Hi, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I graduated from Duquesne University and then Marywood University. As a counselor/therapist I work with adults as they navigate the anxieties of life and relationships. I help people identify and assess the thinking/thoughts that bother them and interrupt their relationships with their family or at work. I have studied and used different therapeutic approaches to support persons at different stages of growth. I am not accepting couples at this time.
Hello! My name is Gena and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of Pennsylvania. I received my master’s degree in Marriage and Family therapy from Northcentral University specializing in general family therapy. I believe that we all have unique strengths that can aid in healing. Sometimes these strengths are hidden, undiscovered, or simply not utilized. My goal is to help you find your strength and power again to navigate through the difficulties that life can bring.
Do you feel overwhelmed these days? Are you constantly trying to strike a balance between the demands of work and parenting or co-parenting, while also managing your health, housework, and perhaps other demands? In your family, does the caretaking always fall to you? Are you experiencing depression and anxiety in reaction to either a past trauma and/or burnout from stress? I work with women who are experiencing what I like to call "multiple-role fatigue". I have experience in treating depression, anxiety, and trauma-related stress disorders common to women who face an ever-mounting load of responsibilities in a complex society, where being a mother or a caretaker often comes with diverse challenges and responsibilities. I also like to work with clients on their recovery from trauma. With this in mind, I incorporate various treatment modalities, where healing and recovery can take place through a combination of compassionate conversation, active listening, homework assignments journaling, mindfulness, self-reflection, cognitive behavior therapy, grief counseling, boundary setting and trauma-informed care. I also offer a faith-based support, where clients seeking a Christian approach are welcome.
I like to form a supportive alliance with caregivers to help them navigate the demands of parenting a child or children with higher needs. I focus on parental needs, and I work with clients using evidence-based techniques to empower them to achieve balance and experience lasting well-being. For parents, I'm a big advocate of self-care, and I help my clients learn to nurture themselves in a sustainable way to avoid burnout. I also believe that parents need to feel seen and heard, and the stress of parenting cannot be overemphasized. Forming a partnership with parents, giving them a forum in which they feel consistently supported in a compassionate and non-judgmental way, therefore, is one of my top priorities as a therapist.

Hi!
Since 1991, I have worked with individuals across outpatient and inpatient settings, in homes and schools, and now through telehealth. I have assisted people with a variety of challenges--whether related to depression, anxiety and stress, panic, obsessions and compulsions, trauma. behavioral control, self-esteem, substance use, life transition, and other issues.
I believe in "possibilities thinking", goal setting, active strategizing, and frequent accounting of progress. As a long-term therapist, therapist and program supervisor, and college psychology professor, I am well acquainted with many therapeutic approaches; however, I am somewhat partial to cognitive-behavioral therapy, relaxation and mindfulness, and solution-focused treatment. I am also formally EMDR-trained, which can be a very helpful tool for trauma.
There are many therapy options and providers--whomever you select, I wish you the best. Remember--it’s your life, your journey … make the most of it!
Sincerely,
Rick

