Do you feel isolated, alone, and misunderstood as a woman struggling with alcohol, anxiety, or self-worth?
Do you find yourself stuck in the same patterns—overdrinking, people-pleasing, or self-sabotaging—even when you want change?
Is it hard to slow down, be present, or sit with your thoughts—without reaching for distraction or alcohol?
Do you feel as if you are always in “go mode,” even when you’re exhausted?
Are you focused on others’ needs instead of your own?
Are you hesitant to talk to others about your problems?
I believe that meaningful change begins with understanding and self-compassion. You already carry the capacity for growth and healing, but sometimes we need support to recognize it. Therapy offers a fresh perspective to help you break free from old patterns, develop new skills, and respond more intentionally to life’s challenges.
My goal is to create a warm, nonjudgmental environment where curiosity replaces self-criticism, and where your strengths, resilience, and well-being are at the center of the work we do together.
I believe therapy should feel like a space where you can exhale—where you don’t have to have everything figured out, and where you can show up exactly as you are. I know that life can feel overwhelming when you’re carrying trauma, anxiety, depression, or intense emotions, and I’m passionate about helping clients feel supported as they work toward healing. Through evidence-based approaches like DBT, CBT, and CPT, I help adults make sense of their experiences, strengthen their coping skills, and create meaningful, lasting change. My hope is that our work together helps you feel more grounded, empowered, and connected to the life you want to live.

Hello, and welcome. I’m so glad you’re here. I look forward to working with you and your family. I believe communication—even when it is limited to a single word or gesture—is the foundation of all relationships. In fact, research shows that much of our communication is nonverbal. My goal is to help individuals and families understand their relational patterns, navigate conflict more effectively, and become more congruent and intentional communicators.
I work with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, substance use concerns and relapse prevention, grief and trauma, and bipolar disorders. Additionally, I specialize in autism-related family dynamics, caregiver burnout, and identity transitions. I am the author of Dear Single Mother: A Journal of Autism, Isolation, and Self-Discovery, a reflective work that explores resilience and meaning-making through lived experience. Whether you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply ready for something different, I would be honored to walk alongside you on your journey.

