New to Grow
I’m a licensed clinical social worker who believes therapy should feel like a place where you can finally exhale. My approach is warm, honest, and person-centered, with a focus on helping clients better understand themselves, navigate difficult seasons, and build practical tools for real life. I work with adolescents and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, and the everyday overwhelm that can come with being human.
Your first session is about getting to know you—not judging you or expecting you to have everything figured out. We’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, what has been going on, and what you hope might be different with support. I’ll explain what you can expect from therapy and answer any questions you have. Most importantly, I want you to leave feeling heard, comfortable, and with a better sense of where we can go from here.
I bring warmth, authenticity, and a very real-world approach to therapy. I don’t believe you need to have everything figured out before you walk through the door. I work collaboratively with clients to understand what is actually getting in their way and find tools that fit their life—not just a textbook. I’m trauma-informed and person-centered, and I value humor, honesty, and creating a space where clients can be completely themselves without fear of judgment.
My ideal client is someone who is ready for support but may not necessarily know exactly what they need yet. I enjoy working with people who are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, life transitions, relationship challenges, or feeling overwhelmed by everything on their plate. You don’t have to come to therapy with a perfectly defined goal—I’m happy to help you figure that out together. I especially enjoy working with clients who want to better understand themselves, feel more in control of their emotions, and develop practical tools they can actually use in everyday life.
I use a person-centered, humanistic approach by meeting each client where they are and creating a space where they feel heard, respected, and accepted without judgment. I believe clients are the experts on their own experiences, so our work is collaborative rather than me simply telling you what to do. I focus on building a genuine therapeutic relationship, helping clients better understand themselves, recognize their strengths, and feel empowered to make meaningful changes in their lives.
I use Internal Family Systems (IFS) to help clients explore the different “parts” of themselves that may show up in response to stress, fear, past experiences, or difficult emotions. Rather than viewing these parts as problems, we work to understand what they are trying to protect or communicate. This can help clients develop greater self-compassion, understand their patterns, and respond to themselves with more curiosity rather than judgment.
I use ACT to help clients build a healthier relationship with difficult thoughts and emotions rather than feeling like they have to eliminate or control them. We work on identifying what matters most to the client, making room for uncomfortable experiences, and taking meaningful action that aligns with their values. The goal is not to wait until life feels perfect, but to help clients move toward the life they want even when things feel difficult.
I use CBT to help clients recognize the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Together, we identify patterns that may be contributing to anxiety, depression, stress, or feeling stuck and work toward more balanced and helpful ways of thinking and responding. I focus on making CBT practical and relevant to everyday life, giving clients tools they can use between sessions rather than keeping the work confined to the therapy room.
I use a trauma-informed approach by recognizing how past experiences can shape the way we think, feel, behave, and relate to others. Safety, trust, choice, and collaboration are important parts of my work. I want clients to feel in control of their own therapy and never pressured to share or process something before they are ready. We focus on understanding what has happened without allowing the past to define who they are or where they are going.
