Hi, I'm Zora, a trauma-informed, person-centered therapist who believes real clinical work and genuine warmth can coexist. I follow your lead, while adjusting my approach based on what actually helps you and I make sure you always feel in control of the pace, especially when things get hard. However, I won't just sit back and nod, I'll gently challenge you and help you unpack the difficult things, all within a space that feels safe enough to actually do that work. I take clinical, evidence-based practice seriously and everything I do is grounded in solid training paired with real empathy. I also believe in the power of laughter, so don't be surprised if humor finds its way into even the harder conversations. My practice is a space for people ready to do honest work on anxiety, trauma, relationships, or whatever else life is throwing at them.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During our first session, there will be discussion around confidentiality, therapeutic expectations, psycho-education and explanation of paperwork/assessments. I'll ask a bit about your history, your support system, what's worked or hasn't worked in the past, including other therapy, if you've done it. I'll be upfront about how I work, so you can tell pretty quickly whether my style is a fit for you. Furthermore, I'll ask you general questions around what is bringing you to therapy and what you're hoping to work on.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I'd say my biggest strength is that I don't come into a room with a script. I'm trained in trauma-informed care, so I know how to move at the pace of someone's nervous system rather than the pace of my treatment plan. I'm flexible enough to shift approaches mid-session if what I'm doing isn't landing and I'm open to feedback from my clients. I'm deeply person-centered, which basically means I trust that you're the expert on your own life and I'm just the person who is here to help you make sense of it.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal client is someone dealing with anxiety, trauma, depression, anger, communication problems, relationship struggles, or a big life transition and needs assistance with navigating and unpacking these things. My ideal client is someone who is open to learning, open-minded and willing to give self exploration a chance. My ideal client is also someone looking for real, lasting change and development.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use CBT to help clients identify thoughts and thinking patterns that are not helpful. I use CBT to help clients catch and challenge the automatic thoughts that fuel anxiety, shame, and avoidance, while giving them real tools to shift those thoughts.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I use Mindfulness-Based Therapy to get client's out of their head and into the present moment. I use Mindfulness-Based Therapy to help clients with not immediately believing or reacting to harmful, automatic thoughts. This type of therapy is very helpful for clients with anxiety and trauma stored in the body.

Culturally Sensitive Therapy

I use Culturally Sensitive Therapy when helping clients recognize that their identity, background, and lived experience shape how they experience distress, express it, and what healing could look like for them.

Humanistic

I use Humanistic therapy to help the client view themselves as a whole person and for them to see that they have what it takes to grow and heal.