However, I was raised in Stone Mountain/Lithonia, GA, and began my academic journey in Augusta, GA. In 2012, I completed my undergraduate training at Paine College, where I achieved my Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology with an emphasis in pre-professional studies. Seeking to understand more about human interaction and behavior, I developed an intense passion for mental health which led me to the obtainment of my Master of Science Degree in Applied Psychology with a special concentration in Behavioral Health from the University of Phoenix in 2016.
As I grew to learn and understand more about the role and impact of significant relationships and systemic issues on individual mental health, I went on to pursue and obtain my second Master of Science Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Capella University in 2022. My career journey highlights extensive hands-on experience in nearly every realm of the practice of mental/behavioral health to include child & adolescent counseling, family, marriage, and couples counseling, as well as forensic and geriatric psychology, applied behavior analysis, international education coordination services, substance abuse treatment, case management, inpatient psychiatric/crisis intervention, and treatment servicing at-risk youth in secure facilities. Hi! I am Ashley, I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Georgia and South Carolina with extensive knowledge of standard counseling practices and procedures and over 15 years of experience providing evidence-based psychotherapy services for individuals, families and couples. Life can feel heavy and overwhelming, and we don’t have to carry everything alone. I’m here to help shoulder some of that weight and guide you toward the life you’re envisioning. I practice from a holistic perspective, considering all aspects of your life and how they influence one another. Even when we focus on a single concern, we’ll explore the broader patterns and connections that shape your wellbeing. Growth is rarely linear, and we’ll navigate that journey together with intention and compassion to help you get lasting change.
I thrive with clients who understand they need to work for change, want to gain insight and value personal evolution. Sessions often lead to new insights, “aha” moments, and sometimes even a laugh or two. Humor doesn’t replace healing, but it sure can soften the edges of difficult moments.
For my qualifications, I’m have a bachelor’s in Social Work and a master’s degree in counseling earned back in 2013. My background spans substance abuse treatment, grief and trauma work, suicide prevention, attention concerns, and mood and anxiety disorders — I’ve walked alongside people through some of life’s toughest chapters. And if you’re interested in Law of Attraction coaching, I also offer that as a way to help you align your mindset with your goals and dreams.
My name is Miguel Lopez, a Hispanic male (He/Him/His) and U.S. Army combat veteran who brings a unique perspective to my work as a therapist. Fluent in Spanish and passionate about guiding people through life’s challenges, I hold a Master’s in Social Work from Walden University, a Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice from Colorado Technical University, and an Associate’s in Criminal Justice from Pikes Peak State College. With over a decade of experience as a caseworker, substance abuse counselor, and therapist, I’ve had the privilege of working with diverse clients facing real-life struggles and in need of daily support.
Life can be tough, and we all face difficult moments—whether it’s a breakup, divorce, grief, the loss of a loved one or pet, or even a job loss. In these times, having an unbiased person to offer support can make a world of difference. I see trauma as an unexpected part of life that is often hard to process, but with the right help, it can be managed and overcome healthily. I’ve personally experienced more than my share of trauma, grief, loss, sadness, depression, and substance use, and I sought help to work through them.
My approach to therapy is centered on helping people in the best way possible, always with an open mind. I often use Maslow’s hierarchy of needs as a guide, because I believe mental health is hard to prioritize when physical needs aren’t met, or issues like homelessness or substance abuse are present. I enjoy working with clients from age 5 to older adults who face Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, PTSD, Mood Disorders, Personality Disorders, and other mental health or substance use challenges. It’s easy to fight battles alone and suffer in silence, but you don’t have to anymore—together, we can work toward healing and a better future.

I strive to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients feel safe exploring challenges, gaining insight, and learning practical skills to improve their emotional well-being. I understand that reaching out for therapy can feel intimidating, and I work collaboratively with clients to help them feel empowered, understood, and supported throughout the therapeutic process.
I am a therapist who believes in empathy, active listening, applying objective, sound knowledge, & encouraging clients to build on the personal insight they gain from therapy. I have a diverse background, life experiences, & multiple professions including time in the military which has instilled a deep understanding of resilience & the complexities of navigating life. Couples & Individuals 17 years and older. NC, SC, GA, and VA.

As a former football coach, I have developed an approach to therapy that will allow me to utilize coaching concepts to address the needs of my clients. It encompasses a direct approach to address problems with the a level of understanding and empathy that will support a change in behavior. This works well with my CBT background. Therefore I have branded myself as The Therapy Coach. Which means that I am more than just a therapist to my clients.
I am a recently retired clinical psychologist, who spent the last 13 years of my 18 year plus practice helping Veterans at the Rock Hill, SC, VA clinic, as a contract psychotherapist and MH department leader. I am a widower, having raised my two daughters from their young teens, and still am closely connected with them (and my two young grandchildren). I am a retired minister, still active in my local church. I consider my therapy as a gift from God to share healing, encouragement, insight, and acceptance; combining the best of clinical science and a life of faith.
I’m a licensed therapist who is passionate about helping individuals find balance, clarity, and healing in the midst of life’s challenges. I specialize in working with adults—particularly women and helping professionals—who are navigating anxiety, burnout, life transitions, and emotional overwhelm. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based practices, while also honoring the importance of each client’s unique experiences, values, and cultural background.
I use an integrative style that may include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), attachment-based work, mindfulness, and, for those who desire it, faith-based counseling. I believe that therapy should be both practical and meaningful—providing you with tools you can use in your daily life while also creating space for deeper insight and lasting change.
My goal is to create a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where you feel seen, heard, and empowered. Together, we will work to help you better understand yourself, strengthen your coping skills, and move toward a more grounded, intentional, and fulfilling life.
