I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the states of North and South Carolina. I graduated from Liberty University in 2013. My approach to counseling is very eclectic and person-centered. I have experience in the utilization of Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Family Therapy (FT), Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), and I also assist clients with implementing forms of meditation into their daily lifestyle. I aim to empower each person I am allowed to serve, and to assist them with understanding that each person can heal, cope, and/or adapt despite life's challenges. The power to create change is within each one of us, and my job is to assist you with that process.
Most couples don’t need more talking—they’re stuck in patterns that keep leading to the same conflict or disconnection. I help individuals and couples identify those patterns and understand how they show up in real time, not just in hindsight. From there, we actively practice new ways of responding so change actually happens, not just insight. My approach is direct, experience-based, and grounded in ACT, with space for faith when it matters to you.
I'm Jilana Jaxon, a licensed professional counselor specializing in trauma, grief, and perinatal mental health. I also work with anxiety, depression, unsteadying life transitions, and relationships (including marriage/couples). My goal in every therapeutic relationship is the same: To create a space where you feel safe and grounded enough to explore the hard stuff and supported enough to actually move through it. All sessions are held virtually.
Hi, I’m Nasim Javan - a licensed therapist with over 13 years of experience and a Motherhood Identity & Communication Coach. I’m also a mom of two, an avid tennis lover, and someone who deeply believes that women don’t need to try harder - they need more support.
I specialize in helping women navigate major life transitions, with a particular focus on motherhood, identity shifts, relationship changes, loss, and career transitions. Many of the women I work with are high-functioning, capable, and used to holding everything together - until the mental load, burnout, and emotional exhaustion become too heavy to carry alone.
My work is grounded in a simple truth: struggling doesn’t mean you’re failing - it means you’re unsupported.
I support women who are navigating:
The identity shift of motherhood
Mental load overwhelm and burnout
Relationship and communication challenges
Guilt around asking for help or setting boundaries
Loss, grief, or major life changes
Feeling disconnected from themselves
Together, we work to:
Rebuild confidence and clarity during motherhood
Reduce overwhelm and redistribute the mental load
Strengthen communication and relationship dynamics
Set boundaries without guilt
Develop coping strategies that actually fit real life
Reconnect with who you are - beyond roles and expectations

I bring a wide range of life experiences into my work and offer a relaxed, approachable presence in each session. We’ve all received messages throughout our lives—some that have supported us and others that have caused harm. Together, we can begin to sort through those experiences and let go of what no longer serves you. I take a holistic approach, recognizing that we are more than just our minds, and I intentionally integrate the body and spirituality into the work. My background is in progressive Christianity, while remaining open and respectful of all spiritual paths. I believe people grow most effectively in relationship—with support, insight, and accountability guiding the process.

Hello! I’m Ally (she/her), a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. It can be difficult to navigate all the changes and pressures that come with being a teen or an adult. Hi, I’m Erica. I’m a therapist in the Philadelphia area who believes healing is rarely neat, linear, or Instagram-perfect. My approach blends evidence-based tools with an honest appreciation for how complicated, funny, painful, and beautiful being human can be.
I offer a grounded, judgment-free space for people who want to understand themselves better, break old patterns, or simply breathe a little easier.
As someone living with a disability, I don’t use the word “resilience” lightly. I understand what it means to navigate life with both strength and limitation, and I bring that lived insight into my work—not as a badge of honor, but as a way of connecting with people from a place of truth. I show up as a therapist, yes, but also as a real person who knows what it feels like to keep moving even when things are heavy.
Hi! I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) based in Pennsylvania. I received my Masters from Rosemont College and have been working in the mental health field for over 20 years. Hi, I'm a therapist with over thirty years of experience working with individuals, couples, and families and historically getting positive results. I tend to work with families with special members such as teens and seniors. I have always worked with teens as it seemed to be a population others found difficult, but I liked the challenge. Now that I am a senior, I better understand the needs of our demographic. I tend to utilize a Family Systems approach which sees the individual in a family context as the majority has grown up in some form of family, whether related by blood or not. I've also taught Marriage and Family Therapy through what is now Drexel University's Family Therapy Program and have offered professional Supervision as a Clinical Member and Approved Supervisor of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy. By working with the client in a collaborative, goal setting manner, faster more positive results seem to be achieved.
Hi! I'm Dana, a licensed therapist (LPC) in Philadelphia for adults who are tired of the way their past experiences keep impacting the way they show up in the present, who feel like their feelings are "too much", and who get stuck overthinking everything but are unable to change in the ways they'd like.
If you're struggling with trauma, depression, anxiety, grief, relationship issues and/or low self esteem; I'm here to tell you that there isn't anything 'wrong' with you. You aren't broken, you have simply learned to cope in ways that are no longer serving you. You don't need to be labeled or pathologized, you need to be supported by someone who actually gets you.
I wear many hats as a talk-therapist, creative arts therapist, mom, partner, friend, and engaged community member. While balancing a career as a teaching artist and mom, I was drawn to counseling because of the help I received and my desire to help others navigate life's challenges. I am now a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Board-Certified Dance/Movement Therapist who helps people take the next steps toward feeling better and living fuller.

Hi there! I’m Sarah :) Congratulations at taking the first step in reaching out to a counselor. I can understand how difficult it can be for some to make that decision. It can be hard to admit when someone feels like they need additional help in their lives to get things moving in a positive direction. It's important to recognize that this is not a flaw, and that teamwork is sometimes the best solution for an issue. I believe that the therapeutic relationship is very important and that you need to feel comfortable with someone to open up and trust. I would be honored to be a part of your journey to help you find your desired goals.

I enjoy giving feedback and I love talking! It’s one of the reasons I was drawn to this field. Sitting down and sharing human connection is a passion of mine. Connection and a safe attachment to another is a primitive need that has long been forgotten. Check out my website drsarahwindfeldercom for more info, see you there!

