Welcome! I'm Damaris, a bilingual (English/Spanish) Licensed Professional Counselor. I enjoy helping older teens and adults navigate difficult seasons of life while discovering their strengths and creating positive change. I have a particular passion for supporting individuals recovering from trauma and helping them reconnect with a sense of safety, empowerment, and hope. I believe therapy works best when you feel comfortable being yourself, so I strive to create a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you can talk openly about what's on your mind. Together, we'll explore challenges, celebrate progress, and work toward the life you want to build.
Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another. We'll explore the goals and outcomes you'd like to achieve, your strengths, and what's most important to you. It's also your chance to ask questions, learn about my approach, and decide whether we're a good fit. My goal is to create a warm, supportive space where you feel heard, understood, and comfortable being yourself. As someone who finds healing in nature, I enjoy incorporating nature-inspired perspectives when they align with your interests and goals.
I bring empathy, authenticity, and a deep respect for each person's unique journey. My experiences in behavioral health, healthcare, education, and community settings, along with the lessons I've learned through my own life experiences, help me connect with clients in a meaningful and supportive way. I believe people are more resilient than they often realize, and I enjoy helping clients recognize their strengths, develop practical coping tools, and create lasting, meaningful change.
I enjoy working with older adolescents (16+) and adults who may be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply ready for change. I support clients navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, grief, mood disorders, trauma, stress, relationship concerns, and life transitions. I believe each person brings unique strengths and resilience, and together we'll build on those strengths while developing practical tools to help you move forward with greater confidence, balance, and hope.

I believe that every person is unique, so I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to therapy. I draw from a variety of evidence-based approaches and tailor each session to your individual needs, strengths, and goals, creating a personalized path toward healing and growth.
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients understand patterns that may be contributing to stress, anxiety, depression, or feeling stuck. Together, we build on strengths, develop practical coping skills, and create meaningful changes that support emotional well-being and personal growth.
Grief looks different for everyone, and there is no right or wrong way to grieve. I provide a compassionate, supportive space where clients can process their loss at their own pace, honor their experiences, and find healthy ways to cope while moving forward with hope and healing.
I believe everyone deserves to feel heard, respected, and supported. I create a warm, inclusive space where clients from all backgrounds can be themselves without fear of judgment. Together, we honor your unique experiences, build on your strengths, and work toward the goals that matter most to you.
I use Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) to help clients build on their strengths and focus on what is possible rather than what is wrong. Together, we identify what's already working, set meaningful goals, and take small, practical steps that lead to lasting positive change.
