I specialize in uncovering the root causes behind feelings of anxiety and depression, helping individuals break free from unproductive patterns that may be holding them back. With over 30 years of experience as a therapist, I've discovered that when we expose these patterns and express the emotions tied to them, your true self emerges. As internal conflicts diminish, relationships flourish, and the authentic meaning and purpose of your identity come to light. My goal is to guide each person in developing a personalized plan that aligns with their values and unique contributions. I've had the privilege of working with individuals of all ages. For children and young people, I provide a safe space for them to express themselves and navigate life's challenges. On the other end of the spectrum, I've supported elders and disabled individuals coping with loss and grief. When emotions connected to grief are stifled, I specialize in identifying and resolving these emotional roadblocks, facilitating a path to healing and adjustment.

Have you ever asked yourself, "why don't I feel good about myself and my choices in life?" I want to help you explore those feelings and get to the root cause so we can reveal the parts of you that feel alive and whole again. Do you remember the hopes and dreams you had as a child? What happened to those dreams? It could be life events or circumstances, some that were out of your control and some that you made consciously or unconsciously. If you have experienced trauma, sexual trauma, this can contribute to your mental, physical, and emotional struggles. Sexual trauma is not easy to discuss, as it is a taboo topic, and you may not find you can share your story with your friends and family. Secrecy is part of the toxic shame that often leads to issues with self-esteem, relationships, intimacy, and other behavioral problems. Every person has the answers within themselves to reveal the shiny pearl in the bed of a sandy oyster. I can help you if you are ready to do the work of personal growth and healing.

While maintaining the person in the environment perspective throughout my career, I supported antiracist policies, ideas, and actions. This is why I continue to practice in a manner that promotes self-awareness and self-reflectiveness for myself and with clients in a healing journey to self-care and resilience. I believe it is important to use narrative therapy and other therapies with the theory of intersectionality to remain person-centered. My practice is also focused on treating trauma and/or race-based stress that has shaped a person’s inner world; so the use of Feminist therapy, Queer Theory, and Liberation Psychology are introduced as appropriate. However, I was constantly drawn to psychology and eager to study the relationship between conscious and unconscious phenomena and the role of feelings and thoughts. Therefore, I was keen to make a career change to becoming a psychotherapist. To pursue my goal, I enrolled in a master's degree program in psychology, which required a significant time commitment. I often spent long hours in the evenings and on weekends reading textbooks, writing papers, and preparing for exams. Hello, I am Chung, a bi-lingual Vietnamese licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) in California with over 20 years of experience in mental health field. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, grief & loss, PTSD, anger & stress management, relationship issues, substance abuse, parenting problems, individual with special needs, career challenges, OCD & ADHD, bi-polar, BPD, schizophrenia, etc. However, I don't accept couple/family at this time. I also don't provide any verification letter. I believe in working in partnership with clients, utilizing their strengths to help them sort out their challenges and achieve their goals. I also realize how important it is to identify all aspects of an individual’s life that impact their well-being including their physical health, support systems (family, friends), work or school environment, faith & spirituality in this process. I think when people have hope and can learn to challenge and replace irrational thoughts, beliefs, and attitudes, people are free to experience change. Everyone needs courage to take the first step to change. If you are ready and willing to take this step, please don't hesitant to book a virtual appointment with me by calling +1 (786) 755-1863, or emailing reception+LCSW13768@growtherapy.com I'm looking forward to working with you!

I am a Christian Clinical, Forensic and Sports Neuropsychologist. Like many folks who get into the mental health field, I had certain mental health challenges. My family of origin was burdened with addiction and mental health. I currently have 38 years of sobriety and am intimately familiar with 12 Step, Christ-centered and Mindfulness aspects of recovery. I specialize in the treatment of Trauma and Addiction with family systems and attachment orientation. As a trained child psychologist I also place particular emphasis on developmental aspects of trauma. As a former Navy psychologist with many years working with veterans and first responders, I am very familiar with those cultures. I played college soccer, run 20 marathons, taught scuba as well as being an award winning underwater photographer and competed at the CrossFit World Games for 3 years. I am married, have a son (retired Navy) and a daughter in heaven.

I’m Steven Frank. I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT), licensed in California and living in Seattle, Washington. The way the law works is that if I have a California license, I can live outside of California, but can only work with California residents. For that reason, all my work is performed online through telehealth. I see adults and senior adults in my practice and my work is with individuals. I’ve been licensed since 1983 but actually began to “grow” a private practice beginning in 1990. While most of my experience has been with clients dealing with depression and anxiety, over the last 4-5 years I’ve been more focused on the treatment for symptoms of trauma and abuse. I’ve been trained in EMDR (a specific treatment for trauma), and will use that method as needed, when appropriate, and with your understanding of the process, and consent. By the way, my first job experience (before beginning my schooling for the MFT license), was in the California State Hospital system as a psychiatric technician. I was a member of a hospital inpatient treatment team that treated people with severe mental disorders. This was excellent training for working with clients who are seeking help, but on an outpatient basis.