I also have been trained in mindfulness to assist my clients.
I also understand the difficulties one might face related to the current societal climate as it relates to LGBTQ+ population and race. I believe it is important for clients to have a safe space to share
the microaggressions, discrimination, and/or hate that one may face. I believe that I can be that safe space for all individuals.
In my free-time, I am enjoy spending time with my family. During this time, we like to do things outdoors, such as playing pickleball, hiking, paddleboarding, or just relaxing.
Hi, I’m Sue Shannon. With over 25 years of experience as an outpatient therapist, I’ve had the privilege of supporting both children and adults through a vast and diverse range of life’s challenges. My approach is rooted in the belief that therapy should be as practical as it is supportive.
I’m committed to creating a goal-focused environment where you aren't just heard and understood, but where we work together to build a clear, actionable plan for the future. Whether you're navigating a long-standing hurdle or a new life transition, I bring two decades of insight to help you find your footing and move forward.
I am a clinical social worker with a decade of experience supporting adolescents, adults, and older adults through life's most pressing challenges. Before transitioning into clinical practice, I worked within organizations helping employees navigate workplace stress and the broader life issues that often accompany it. My own life transition during that time deepened my appreciation for the courage it takes to seek support, and I now draw on those transferable skills alongside my academic and work experiences as a master's in social work and doctorate in organizational behavior professional. I bring a compassionate, integrative, and culturally responsive approach that meets each client where they are, helping you build meaningful coping skills, deepen self-understanding, and move toward sustainable change.

I am adept at facilitating difficult conversations. First and foremost in my life is my family. Through good and not so good, I have made decisions in my own life to bring myself peace in order to be the best version of myself for everyone who loves me. Genuine and honest are the two qualities I strive to show each and every person in my life. I will never tell you anything unless I believe it. I am not here to make you feel better but for you to feel better about yourself. I will listen closely and ask thoughtful questions to make sure I am understanding what you want me to know.
Hi! My name is Emily. I am glad to meet you and share a little about myself. I have been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker for over 10 years. In college, I focused on mental health and working with diverse populations. I currently reside in the Pittsburgh area, but I originated from North Carolina.
I consider myself dedicated, creative and empathetic and look forward to working with you.
I am a therapist dedicated to helping individuals and families create meaningful, lasting change—especially during some of the most challenging and complex moments in their lives. My work is rooted in the belief that behavior makes sense when we understand the experiences behind it, and that real progress comes from addressing both the “why” and the “how” of change.
I specialize in working with adolescents, young adults, and families who are navigating trauma, behavioral concerns, and system involvement. Many of the clients I serve have experienced disruptions in attachment, high-stress environments, or significant life events that continue to impact their relationships, emotional well-being, and decision-making.
My approach is structured, active, and grounded in evidence-based practices, including attachment-based therapy, trauma-informed care, EMDR, and DBT. I focus on helping clients build insight into their patterns while also developing practical skills they can use in everyday life. I believe therapy should not only be a place to process experiences, but also a space to build tools, accountability, and confidence.
I work to create a therapeutic environment that is consistent, supportive, and honest. I balance compassion with clear expectations, helping clients feel understood while also challenging them to grow. Whether I am working with an individual or an entire family system, my goal is to strengthen relationships, improve emotional regulation, and support long-term stability.
At Velocity Counseling, the focus is on forward movement—helping clients move beyond survival mode and toward a more stable, connected, and purposeful life.

Hello! My name is Catherine. I am a mom of 3 and I am a licensed clinical social worker. I have worked with children and adolescents for over 10 years and in working with them, i have worked with their families as well. I was previously a clinical supervisor, and I decided it was time to do what I do best, and that is help others through trauma informed care and working on self-worth and rebuilding relationships and attachments. Let's deep dive into your childhood to determine where those negative thoughts started, prove those beliefs are wrong and rebuild your new thought process while learning new coping skills. Let's focus on your strengths, not your weaknesses. Let's figure out how to get where you want to be i life, together.
My therapy and coaching are grounded in developing listening skills, improving emotional intelligence, working with family systems to improve effectiveness, and enhancing communication at all levels of the system. My background in clinical Social Work allows me to work with clients holistically, assisting these systems in finding new ways to interact and achieving their stated goals. In the therapy space, I have helped my clients learn new methods of communication and healing. He has helps his clients expand the ways in which they communicate their needs, thoughts, and feelings to those around them.
I strongly believes that every individual has an innate wisdom that can be tapped through the coaching process. Building a strong foundation of trust and respect, I use empathy which helps my clients challenge themselves in ways which result in personal growth/development and personal fulfillment. I challenge my clients to look at themselves and those unconscious aspects of self in order to enhance learning and growth.
I have 32 years of experience providing counseling. I use cognitive behavioral therapy, stressing that what we think determines what we feel and what we do. For many reasons, people learn unrealistic or destructive thoughts that cause them problems in their lives. Therapy works towards more realistic thinking, and avoiding old and destructive thinking. As I like to say, "therapy is a conversation with a destination," and realistic thinking is that destination.
While I am a Christian, I am not trained as a Christian Counselor. I am a "Counselor who is a Christian." My training is secular, and I regularly see people or all faiths, or none at all. I do not offer court ordered services, nor do I do assessments for custody, or any other legal purpose. Unfortunately, I cannot accept Medicare, or Medicare based plans.
The world is changing, and more and more people are reaching out. I am seeing more men that have been in abusive relationships. There are also more people dealing with loss. Coming to my office is not like going to a big mental health clinic where you just another number on a spreadsheet. In my care, you are a person, and you'll be treated like one.

The choice is yours!
