Welcome~ I'm Genevieve. First of all, I commend you for taking the first step in taking care of your mental health. Especially if this is your first time exploring therapy, it might feel confusing, overwhelming, or nerve-racking. However, once you find the right fit, I hope you feel empowered in the steps you've taken to better take care of yourself. My goal is to provide a safe, judgement-free space for you to feel heard and understood as you explore challenges related to racial identity, particularly if you identify as Asian, Asian-American, or as a Person/Woman of Color. Oftentimes, our lived experiences as POC (People of Color) can include stress, anxiety, depression, family conflict and trauma. I focus on helping you get in touch with what's no longer serving you or keeping you stuck, and collaborate in figuring out how to live a life that feels fulfilling, hopeful and aligns with your values. Culturally-sensitive therapy can be a wonderful way to help you feel seen, foster your personal growth & development, and gain helpful tools to improve your quality of life. If this sounds like what you're looking for, it would be an honor to journey alongside you. I welcome you to schedule a complimentary 15-minute phone consultation to assess for fit if you'd feel more comfortable doing so before an initial appointment.

Sudden life changes such as the loss of a loved one, the death of a pet, or diagnosis with a chronic or debilitating disease, are hard to handle. Being a caregiver for a loved one who has a chronic or terminal illness can be a rewarding and fulfilling experience; but it also comes with stresses that can be hard for friends and family to understand. Being a person who needs help to manage day to day activities of living can also be difficult, even if the help is appreciated. Illness, loss of mobility, reduced independence, physical and emotional pain can change your relationship with others and with yourself. Even positive life transitions such as retirement, promotions, or reprioritizing your work/life balance to focus on what matters, can be stressful. Whatever changes you are going through can impact your ability to find meaning, a sense of purpose, or hope in your life. Whether you have always struggled with feelings of depression and anxiety, or they have come as a result of these changes in your life, I believe therapy can help. I have been a Licensed Professional Counselor since 2004, and am currently offering individual therapy via telehealth for clients in Pennsylvania. Before becoming a psychotherapist in Pennsylvania, I worked in developing and delivering community and mental health services in Arizona. Throughout my career I have worked closely with older adults, caregivers, members of the disability community, residents in long term care, and residents in transitional and emergency housing for older victims of elder abuse and intimate partner violence. I have lived experience with chronic illness, disability, and remote caregiving. I am a member of the LGBTQ+ community and a survivor of suicide. I bring all of this professional and personal experience to my practice.

I am devoted to enacting positive change by connecting with, supporting, and empowering individuals. Throughout my journey, I have been drawn to people, felt the impact of the human experience, and have learned many lessons along the way. I consider myself a student of life, constantly learning from experiences and people; as I continue to draw breath, I will continue to learn. Perhaps the most poignant lesson I have learned thus far, is each person has the inherent power to create and live the life of his/her choosing. Your perfect life can only be designed by you. There is nothing so great or powerful as the human spirit. The ability to heal, replenish, resist, and calibrate is indicative of an innate wisdom that propels an individual toward the ongoing and persistent pursuit of harmony. As humans, we are comprised of an intricate network of complex systems working individually and collectively to create, maintain, and restore balance whenever necessary. The self in all of its innate wisdom knows and therefore seeks whatever is necessary to achieve perfect alignment. It is my mission to assist you in promoting your personal wellness by inspiring wholeness. I strongly believe each person deserves to experience consistent and eternal joy while living a meaningful life with purpose. Life experiences, perceptions, and relationships often create obstacles and blockages disrupting that. I work with people to restore personal alignment empowering the individual to operate from a place of wholeness. I am honest and authentic. I am a critical thinker whose open-mindedness enables me to accept each person and recognize distinct value. I am a staunch believer, you are the expert of you. We partner in a collaborative approach, you as expert and me with expertise. I see individuals as people with identities, characteristics, challenges, and experiences. I use labels only to elicit awareness and understanding and not to identify or categorize. I am honored for the opportunity to meet and work with you.

Hello! I have always enjoyed helping others for as long as I can remember as early as age 9. I love to see their responses in the learning process. I have experienced trauma, witnessed violence, anxiety, have been in an unhealthy alcoholic relationship and have been a sensitive being my entire life not understanding why. My saving Grace has always been movement. I loved the way it made me feel-free and calm, and movement has always been part of my life even during 4 pregnancies and keeping up with my 4 children, and now my grandchildren. Over time, I was introduced to mindfulness, stress reduction and relaxation (which I didn’t realized how much I needed) and Yoga. This allowed me to calm my mind and focus. My career goal was Physical Education teaching and when I graduated (after have 4 children), teacher jobs were scarce. I was introduced to Behavioral Health and here I am now, 25 years later.

I strive to create a safe space where people can work on building upon identified strengths, challenge negative assumptions or beliefs, and develop a new mindset to confront daily life obstacles. It is my belief thoughts have a direct influence on how we perceive ourselves, how we interact with others, and how we function on a day-to-day basis. Sometimes we can feel helpless and bound to our thoughts; however, I believe that thoughts are like habits, and habits can be eventually modified to help us achieve our full potential.

