Hello, I'm so glad you are considering counseling; it is not a sign of weakness; rather it reflects strength. Therapy can help you cope with life's situations in a safe environment while strengthening your sense of purpose. I would like to share a little about my background and approach. I am a clinical social worker independently licensed in the state of Ohio since 2014. I have a background in community mental health, crisis intervention, vocational counseling/services, homeless outreach, caregiver support, and private practice. I am passionate about working with adults living with mental health related issues such as depression, anxiety, stress, and going through life challenges. My approach is person-centered and rooted in evidence-based practices where we will work collaboratively to meet your personal goals and needs.
I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker based in Ohio and have been in the field since 2013. I graduated from Miami University in 2013 with my bachelor's degree in psychology and worked as a case manager for a year, assisting adults with managing mental health symptoms. I also helped with medication management, and assisted with supporting them in daily living skills, before getting my master's degree in social work in 2016. Once I graduated with my Master's, I then worked at a community based correctional facility for 3 years as a mental health and addiction specialist. I completed diagnostic assessments and facilitated individual and group therapy sessions for mental health and addiction. From there, I began working at an inpatient behavioral health hospital and assisted patients there with acute mental health needs and helped to provide referrals for outpatient treatment. Since 2020, I have been working with clients doing individual therapy and have been growing my private practice. I find it rewarding to be able to work with clients long-term and get to know them as a person while meeting each individual where they are; what their struggles are, what their successes are, see progress they make in different areas of their lives, and develop a rapport that is respectful and supportive. I have been able to gain a great deal of experience over my 13 years with a very diverse background through promotion and advancement, in the mental health field, and those experiences help me to navigate my therapeutic approach to assist with being able to better serve clients while we are working together.
With over 21 years of experience in behavioral health, I’ve had the privilege of working with clients of all ages—from children to older adults—in settings such as private practice and inpatient care. I bring a calm, steady presence and strong listening skills to each session, helping clients uncover the root causes of their distress. My goal is to walk alongside you on your journey to healing, offering compassion, understanding, and practical tools that support your growth. Blessings
I am a compassionate and experienced Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC-S) with over 20 years of experience and dual credentials in mental health and substance abuse treatment in Ohio. I support adults navigating challenges like anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use, relationship struggles, grief, and low motivation—helping clients feel safer, more grounded, and capable of change. My approach is collaborative and practical, offering both emotional support and evidence-based strategies to empower clients as they work toward meaningful, lasting growth.
I was drawn to this work by my beloved family member, who lived her life with a mental illness. Watching her courage taught me early on that healing happens in relationships—when we feel seen, safe, and supported. Outside the office, you’ll find me experimenting in the kitchen, planning my next travel adventure, or getting some fresh air and exercise. These keep me grounded and curious—qualities I bring to our work.
“The greatest good you can do for another is not just share your riches but reveal to them their own.”

