Warm greetings to the Grow Therapy community! My counseling journey began in 2019, inspired by a deep commitment to helping people navigate life’s challenges and discover their inner resilience. I hold a Master of Science in Licensed Professional Counseling from Grand Canyon University and a Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing, which allows me to bring both clinical expertise and creativity into my work. I specialize in supporting individuals facing depression, anxiety, PTSD, trauma, self-esteem challenges, personality disorders, substance use, and eating disorders. I also work with clients navigating career transitions, parenting struggles, and codependency. My approach is holistic, compassionate, and trauma-informed. I integrate evidence-based therapies such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, and Narrative Therapy. Through this integrative lens, I help clients regulate emotions, reframe unhelpful self-narratives, and cultivate healthier coping skills. Mindfulness practices support clients in staying present and grounded, while Narrative Therapy empowers them to rewrite their stories with hope and clarity. Above all, I strive to create a safe, supportive space where healing feels possible. My goal is to provide care that is not only effective but also tailored to each client’s unique needs. I believe therapy is a collaborative process, and together we work toward clarity, confidence, and lasting growth. Outside of my practice, I enjoy time with my family and pets, exploring the outdoors, and expressing creativity through writing and photography.

As a Christian woman, you want a therapist who understands both your faith and your struggles without judgement. I help women who feel anxious, overwhelmed, and unlike themselves find steadiness in their emotions, their relationships, and their walk with God. Maybe you’ve noticed changes in your mood, find yourself overthinking, or have questions about relationships that matter to you. It could be that you are going through a difficult season, hormonal changes related to perimenopause or PMDD, or due to memories and hurts that still affect you today. You may be telling yourself that if you prayed more or tried harder, you’d be fine. I hear this a lot. You’re not going crazy, and you’re not weak. What used to work just isn’t working right now. As a bilingual (English & Español), licensed therapist with 20 years of experience, I’ve walked with many women of all ages through hard seasons. In our sessions, we’ll figure out what’s going on and work on practical ways to calm your mind, manage your emotions, and relate to yourself with great self-compassion. As a Christian therapist, I can draw on biblical truths alongside proven approaches like cognitive-behavioral therapy and acceptance and commitment therapy, so your faith becomes part of your healing. If you’d rather keep faith out of our sessions, that’s completely okay too. También ofrezco terapia en español.

Hi, I'm Alane, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist serving individuals in Texas and North Carolina through virtual therapy. I work with people who look like they have it all together but feel overwhelmed behind the scenes. Many of my clients are capable, independent, and used to being the ones others rely on, but have reached a point where simply pushing through is no longer sustainable. I specialize in supporting individuals navigating anxiety, burnout, stress, life transitions, silent grief, relationship challenges, and the pressure of balancing personal and professional responsibilities. My approach is warm, collaborative, and practical, creating a space where you can feel understood while exploring the patterns, experiences, and expectations that shape how you move through life. Together, we’ll build self-awareness, strengthen boundaries, and develop tools that support meaningful, lasting change. I believe therapy is not about changing who you are, but about helping you reconnect with yourself, understand your strengths, and create a life that feels more aligned with your values. My goal is to help you feel more grounded, confident, and capable of navigating life’s challenges with greater clarity and self-trust.

Hello, I was born and raised in Stockton, California. I enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps at the age of 17 and in 1997, after 25 yeas of service, I retired from the Marine Corps as a Master Sergeant. After retiring from the Marine Corps, I worked as a Farrier (Horseshoer), as well as a structural welder (Ironworker), as those were the most marketable skill that I had. I came to a point where old injuries came back to haunt me and I could no longer walk (several years later, thanks to a surgery through the VA, I can walk again; thankful for that). At this point, I changed professions and out of a desire to work with veterans, I returned to school, accomplishing all that was necessary to become a licensed counselor. I spent another career working for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, specifically as a counselor in the Readjustment Counseling Service (Vet Center). I recently retired from the Vet Center and now I work part-time here with Grow Therapy. As a retired Marine senior staff Non-Commissioned Officer (SNCO) and disabled combat veteran myself, the Vet Center was the perfect job. Vet Centers provide readjustment counseling to combat veterans and provide counseling to survivors of military sexual trauma (MST). Vet Centers also provide group counseling, bereavement counseling and couples counseling when this is determined to be of support to the veteran. Readjustment counseling many times consists of treating/addressing symptoms related to post-traumatic stress (PTSD), I.e., anxiety, depression, exaggerated startle response, hypervigilance, sleep disturbance, etc. Many veterans go on to work as first responders and working with many first responders as well as medical personal, has provided me with a great deal of additional experience.

