I’m a warm, authentic, and down to earth therapist who is passionate about helping people better understand themselves and navigate life’s challenges with support and intention. I strive to create a space where clients feel safe, comfortable, and not judged so they can openly talk about what’s really on their mind. I’m known for being supportive while also gently challenging unhelpful patterns and encouraging growth in a way that feels realistic and meaningful. I enjoy bringing practical tools, reflection, and real life application into sessions so the work feels helpful beyond therapy too.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, you can expect a warm and welcoming space where we’ll get to know each other and start building comfort together. I’ll ask questions to better understand your background, what’s been weighing on you, and what you hope to gain from therapy. I like to joke that I may get a little “in your business” in a respectful way because I want to fully understand your experiences and how to best support you. There’s no pressure to have everything figured out during the first session. My goal is simply to create a space where you feel heard, understood, and supported as we begin identifying what healing and growth could look like for you.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My greatest strengths are creating a space where clients feel comfortable being themselves while also feeling supported, challenged, and understood. Clients often describe me as warm, genuine, and easy to talk to, which helps build trust and connection throughout the therapy process. I believe therapy should feel human, not overly clinical, so I naturally bring authenticity, humor, honesty, and compassion into the work when appropriate. I also tend to be very observant and intentional in sessions. I use active listening, curiosity, and pattern recognition to help clients notice connections, behaviors, emotions, and underlying themes they may not have fully recognized before. I’m not afraid to gently challenge unhelpful patterns or perspectives with care and intention so clients can continue growing and moving toward the life they want for themselves. My goal is to help clients feel both safe and empowered throughout the process.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

Clients who are navigating anxiety, life challenges, relationship stress, or simply feeling overwhelmed and trying to figure things out are often a good fit for my approach. This includes those who may be dealing with current or past grief, struggling to move forward, or feeling stuck in patterns that no longer serve them. Many clients come to therapy wanting to better understand their emotions, improve communication, set healthier boundaries, and gain more control over how they respond to stress. Some are also looking to challenge unhelpful thoughts, work through core beliefs, and build confidence in themselves and their decisions. I create a warm and supportive space where clients can show up as they are without pressure or judgment. Even if you are not fully sure where to start, we can figure it out together. I value honesty, collaboration, and helping clients feel comfortable enough to open up at their own pace. If you are open to learning, growing, and doing the work in a way that feels realistic and supportive, this approach may be a good fit for you.

My treatment methods

Person-centered (Rogerian)

My approach to therapy is rooted in compassion, authenticity, and creating a space where clients feel heard without judgment. Being from the South, warmth and hospitality naturally show up in the way I connect with people. I value building strong therapeutic relationships and believe clients grow best when they feel emotionally safe, supported, and understood. While I lead with a person-centered approach, I also integrate practical tools and interventions based on each client’s individual needs.

Trauma Informed Care

I recognize how past experiences and unresolved stress can impact emotions, relationships, behaviors, and the way people view themselves. I strive to create a safe and supportive environment where clients can process difficult experiences at their own pace without pressure or shame. I also incorporate grounding skills, emotional regulation strategies, psychoeducation, and practical coping tools to help clients feel more stable and connected to themselves.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients better understand the relationship between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors and how they all influence one another. The way someone thinks about a situation can impact how they feel emotionally, which can then influence how they respond or show up in everyday life. Together, we identify unhelpful patterns, beliefs, and emotionally driven responses that may be contributing to stress, anxiety, relationship challenges, low self esteem, or feeling stuck. My approach is flexible and realistic, focusing on building self awareness, healthier coping skills, and practical tools that clients can apply outside of therapy in everyday life.

Grief Therapy

I provide support for clients navigating grief related to loss, life transitions, relationships, and major changes in life. I believe grief can show up in many different ways, and there is no “right” way to process it. My goal is to provide a supportive space where clients can explore emotions honestly, make sense of their experiences, and move through the healing process at a pace that feels manageable for them.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I incorporate DBT-informed skills into therapy to help clients better manage overwhelming emotions, improve distress tolerance, and strengthen emotional regulation. I often use techniques focused on mindfulness, self awareness, and healthy coping strategies to help clients respond to emotions more intentionally rather than reacting impulsively. While I am not formally DBT certified, I integrate practical DBT-based tools that can support emotional balance and interpersonal growth.
