Hola, as a bilingual Spanish-English-speaking Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I provide culturally responsive care and strive to create a safe, welcoming space where clients feel seen, heard, and valued. My work focuses on supporting clients who are navigating generational and intergenerational trauma, the experiences of first-generation individuals and families, family conflict, relationship challenges, and the impact of past experiences on present-day relationships and emotional well-being. With a grounded and genuine approach, I meet clients where they are and empower them to better understand themselves, strengthen their relationships, develop healthier patterns, and reconnect with their own resilience. I recognize that each person’s story is shaped by their culture, family experiences, and personal journey, and I honor the courage it takes to seek support and create change.

I am a bilingual therapist (English & Spanish) that believes therapy should be a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered. Reaching out for help takes courage, and you do not have to face life’s challenges alone. I support adults and older adults experiencing depression, anxiety, mood disorders, panic attacks, burnout, chronic stress, grief, chronic pain, and difficult life transitions. I also work with individuals navigating divorce, relationship and marital concerns, family conflict, women’s and men’s issues, caregiving responsibilities, retirement, and adjustments related to medical conditions or changes in health. Many clients seek therapy when they feel overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, stuck, or uncertain about how to move forward. I provide support in exploring the thoughts, emotions, and patterns that may be impacting your relationships, work, and overall quality of life. Together, we will identify your strengths, develop healthier coping strategies, improve emotional regulation, and create practical solutions to help you regain balance and confidence. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and personalized to your unique needs and goals. I utilize evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), mindfulness-based interventions, and strengths-based counseling to help you better understand yourself, manage symptoms, and create meaningful change. Therapy is tailored to your individual experiences, values, and personal journey. I am passionate about helping individuals navigate life’s challenges while building resilience, improving relationships, and developing the skills needed to create a more fulfilling life. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression, panic attacks, emotional burnout, relationship difficulties, chronic stress, chronic pain, or adjusting to a major life transition, I am here to support you in taking the next steps toward healing and growth. I would be honored to walk alongside you as you work toward greater emotional wellness and a renewed sense of hope.

We are all faced with challenges. These challenges can create limitations that interfere with gaining a sense of self, forming healthy relationships, and pursuing our goals. I believe we should not allow these obstacles to dictate how we respond to the environment around us. Learning healthy coping skills, challenging negative self talk, and setting effective boundaries can facilitate desired outcomes in our daily life. Given the opportunity, I would enjoy working with you right where you are. Let’s get to work!

I’ve been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker for the past 16 years, and I truly love what I do. I approach every client with empathy, compassion, acceptance, and without judgment, regardless of what brings them to therapy. If this is your first experience with therapy, my goal is to make the process feel comfortable and approachable. Therapy begins with a conversation with someone who knows how to listen, ask meaningful questions, and understand what you are experiencing. I work to create a safe space where you can talk openly about anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship struggles, or experiences that may be difficult to put into words. My clinical perspective has been shaped by working across multiple levels of mental health care, including state psychiatric hospitals, correctional and forensic settings, emergency mental health services, adult parole operations, and substance use treatment programs. I have worked extensively with individuals experiencing severe mental illness, substance use disorders, trauma, and complex emotional and behavioral concerns. These experiences taught me that effective treatment requires both compassion and clinical precision. Today, I primarily work with adults and couples navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, perfectionism, relationship difficulties, attachment wounds, and major life transitions. My approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), EMDR, insight-oriented therapy, and attachment-based strategies. As an EMDRIA-certified EMDR therapist, I have specialized training in helping clients process distressing experiences that continue to affect their emotions, beliefs, relationships, and behaviors. My style is calm, supportive, and direct. My role is not simply to listen, but to help you understand patterns, regulate difficult emotions, improve communication, and develop practical tools for change. Together, we establish clear goals and work toward meaningful, measurable progress that extends beyond the therapy room.

Hi there, my name is Tabitha. I am based in rural Northern California and have been working as a therapist for the past 12 years. I am beginning my online private practice and enjoy supporting people through life’s transitions. This may include juggling the responsibilities of becoming a new parent while also trying to maintain your own mental health, moving forward after the end of a relationship, adjusting to the changes that come with blending families, or navigating other significant life changes. I view these periods of transition as opportunities for growth, self-discovery, and learning to thrive as you step into a new chapter of your life. I am also passionate about supporting people in improving their relationships whether it be with a romantic partner, family member, coworker, or other significant person. We can explore communication skills, boundaries, attachment styles, navigating conflict, and/or recognizing and addressing any patterns of codependency. We can also work toward gaining clarity about what is within your control and how to respond to what is outside of your control.