I am the mother to 2 grown children and a grandmother. I was married for over 40 years prior to my husband passing, I now share my house with a Golden Retriever. I went back to school later in life, and like to encourage others to do the same if possible. My first experience in this field came when I got a job at a county mental health/developmental services program as a receptionist. I was motivated by all the great work that the caseworkers were doing to improve their clients lives. I went back to school to finish my Bachelors and finally received a Masters in Social work. I retired from the county program as a Casework Supervisor, I felt that my position was becoming more administrative, and I was missing the connections I had made with my clients. At that time I felt it was time to work on what my original goal was which was to become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I did work for 5 years with children with behavioral issues in school and in their homes. My previous position was in a small practice in rural PA, where I learned the importance of being eclectic in my treatment approach because every clent and their situation is different , and they deserve to have a treatment plan specifically targeted to their situation

As a former CPA who has found her true self as a therapist and coach, I understand the unsettling feelings that persist in alerting you that something in your life is off and needs attention. The uncomfortable feeling sent me on my own journey to explore the mind-body connection. In addition to traditional psychotherapy and coaching skills, I also trained as a yoga teacher and a Healing Touch Practitioner. As a result of my journey, I came to know how right it feels when you are living in alignment with your true self. Combining years of professional training, with my unique perspective from life lessons and teachings from my roles as a wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend, I work with my clients to guide them through the minefields of anxiety, self-doubt, fear and distorted perceptions as they navigate the transitions and challenges of life. I use a unique approach combining mindfulness, somatic techniques and motivational interviewing, existential, and cognitive-behavioral therapies, along with energy psychology to find the most effective and powerful results. Understanding the connection between mind, body and spirit is my passion and I bring my passion to my work with my clients. I believe that “Life is lived between the ears”, or in other words, that your mind eats what you feed it. Therefore, you need to choose its diet carefully. Together, our goal will be to create harmony between your current self-messaging and the life that you desire to lead. We will find and amplify the clarity, courage and passion needed to create a life in alignment with your authentic self. It would be my honor to be your guide on the journey within.

Hello. I look forward to working with you. My own background is one of growing up on farms, having little money and ambitious dreams. I did not know what it was but I knew I wanted to go to college and get out of the tobacco fields around me. My dreams came true. I ended up being a psychologist and a teacher, spending decades working in residential treatment then in schools, the last 13 years working with preschoolers and their families to prepare them to succeed in school. As a teacher, I taught many college and university courses as well as workshops, most recently to address grief and trauma. In the early 1990's, I felt led to live and work at or near the world center of Quakers called Pendle Hill in PA. There I studied and taught Arts and Spirituality while also serving as a Psychologist in nearby schools. I came to see the importance of Co-Creativity (creating together a piece of life we truly want to live for). My specialties in the Arts have been writing, visual arts and dancing/movement from a "no wrong way" perspective. I incorporate these into the therapy process as they become beneficial. For much of my life, I have also been engaged with my own therapeutic process. Having been the client for several years, gives me the perspective of what might be important to you as we work together, never assuming I know or forgetting to ask you. In our sessions, I want to hear about you, find our starting points and from there develop action plans each session to work on the goals needed to find the life you dream of and are willing to work toward.

I have worked with a range of populations, nearly all ages, and also have experience with addiction treatment and life-coaching. Some of my other specialties include short-term, solution-focused therapy; cognitive behavioral therapy techniques; psychodynamic approaches; and marital counseling. Some of the problems I am particularly keen on solving with my clients include issues with self-image and confidence; dating and relationships; boundary-setting and assertive communication; as well as general anxiety management; and learning to identify and productively resolve emotional unrest. I am also very experienced in cognitive restructuring, which is just a fancy way of saying helping to change the way a person thinks about the world and their place in it. I also enjoy aiding people in goal setting and identification, meaning-making, and navigating family conflicts. If you feel any of this could be helpful or useful to you, please do not hesitate to reach out! (Note: I do work with couples, but only on a cash-pay basis. Also, I only work with ages 18+)

As your therapist, my role is to offer encouragement, be your collaborator, and celebrate your progress. But lasting change doesn’t come without effort, so I’ll also teach you new perspectives, challenge you to consider other possibilities, and help identify patterns that might be hindering your growth.

Hello, my name is Jillian, a Licensed Counselor in Pennsylvania. I'm so grateful you found your way here. I sincerely honor the courage it takes to seek support, and meet each person where they are with dignity, compassion, and non-judgement. Seriously, it takes a lot of courage to take this step. I am passionate about working with women at different stages of life who identify as successful in many areas, yet feel insecure about how they 'measure up' against the societal expectations of "womanhood". Does this feel like you: you are independent, smart, successful, creative, loving, nurturing, and passionate about helping any community you're apart of; yet you still feel something is missing because you are not partnered, married, or have children? Do you struggle with the decision to be partnered, married, or to have children and find yourself alienated from friends, family, and specific communities because of this? Do you live within a family system or religious community that has rigid conceptualizations of what womanhood is and have been subjected to unsolicited advice and/or criticism about what a "real woman is". I offer a safe space where women who have these experiences and in response are struggling with insecurities, self esteem, body image, or depression and anxiety can explore the expansiveness of womanhood in all its manifestations and be empowered to make decisions that align with how they desire to embody their identity and life experiences.
