LCSW, 10 years of experience
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Virginia and California, and I show up in therapy as a real person first. I know how important it is to have a space where you can be seen and understood without judgment. My style is warm, honest, and down-to-earth. I don’t use labels to define you. I listen, reflect, and walk with you through whatever challenges you’re facing. Whether it’s stress, anxiety, depression, or shame, I help you untangle what feels heavy so you can move toward healing and peace.
Our first session will feel like a thoughtful conversation where you can finally take a breath. I’ll invite you to share what’s bringing you to therapy and what you hope to get out of it. Together, we’ll explore your story, clarify your immediate concerns, and start identifying patterns that may be holding you back. By the end of the session, you’ll have a sense of direction, reassurance that you’re not alone in this, and a plan for moving forward.
I draw from evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Person-Centered Therapy. In practice, that means helping you notice and shift unhelpful thought patterns, explore the stories you carry about yourself, and build motivation for change in ways that feel empowering. I also integrate mindfulness, stress-management strategies, and culturally responsive practices to address the impact of work stress, racial trauma, and identity on mental health. Every plan is tailored to your unique needs, so you can leave sessions with both insight and practical tools you can use right away.
I specialize in helping clients reduce anxiety and depression while also building resilience and healthier ways to cope with life’s stressors. My strength lies in blending evidence-based strategies with a down-to-earth, collaborative style. I don’t just focus on managing symptoms—I help clients understand the “why” behind their struggles, so lasting change feels possible. Clients often share that they leave sessions feeling heard, supported, and equipped with practical tools they can start using right away.
I work best with adults and professionals who feel the pressure to hold it all together but are quietly overwhelmed inside. My clients often describe feeling stuck in cycles of high-functioning anxiety, persistent sadness, or burnout from work, family, and personal expectations. They may also be carrying the invisible weight of grief, trauma, or cultural stressors that make daily life heavier than it looks from the outside. If you’re someone who wants to break free from people-pleasing, perfectionism, or constant self-doubt, I provide a safe, affirming space to help you untangle those patterns and rediscover your strength. I especially enjoy supporting clients who value growth, creativity, and authenticity, but struggle to find balance while caring for everyone else.

Anthony is a great listener. He hears me and asks questions to understand me. He is an encourager as well, letting me know that I am making progress and providing resources for me to make even more progress. I look forward to our conversations.

My first session with Anthony felt comfortable/motivated to speak, transparently, about all that brought me to seek therapy. I've attended individual therapy, premarital therapy, marital counseling; so this is not my first rodeo in different fashions. I'm not only excited to continue sessions with him, I also, FINALLY, felt an adrenaline rush. Now, I'm at a stage in my life where I want to put all I've learned from therapy and past advice into ways to make me self sufficient... for my kids