As a black female school-based therapist, my dream client is one who approaches therapy with openness, honesty, and a willingness to engage in the process of self-discovery and growth. My dream client understands the importance of mental health and values the support that therapy can provide in navigating the challenges of adolescence. Ideally, my dream client is someone who is eager to explore their identity, including aspects of race, culture, and gender, in a safe and affirming space. They are open to discussing sensitive topics and are willing to challenge societal norms and expectations that may be impacting their well-being. My dream client is proactive in their approach to therapy, actively participating in sessions, completing assigned tasks or homework, and practicing coping skills outside of our sessions. They understand that therapy is a collaborative effort and are committed to working together to achieve their goals. Additionally, my dream client is respectful, compassionate, and empathetic towards others, fostering a sense of community and support within the therapeutic environment. They are open to learning from different perspectives and are willing to engage in discussions around social justice, equity, and inclusion. Overall, my dream client is someone who is committed to their personal growth and development, embraces their uniqueness, and values the power of therapy in fostering resilience and well-being.

I am a psychotherapist, a meditation teacher, and an amateur naturalist. In my home country, I am licensed to conduct learning disability evaluations. My growing up was first-hand impacted by 3 very different languages and cultures. These cultures informed the style of my relationships and my esthetic preferences. For as long as I can remember, I have been mystified by human memory functioning, first as a scientist, then as a meditator. Having gone a long way from trying to remember everything I deemed worth remembering to a more effortless and drama-free attitude toward memory-creating moments, I am still making sense of what it means to integrate each moment of life as it comes. Approaching this subject experientially and relationally informs who I am as a practitioner and as a person. If topics like cognitive functioning, memory styles and focus make your curiosity antennas hum, this is a place for you. My approach to psychotherapy is highly relational and somewhat didactic. I love to explain everything I see and say at every step of the process. With me, you will never experience a blank screen characteristic of traditional psychoanalytic approaches (from which I draw inspiration in the realm of dream interpretation and theory).

Hello! Is something holding you back from living life to your fullest potential? Feeling stuck? Anxious? Experiencing a difficult life transition? Depressed and unable to thrive in your current life situation? As a licensed professional clinical counselor and board certified somatic psychotherapist, I will address your concerns with an integrated approach that honors the sacredness of your body, mind & spirit. The body is the carrier of all of our lived experiences, and there is so much wisdom within each of us. I bring a unique perspective of nervous system functioning through Chi for Two® a mindful embodiment method. Scientist Stephen Porges created polyvagal theory. Polyvagal theory helps us recognize anxiety and depression as symptoms of trauma. When we experience trauma, our bodies create nervous system patterning that gets passed down over generations. When our ancestors experienced trauma, their bodies created nervous system patterning that got passed down to us. Chi for Two partner practices help us heal multi-generational trauma. I am interested in tapping into the internal resources you already possess, while providing you with accessible skills to support your journey towards having a life worth living become a reality.

I loved every minute of learning and felt more certain with each class that I was on the right path. My dedication paid off...I earned straight A's and received the Academic Achievement Award in Psychology. More importantly I found a sense of purpose in supporting others on their mental health journeys.

I’ve always been curious about people—why we feel the way we do, how our relationships shape us, and what helps us through difficult times. Becoming a therapist felt like a natural extension of that curiosity. Over the years, my own life experiences have deepened the way I understand this work and taught me that sometimes people don’t need to be “fixed”—they need a place where they can feel understood, make sense of what they’re carrying, and reconnect with themselves. I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and have been working with adults for nearly 20 years. I work with anxiety, grief, relationships, caregiving, and the transitions and experiences that can leave us feeling overwhelmed or disconnected from ourselves. I believe a lot of therapy is about becoming curious about ourselves. Understanding why we respond the way we do, where certain patterns came from, and what we may need now that we didn’t have or know how to ask for before. My hope is to create a space where you can be honest about what you’re feeling, understand yourself more deeply, and begin to trust yourself in a different way.

