About me

Hi, I’m George. I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a Master’s in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University—but more importantly, I’m someone who genuinely enjoys helping people feel more understood, less overwhelmed, and more in control of their lives. I’ve been working in the mental health field since 2017, and my journey has taken me through a wide range of settings—from private practice to Full Service Partnership (FSP), Assertive Outreach Team (AOT), transitional housing, and community health clinics. Each space has shaped the way I show up as a therapist: grounded, compassionate, and always focused on meeting people where they’re at. I bring clinical experience, sure-but I also bring a very human approach. Therapy with me isn't about hierarchy or diagnoses. It's collaborative space where you can talk about the hard stuff without judgement, explore what's working (and what's not), and start building a life that feels more aligned and sustainable. In my personal time, I enjoy walking my dog, engaging in video games with my stepson, and immersing myself in the world of sports. Additionally, I am an enthusiastic fan of Lego, Star Wars, and Disney. I look forward to the opportunity to work together and support you on your journey toward positive change.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Your first session is all about getting to know each other. Think of it as a gentle conversation where we begin laying the foundation for your care and support. We'll talk about what brought you in, what you're hoping to work on, and any questions or concerns you might have. There's no pressure to share everything at once-this is your space, and we'll go at your pace! I may ask questions to better understand your background, your goals, and how I can best support you. It's also a chance for you to get a feel for how I work and decide if this feels like a good fit. Above all, the first session is a step forward feeling heard, understood, and supported. You've already done something brake by showing up. Lets take it from here-togeter.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

What clients often say stands out about working with me is how human the process feels. Therapy doesn’t have to be clinical, cold, or intimidating—it can feel like a grounded, real conversation with someone who genuinely gets it. I meet clients where they are, especially when life feels uncertain, heavy, or out of control. Whether you’re working through the fog of depression, the spiral of anxiety, or the stress of a major life shift, we’ll work toward clarity, coping, and meaningful change—at a pace that feels right for you. My approach is relational and collaborative. I don’t sit back and nod—I engage with you, explore patterns with curiosity, and offer tools that actually make sense for your life. I pull from evidence-based practices like CBT, solution-focused therapy, and strength-based approaches, but I never treat you like a textbook. You’re the expert on your experience—I’m here to help you make sense of it and move through it.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or like things just aren’t clicking the way they used to, you’re not alone—and you don’t have to sort through it all on your own. Whether it’s the weight of depression, the constant hum of anxiety, or the stress of a big life shift (planned or not), therapy can be a space to exhale. My approach is relaxed, down-to-earth, and collaborative. No stuffy therapist vibes here. Just real conversations in a space where you can show up exactly as you are—no pressure, no perfection required. I’m here to help you make sense of what you’re feeling, explore what’s getting in the way, and figure out what support actually looks like for you. You bring your lived experience. I bring the tools and insight to help us navigate it together. We don’t have to dive into everything at once. We’ll go at your pace. Step by step, we’ll build something that feels like relief, clarity, and forward momentum.