Hello, my name is Laura. I’m a person-centered, trauma-informed therapist who values authenticity, curiosity, and the power of feeling truly seen. I take a holistic approach to therapy, recognizing the deep connection between mind, body, and spirit. My goal is to create a safe and supportive space where you can unpack life’s challenges, better understand yourself, and reconnect with the parts of you that deserve care, attention, and healing.
I am a clinical social worker with a decade of experience supporting adolescents, adults, and older adults through life's most pressing challenges. Before transitioning into clinical practice, I worked within organizations helping employees navigate workplace stress and the broader life issues that often accompany it. My own life transition during that time deepened my appreciation for the courage it takes to seek support, and I now draw on those transferable skills alongside my academic and work experiences as a master's in social work and doctorate in organizational behavior professional. I bring a compassionate, integrative, and culturally responsive approach that meets each client where they are, helping you build meaningful coping skills, deepen self-understanding, and move toward sustainable change.
My name is Ronide Louis, and I am the founder and clinician behind Phoenix Rise Counseling Services. Phoenix Rise offers counseling in a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel seen, heard, and empowered. Life transitions, relationships in flux, maybe you haven't felt like yourself recently. Navigating hard emotions that keep you up a night, or preoccupy thinking, might be holding you back from enjoying activities and relationships you once did. Reasons for seeking therapy are unique and individual to you. You are deserving of a therapist who will build a space for you to be vulnerable with your story and emotions. Together, we can build a path forward through empathetic processing, acceptance, skill building, and goal planning.
Therapy is like a compass, it doesn't provide all the answers, but it provides direction. Focusing on your strengths, presenting problem, and future goals, our time together will be spent targeting false thoughts, realizing potential, and building trust in yourself.
I am a psychotherapist who works with a diverse population of people. My goal is to collaborate with individuals to assist them in achieving their therapy goal(S). My treatment modalities are cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, mindfulness-based therapy, and Ericksonian hypnotherapy approaches. Although I used these modalities, I do not use a one size fits all approach. I am a think-out-of-the-box clinician that will often challenge clients to try approaches that may be out of their comfort zone. Some examples of my experience include working with individual clients on developing skills in coping with mental health conditions/diagnosis, life stress, finding balance, and improving self-esteem. Although I use these approaches, my clients tell me it feels like we are having a conversation as opposed to feeling like they are in a therapy session. I have a specialization in working with Veterans, LGBTQI, men, and people of color populations. However, I work with all people who are seeking mental health services. I am licensed in DC (LICSW), VA (LCSW), MD (LCSW-C), and PA (LCSW). I have BS in Human Ecology, BA in Humanities from The Ohio State University, MSW from San Jose State University and Post Masters fellowship in mental health from Stanford University.

I specialize in treating trauma, grief, anxiety, depression, and relationship issues, drawing from modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), interpersonal therapy, and couples counseling.
Having worked closely with veterans and first responders throughout my career, I understand the unique challenges they face—including PTSD, moral injury, burnout, and the impact of service on personal relationships. Hi, I'm a therapist with over thirty years of experience working with individuals, couples, and families and historically getting positive results. I tend to work with families with special members such as teens and seniors. I have always worked with teens as it seemed to be a population others found difficult, but I liked the challenge. Now that I am a senior, I better understand the needs of our demographic. I tend to utilize a Family Systems approach which sees the individual in a family context as the majority has grown up in some form of family, whether related by blood or not. I've also taught Marriage and Family Therapy through what is now Drexel University's Family Therapy Program and have offered professional Supervision as a Clinical Member and Approved Supervisor of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy. By working with the client in a collaborative, goal setting manner, faster more positive results seem to be achieved.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with over ten years of experience supporting children, adolescents, and adults through life’s challenges. My path to becoming a therapist began with my own experiences in counseling, where I discovered the power of having a safe, nonjudgmental space to heal and grow. That experience shaped my belief that therapy is not just about addressing problems, but about uncovering strengths, building resilience, and learning how to live with greater peace and purpose.
I specialize in working with individuals managing anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, and relationship struggles. My therapeutic style is collaborative, compassionate, and practical. I incorporate evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I also integrate mindfulness techniques to help clients slow down, become more aware of their emotions, and respond in healthier ways.
My role is not to “fix” you, but to walk alongside you in your journey, offering tools, insight, and encouragement. Clients who work with me often notice they gain greater clarity, stronger coping strategies, and more confidence in navigating relationships, boundaries, and personal goals. My ultimate aim is to create a safe space where you feel truly heard, validated, and empowered to make lasting changes in your life.
I currently offer sessions during weekday daytime hours, which works well for clients with flexible schedules or those seeking therapy during standard business hours.
Hello, and welcome — I’m so glad you’ve landed on my profile! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Behavior Specialist in Pennsylvania. Most of my career has been in Intensive Behavioral Health Services (formerly BHRS), where I served as a therapeutic staff support (TSS), mobile therapist, and behavioral specialist. I worked primarily with children ages 2–16, much of that time in elementary school settings. My work focused on supporting children on the autism spectrum, as well as those with ADHD and mood disorders, while collaborating closely with parents and teachers.
I also have experience as an in‑house school therapist, again working with elementary‑aged students and their parents. Although my background is rooted in child and family work, I have also supported adults through IBHS and outpatient settings. Throughout my career, I’ve spent meaningful time counseling families and partnering with educators, giving me a well‑rounded understanding of the challenges parents and teachers face.