Hi! My name is Jana! Thank you for reading my profile :) I want you to know a little about me so you can decide if you'd like to schedule with me. I am licensed in Ohio and I have been a Therapist for over 10 years. I have been doing teletherapy for quite awhile now and I much prefer it to in-office settings. I have a lot of experience in several areas: domestic violence, narcissism, autism, intellectual disabilities, adhd, depression, pregnancy loss, anxiety, parenting issues, life changes, bullying, etc. I like a natural conversation style in sessions so it is as comfortable as possible! FYI: I'm not currently accepting couples and I don't write recommendation letters for ESA/service animals due to the potential liability.
Hi, I’m Sema—and I get it.
I know that when you’re going through a difficult time, it can feel like no one truly hears you. Sometimes, even well-meaning people try to “fix” things without fully understanding what you're going through. That’s why I aim to offer something different: a safe, judgment-free space where you feel genuinely heard.
My approach to therapy is rooted in compassion, connection, and collaboration. I believe in working alongside my clients to explore their thoughts and feelings, identify the core of their challenges, and build practical tools to manage and move through them. Together, we don’t just talk about the problem—we work toward healing, growth, and long-term resilience.
I earned my LMSW from Wayne State University in 2016 and have since supported individuals navigating a wide range of challenges including mental health concerns, grief and loss, substance use, complex family dynamics, and the emotional toll of physical health issues. I specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and integrative therapeutic techniques that help clients reframe negative thought patterns, develop coping strategies, and move toward becoming the best version of themselves.
You don't have to do this alone. I'm here to support you, listen to you and walk with you through whatever you're facing.
Are you feeling tired, overwhelmed, or stuck? Maybe you’ve been carrying too much for too long—showing up for others while quietly putting your own needs aside. Perhaps you find yourself saying yes when you really want to say no, or struggling to understand the love language of the people closest to you. Do you feel conflicted, pulled in many different directions, as though something inside you is being stretched too thin? Maybe part of you grieves what might have been, while another part worries about missing what is right here, today, in this present moment. Perhaps you’re navigating difficult relationships, caregiving responsibilities, or a season of life that feels heavier than you expected.
You don’t have to do it alone!
I offer a gentle, supportive space where you can slow down, breathe, and simply be yourself. Together, we’ll explore what’s been weighing on you and reconnect with your strengths.
With over 25 years of experience, I have worked with children, adolescents, and adults facing challenges such as trauma, emotional dysregulation, impulse control difficulties, chronic stress, self-harming behaviors, and adoption-related concerns. Today, my focus is helping adults build resilience, develop healthier coping strategies, and experience meaningful growth.
I earned my Ph.D. in Social Welfare from Case Western Reserve University (CWRU) and am a Licensed Independent Social Worker with Supervisory designation in Ohio. As a full-time lecturer at Case Western Reserve University, I remain closely connected to the latest research and evidence-based practices.
I provide individual therapy, and I enjoy working with adults who feel ready to better understand themselves, shift old patterns, and move toward greater balance.
If this resonates with you, I invite you to reach out—I would be honored to support you on your journey.
I have been licensed as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor since 2004, and have held a supervision designation since 2015. I have also held a Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor with a supervision/training designation license since 2018. I have maintained a private counseling practice in Chillicothe since 2000, and I continue to work with individuals and families in that capacity. I have dedicated my career to helping others and to working with the community to ensure the well-being of families and children.
My most common theoretical approaches are Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Christian Therapy, but I am proud to be able to use a multitude of approaches, dependent on what works best for the client(s) involved.
I value the individual and the couple regardless of age or philosophical approach to their life or relationship. I see my goal of treatment as improving the individual or couple to be the best they want to be.
My communication tone or approach tends to be direct but laid back. We are in session to work together, not have me tell you what to do or where you need to go.
During my final year of my ungraduate education, I participated in an intership with the Western District of Pennsylvania United States Probation & Pretrial Services. I earned both my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Youngstown State University and began my career working in foster care as a case manager, where I developed a strong foundation in advocacy, family systems, and trauma-informed care. I later expanded my clinical work as a mental health therapist in a school setting and within a collaborative program serving children involved in foster care, supporting clients through complex emotional and environmental challenges.
I am trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and the Positive Parenting Program (Triple P). My clinical experience includes counseling children, adolescents, adults, and couples experiencing trauma, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, ADHD, low self-esteem, anger management concerns, and relationship challenges.
In my practice, I utilize trauma-informed CBT, solution-focused therapy, strengths-based approaches, and motivational interviewing to support meaningful and lasting change. I believe healing occurs in a safe, supportive, and collaborative environment, where clients feel empowered, respected, and actively involved in their mental health journey.
I work with adults age 20 and over, and people often describe me as accepting, empathetic, and real — with a sense of humor that helps therapy feel approachable and genuine. My goal is to create a space where you feel both supported and challenged as you work toward your goals.
My approach blends humor, honesty, and evidence-based strategies to identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns (like cognitive distortions) and promote self-acceptance. Whether you’re hoping to manage stress, improve relationships, or reconnect with your sense of worth, I offer a safe, affirming space to do meaningful work — and maybe even share a laugh along the way.
You don’t have to have it all figured out to start therapy. If something here resonates with you, send me a message — I’d be happy to talk about how we can work together.

Take the first step towards empowerment, understanding, and peace of mind by scheduling a consultation to connect and see if I am a good fit for you. I lead with a compassionate, trauma-informed, strength-based, and person-centered approach.
Outside the therapy space, I enjoy arts and crafts, aromatherapy (especially a great-smelling candle!), and laughing with loved ones.

Hi, I’m Marie — a therapist who believes that change is always possible, no matter where you are in life. My goal is to help you feel better emotionally, think more clearly, and move toward a future that feels fulfilling and peaceful.
In our sessions, we’ll work together to understand what’s been holding you back and find practical ways to move forward. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you notice how your thoughts affect your emotions and actions—and teach you tools to shift negative thinking. I also use a solution-focused approach, which means we’ll focus on your strengths, celebrate what’s working, and create small, realistic steps that bring real progress.
I often work with adults who are struggling with depression, anxiety, or major life changes—like adjusting after a loss, a new diagnosis, or changes that come with getting older. My approach is supportive and empowering. I want you to feel heard, encouraged, and equipped with the tools to handle life’s challenges with more confidence and hope.
My name is Jeffrey, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Michigan, and a Licensed Social Worker and Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in Ohio. I have also been an ordained Lutheran pastor since 1989. My professional career began as an Associate Pastor in a Lutheran church in northwest Ohio, where I focused on youth ministry, Christian Education, and pastoral counseling. I entered Social Work in 1995 when I began work as a Family Worker in a residential facility for hard to place juvenile offenders, and then worked in a few outpatient counseling agencies providing mental health and substance use disorder services. I have experience working with people of all ages on general mental health issues, such as managing depression and anxiety, and have specialized in the areas of PTSD recovery and domestic violence and sexual abuse victims and offenders. Throughout my counseling career, I have maintained activity in ministry. I was trained in Clinical Pastoral Counseling and also have had training as a Spiritual Director.
My counseling approach is generally non-directive, using a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing in a Solution Focused, Client Centered frame work. I can incorporate spirituality as much or as little as the client desires, from not referencing spirituality at all to fully engaging the spiritual dimension of life. As a caring, empathetic listener, people find it easy to talk with me and be open about what needs attention in their lives.
I look forward to working with you!
Are you tired of being judged for not doing things the “normal” way? Has the world attempted to dim your light? Have you listened to lies of others and yourself that has led you down a path of shame and guilt? If you are looking for a space that is fun, nonjudgmental, the ability to be yourself then come see me as I take pride in being apart of others’ journey. I wont lie and say that change is easy, change is messy, but I am willing to be messy with you.
