New to Grow
I come from a varied background working my way from bookseller, to overseas as an English as a Second Language teacher, to my current position as a counselor. I strive to bring all of my various experiences into my counseling philosophy to enrich our sessions past just talk therapy. In addition, I focus somatic therapy-exploring both the mind and the body as they are parts of our whole.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
Our first session will focus on assessing your strengths, needs, and goals for counseling. We will work on building rapport and building our therapeutic relationship. We will collaborate on finding the interventions that are realistic and that will work for you.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
My strengths lie in my flexibility to explore what will work best for each individual client, my non-judgmental and caring approach, and my varied and experienced background that enhances my therapeutic approach past merely talk therapy.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
If you are looking for a holistic experience, exploring ways to improve both your mind and your body, if you are looking to explore your life through existential therapy; if you are looking to process trauma through the use of EMDR therapy, then I look forward to starting your journey with you!
Somatic
Somatic therapy focuses on a holistic approach exploring the effects of the mind on the body and vice versa.
EMDR
EMDR therapy will assist in processing past, present, and future trauma, and will help bring you from living in the past to living in the present.
Existential
Existential therapy will find us exploring difficult topics of life such as how we find meaning in life and how we can move forward when facing life's struggles and challenges.
