About me

Taking the first step toward therapy can be challenging, and I'm glad you're here. I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with a Master's degree in Counseling, and I work with children, adolescents, adults, and families facing a variety of life's challenges. Throughout my career, I've helped individuals navigate trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, substance use challenges, family conflict, relationship difficulties, and major life transitions. My experience includes supporting youth with emotional and behavioral challenges, individuals impacted by community and gun violence, adults living with serious mental illnesses, and people working toward recovery and personal growth. As someone who grew up in North Philadelphia, I understand the importance of resilience, community, and having a safe space where you can feel heard and supported. My goal is to create a welcoming, nonjudgmental environment where we can work together to build on your strengths, develop healthy coping skills, and create meaningful, lasting change.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, we'll take time to get acquainted. I'll ask what's bringing you in, what's felt hard lately, and what you're hoping for from this process. You set the pace. If you're not ready to cover everything right away, that's okay. By the end of the hour, you'll have a clearer sense of what our work together might look like, and I'll have a clearer sense of how I can help.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I bring a trauma-informed, strengths-based lens to every session, shaped by years of work with youth, families, and communities dealing with real-world challenges including violence, loss, and systems that weren't built to support them. Therapy, in my view, is collaborative: you know your life better than I do. My role is to help you make sense of it, find what's already working, and build practical strategies for what isn't. I tailor my approach to each person's needs and move at a pace that feels right for you.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal clients are adults and young adults navigating life transitions, overwhelming stress, anxiety, or feelings of being stuck in unhelpful patterns. They are often ready to understand the root causes of their burnout, work through past trauma, or navigate systemic and relational challenges. They value a collaborative, straightforward therapist who will give them a supportive space to process their thoughts while equipping them with practical, real-world tools to regain control over their lives

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use CBT to help you identify negative or automatic thought patterns that feed into stress, anxiety, or low mood. Together, we evaluate how these thoughts impact your emotions and behaviors and build practical skills to reshape unhelpful patterns into balanced, constructive ways of thinking.

Trauma Informed Care

I prioritize safety, empowerment, and trust at every stage of therapy. A trauma-informed approach means we move at your pace to process past experiences without overwhelming you, focusing on emotional regulation and practical coping tools that help you feel safe and grounded in the present.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I view you as the expert on your own life. My role is to provide a non-judgmental, collaborative space where you can speak openly, explore your values, and discover your own strengths to guide your personal growth.
