I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Qualified MHC Supervisor, Certified Sex Therapist, Brainspotting Practitioner and EMDR trained clinician. I specialize in trauma, substance abuse, sexual issues/sex therapy, LGBTQ+ issues & mental health with over 24 years experience in the helping field. My primary offices are in Port St. Lucie, Vero Beach and Orlando with telemental health available throughout Florida, South Carolina and New Jersey. I offer package deals to meet a variety of financial situations. Sliding Fee Scales are also available for those who qualify. Consultations are PAID and available on a scheduled basis ONLY. In your first session you can expect us to discuss your needs, how they've impacted you and what do you desire to get out of going to therapy. We will discuss my approaches to helping you and how we can work together to reach your goal.
When conducting couples or relationship related therapies I use a plethora of skill and tools to hep couples. I am trained in The Gottman Method, Prepare Enrich, Solution-Focused Couples Therapy, Imago Relationship Therapy and more. I am a Certified Sex Therapist with extensive experience in assisting clients over the full gamete of couples concerns such as the following: communication, conflict resolution, lack of intimacy, desire discrepancies, infidelity and much more. When it comes to general mental health, trauma, therapy for therapists and the LGBTQ+ community I believe in navigating these concerns with brain-based therapies (EMDR & Brainspotting) as well as other modalities when appropriate to facilitate healing. This allows clients to see significant change in their lives and moving forward differently.
My strengths cover various areas, but I would say that my skills are best seen when working with complex couples, sexually related concerns and/or clients that have a variety of needs that are more than general mental health concerns. I am an empathetic, compassionate and dedicated therapist. My work with the clients I serve is of the upmost importance and your needs are my priority.
My practice specializes in Relationship & Sex therapy (pre-marital, cohabitation, marital, conscious uncoupling, lack of intimacy, sexual disfunction, out of control sexual behaviors and more), LGBTQ+ Concerns (gender therapy, hRt assistance, interpersonal concerns, etc), Trauma ( PTSD, sexual assault/abuse, etc) therapy for therapists (LMHC, LCSW, LMFT, Psychologists and Psychiatrists getting help for themselves) and therapy for high functioning women of color. There are other areas of concern that used to be a primary focus in my practice that I will consider on a case by case basis.
