I am a bilingual psychotherapist and I specialize in trauma, anxiety, stress, and self-esteem issues. I approach therapy with empathy, compassion, and respect. I am passionate about utilizing evidence-based strategies to help clients successfully reach their treatment goals. I utilize a compassionate and client-centered approach, empowering and supporting clients toward healing and change. Let's talk about enhancing your emotional well-being and how I can support you in designing a life you love living!
In our first session, I help clients feel welcomed, comfortable, and safe. We'll go over informed consent and expectations of treatment. There will be a lot of questions and information gathering to help me understand you while providing insight into the function of your experiences. I take a collaborative approach that supports you, builds on your strengths, and increases your ability to cope with life's current and future challenges.
Having experience specializing in trauma and self-esteem work. I worked in community mental health where I provided individual therapy (children, teens, adults, and older adults), couples therapy, and family therapy. I also provided group therapy to victims of domestic violence for 4 years. I was then inspired to specialize in trauma work and completed my training in EMDR through the EMDR Institute. When I'm not providing therapy, I am working as a clinical supervisor supporting intern therapists toward licensure.
Clients choose to work with me after experiencing a traumatic event(s), loss of a loved one (i.e., death, divorce, seperation), relationship difficulties, or they want to gain more insight and personal growth. Whether you are feeling stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected from the people you love, frustrated by a relationship, or burdened by stress, anxiety, or sadness -I can help. You deserve relief
