New to Grow
Darlene Aviles Perez is a licensed family therapist in Pennsylvania who helps parents, teens, families, couples, and individuals that are having difficulties within the most treasured relationships. If a client is feeling the sting of invalidation, criticism, or confusion, Darlene can help. Darlene invites clients to explore dynamics within his or her life in attempts to highlight supports and gain clarity. Her goal is that through the therapy process, clients can co-discover more healthy relational dynamics so clients need to talk with a professional less and can lean on natural supports more!
Sessions with Darlene are led by the comfort and the strength of the therapeutic relationship. The biggest predictor of success in therapy is most impacted by the client relationship with the therapist. If the client is not comfortable, Darlene will work with the client to get connected to another therapist. In the first few sessions you can expect high curiosity and validation around your presenting issues to make a holistic plan for how therapy can be helpful to you.
I am human as you share the highs and humor of life and any feelings of lows or discontent too. We may laugh or cry in session, and any emotion in between is embraced as well! I hope that during therapy you feel heard, understood, and not judged! As a practicing Christian, my perspective and approach is also impacted by my faith. I believe that God made humans to be interconnected, loved, and accepted by one another. I aim to help you find your way to developing stronger relationships with children, parents, partners, or friends.
If you consider yourself open minded and motivated to explore your patterns of interactions with self and others I would be honored to help you understand your own story further. You are not alone but sometimes even in a room of people we can feel lonely. Isolation is not God’s design for you life. Working with me includes session time reflecting on your relational, emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual needs. You are not alone! If you are looking for a non-judgemental, direct, high energy, sincere, playful, and real therapist who will be share truth with compassion, we may be a great fit.
