Vincent Lamont is an amazing therapist who challenges us to think about problem-solving comprehensively. He's incredibly warm, provides relatable life examples for our issues with practical solutions, and follows up on past concerns to track progress. His caring approach and genuine support have transformed my healing journey. Highly recommended.

My first session was very relaxed and non-judgmental. I never felt like I had to steer or control the conversation, he was always moving things along. I also liked how he got more into the details and psychology/science of anxiety. It's important to know the 'why' about things to fully understand and be better at them. And he also left me with 'homework' (in a good way!) on the first session to try and help myself if I find myself in an anxious situation again. I think it's super important to have a task or to-do list after a therapy session to progress your mental wellness, instead of just talking about your problems, ending the session, and then sort of just forgetting about it until the next session.
In CBT, the main aim is making changes to solve your problems. In a typical CBT session with me, you'll talk about situations you find difficult, and discuss how they make you think, feel and act. You'll work with me as your therapist to work out different ways of approaching these situations.
Mindfulness in counseling involves being present, aware & accepting of thoughts & feelings without judgment. Integrating mindfulness practices like meditation & breathing exercises can enhance therapeutic outcomes by reducing stress & improving emotional regulation. Regular mindfulness practice in therapy fosters self-awareness & promotes greater wellbeing.