Hi, I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 40 years of experience helping individuals, couples, and families navigate life’s challenges and find a greater sense of balance and fulfillment. My career has taken me through many roles—serving on community mental health boards, directing psychiatric residential programs, and leading clinical teams—all with one goal: to support people in living fuller, healthier, and more connected lives. Since stepping back from full-time leadership roles, I’ve shifted my focus to what I value most—working directly with clients through my online therapy practice. I specialize in supporting young and middle-aged adults, couples, and parents who are facing life transitions, relationship challenges, low self-esteem, addictive habits, or a sense of feeling stuck. My approach combines the practical tools of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with a deeper exploration of the emotional and mental blocks that may be holding you back. I believe healing and growth happen when we align mind, body, and spirit—restoring a sense of inner harmony that allows you to live with more clarity, purpose, and peace. Therapy is a journey, and you don’t have to take it alone. If you’re ready to begin creating positive changes in your life, I’d be honored to walk alongside you. My name is Elizabeth and I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC) in the states of Texas and Arizona. I am also a certified school counselor and transitioned to full-time mental health counseling after working as a high school counselor. I have been working as a counselor for 10 years, primarily in the school setting. I helped my students with issues such as family problems, academic struggles, relationship issues, trauma/abuse, ADHD, autism, depression, anxiety, perfectionism, grief, and suicidal ideation. Before working as a counselor, I was an elementary teacher for 6 years. I have experience working with adults and adolescents. I love seeing my clients understand themselves better and improve their mental health. I feel comfortable counseling people from a variety of backgrounds, especially those whose backgrounds are different than my own. My entire professional career has been spent with a primarily Hispanic population, but I am comfortable with other cultures, as well. I am a big fan of CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and Solutions-focused therapy, but I try to cater my counseling to each client, so I often incorporate different counseling philosophies as needed. I believe my clients are the experts on their own lives and I want to work with them to improve their contentment, coping skills, and mental health. I believe it is important and beneficial to have a nonjudgmental, unbiased person to talk to. This is one of the best parts of counseling. I often use humor to lighten the mood when counseling. I find this helps grow my relationships with my clients. Congratulations on making the first step towards getting help. I would love to work with you.

I believe that compassion and self-love are powerful tools that allow us to overcome life’s challenges and mental health struggles. By fostering a nonjudgmental and understanding environment, we can acknowledge that perfection is not the goal—growth is. Each person is unique, processing experiences in their own way and at their own pace. Through patience, collaboration, and consistency, we can achieve meaningful goals and build resilience together. As a Licensed Professional Counselor, my purpose is to help others just as I was once helped. My personal journey—marked by life experiences, challenges, and both right and wrong choices—has guided me toward the most rewarding profession: supporting others in their healing. It would be an honor to walk alongside you on your healing journey and to help you discover your strength, resilience, and potential for growth.

I am a warm, compassionate, and down-to-earth therapist who believes therapy works best when clients feel genuinely safe, heard, and understood. I strive to create a space where people can show up as they are without feeling judged, rushed, or expected to have everything figured out. My approach is rooted in connection and collaboration. While I incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), somatic and nervous-system-informed techniques, and trauma-informed care into my work, I primarily work from a person-centered perspective, meaning I tailor therapy to each individual rather than taking a rigid or one-size-fits-all approach. I enjoy working with adolescents and adults who may be navigating anxiety, life transitions, relationship challenges, trauma, stress, or self-esteem struggles. Many of my clients are thoughtful, sensitive, high-functioning people who are used to carrying a lot internally and are looking for both practical support and a deeper understanding of themselves. I believe healing often begins with having a space where you no longer feel like you have to hold everything together alone. My goal is to help clients feel supported while building insight, confidence, emotional resilience, and meaningful change in their lives.

Hello, I’m Dennis Alvarez, PsyD. I believe counseling should both encourage and thoughtfully challenge individuals to move toward their fullest potential by addressing the mental, emotional, and spiritual dimensions of their lives. I hold a Doctorate in Psychology and a post-graduate diploma in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and I am a licensed psychotherapist with experience across hospital, treatment, and private-practice settings. Throughout my career, I have provided individual and group therapy as well as comprehensive psychological assessments to adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, relational distress, substance-use concerns, and life-transition stressors. My clinical background includes work in hospitals, substance-use treatment programs, and outpatient private practice, where I integrate evidence-based approaches within a holistic, person-centered framework. I am also the author of When Heaven Was Silent: Integrating Psychology and Theology in the Garden of Gethsemane, which explores the experience of mental suffering through both clinical and historical perspectives. My doctoral dissertation focused on trauma and psychological adaptation, further shaping my approach to helping individuals understand their internal patterns, build resilience, and restore a sense of meaning and purpose. In my work with clients, I emphasize helping people understand how and why certain thoughts, emotions, and behavioral patterns develop, particularly in the context of anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance-use histories. I strive to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental therapeutic environment while also encouraging insight, personal responsibility, and growth. My goal is to help you move toward a more grounded, authentic, and meaningful life.

Hello! I have been blessed to experience life through many meaningful roles, including being a daughter, wife, mother, Gigi, and friend. Each of these experiences has shaped the way I connect with others and has given me a deeper understanding of the joys, challenges, responsibilities, and transitions that people experience throughout life. I truly enjoy building genuine relationships and creating a space where people feel comfortable, valued, and heard. One of the things I love most about counseling is getting to know each person’s unique story and helping them identify their needs, goals, and strengths. I believe every individual deserves support, encouragement, and compassion as they navigate life’s challenges. My approach is centered on meeting people where they are while helping them discover practical ways to grow, heal, and move forward. As a Christian, my faith plays an important role in the way I view people and relationships. I believe every person has value, purpose, and the ability to grow through life’s experiences. I genuinely love people and feel honored to walk alongside clients as they work toward healing, clarity, confidence, and positive change in their lives.