I am constantly amazed by the human spirit and believe firmly that everyone has an ability to heal. Allow me the privilege of being part of your journey.

I work best with people who are curious about themselves and open to being honest, even when it feels uncomfortable. Many start therapy because of anxiety or depression, but these feelings often signal something deeper, like a weak sense of identity or a lack of purpose. If you are ready to explore your inner world and face what you find, I would be glad to support you on that journey. I work with adults, including Russian-speaking immigrants from the former Soviet Union and other countries. I offer sessions in both English and Russian.

I've spent the last 15 years working as a marriage and family therapist, helping clients create lasting, positive change. I draw on Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Solution-Focused Brief Treatment (SFBT), blending the two into an evidence-based approach shaped around each client's needs. My work centers on building emotional resilience, strengthening communication, and helping people forge deeper connections — with others and with themselves. I love walking alongside clients as they work toward their goals and build a life that feels genuinely fulfilling.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over 25 years of experience in the mental health field. Originally from Taiwan, I earned my Master of Social Work degree from Columbia University. Throughout my career, I have worked with a diverse range of individuals and communities, including children and families, adolescents, transitional-age youth, young adults, older adults, men, women, couples, LGBTQ+ individuals, and justice-involved populations. I am fluent in English, Mandarin, and Taiwanese. I understand that our cultural backgrounds, family experiences, and life circumstances can shape who we are and influence the way we see ourselves, our relationships, and the world around us. My clinical experience has given me a broad understanding of the unique challenges people face at different stages of life. I strive to create a respectful and supportive environment where you can feel heard, understood, and empowered to work toward meaningful change. In today's fast-paced world, many people find themselves overwhelmed by daily responsibilities and disconnected from what brings meaning and fulfillment to their lives. It is common to push aside difficult thoughts and emotions simply to get through the day. Over time, however, this can leave us feeling stuck, isolated, or uncertain about how to move forward. Whether you are navigating a major life transition, experiencing relationship difficulties, seeking greater self-understanding, or simply looking for a safe space to process your experiences, therapy can provide an opportunity to gain insight and perspective. My approach is direct yet empathic, collaborative, and solution-focused, while remaining grounded in genuine compassion and practical feedback. Together, we can explore the challenges you are facing, identify patterns that may be holding you back, build upon your strengths, and work toward meaningful, positive, and lasting change. I invite you to begin the process of moving toward a more fulfilling, and authentic life.

I feel very fortunate to have grown up in the Bay Area, but never truly appreciated it until I left and came back. I attended high school in Marin at the Branson School in Ross. After High School I left for Wheaton College in Massachusetts where I earned a B.A. in Psychology. I moved to Florida where I received my Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Central Florida. Prior to earning my Masters in Psychology I spent a number of years working in child and adolescent residential treatment centers in both San Francisco and Orlando, Florida. It was at this time that I fell in love with working with adolescents, adults, and their families. After graduate school, I found myself working for, and soon thereafter managing, an inpatient treatment program for adolescents who had experienced severe trauma. I returned to California for good in 2011 where I started working as the Lead Therapist for the Adolescent Outpatient Program at Fremont Hospital. I opened a part time private practice in 2012 and transitioned to a full time practice in San Francisco in early 2013.

My name is Dr. Sheilly Arora, and I have been a practicing psychologist for nearly 20 years. I genuinely love what I do and consider it a privilege to help people navigate life's challenges and improve their overall well-being. I specialize in several evidence-based treatments, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for depression, anxiety, chronic pain, insomnia, and PTSD. My primary clinical focus is **Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I)**, the gold-standard, evidence-based treatment for chronic sleep difficulties. It is incredibly rewarding to see how transformative this approach can be, and I look forward to helping you achieve more restful sleep and a better quality of life if insomnia has been affecting you. Originally from the East Coast, I completed both my internship and postdoctoral training in California and have proudly called it home ever since. I feel fortunate to live and work in a community where I can do meaningful work helping others every day. This version reads naturally for a professional website, highlights your expertise in CBT-I, and conveys warmth without sounding overly formal. If your audience is primarily veterans or patients in a medical setting, I can also make it feel a bit more approachable and relatable.
