LCSW, 13 years of experience
Hi, I’m Alina—a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over a decade of experience supporting children, adolescents, and adults from diverse cultural backgrounds. I specialize in helping clients navigate life’s challenges, whether they stem from current stressors or unresolved past experiences. My approach is rooted in compassion, collaboration, and trust. I strive to create a safe and nonjudgmental space where you can freely explore your emotions, gain insight, and develop effective tools to feel more empowered in your daily life.
Our first session is about getting to know one another. I’ll invite you to share what brought you to therapy and what you hope to get out of it, and I’ll ask a few questions to better understand your background and needs. We'll move at your pace—there's no pressure to dive too deep too soon. Most importantly, this session is an opportunity for you to get a feel for how I work and whether this space feels right for you.
Clients often share that they feel truly heard, validated, and supported when working with me. I bring warmth, empathy, and curiosity to every session, and I pride myself on meeting clients where they are. My approach is strengths-based, meaning we’ll build on what’s already working in your life while addressing the areas that feel stuck or overwhelming. I also offer practical tools and strategies that you can begin using right away to support real, lasting change.
I have experience working with adolescents, young adults and adults from various cultural backgrounds facing a wide range of challenges—from managing everyday stress to coping with anxiety, mood disorders, or difficult life experiences. Many of my clients are juggling school, work, family responsibilities, or relationship struggles, and are looking for support in finding balance and building confidence. My goal is to help you feel heard, supported, and equipped with tools to navigate what life throws your way.
CBT is one of the main approaches I use to help clients identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns that contribute to feelings of anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem. Together, we work to reframe these thoughts and develop healthier perspectives that lead to more effective actions and improved emotional well-being.
I believe therapy should empower you. Through a strengths-based lens, we’ll identify your unique resources, values, and skills, and use them as a foundation for growth. I aim to create a space where you feel safe to express yourself, reflect on your experiences, and move toward the goals that matter most to you.
Supportive therapy is at the heart of how I approach my work with clients. I strive to create a consistent, empathetic space where you feel understood, encouraged, and emotionally supported. This approach allows us to focus on your current stressors while reinforcing your existing strengths and coping skills. My goal is to help you feel grounded and empowered as we work through challenges together—at your pace, and in a way that feels manageable and validating.
