Good morning! I am a therapist with over 10 years of experience in working with people struggling with anxiety, depression, substance use, relationship struggles, and motivation for change. We all have challenges and we all have strengths. Change is not a matter of doing the impossible, but rather finding new ways to leverage your strengths to meet your goals. There is something you can do today to help you achieve your dreams!
In our first session, we will be establishing our working relationship. I will discuss your expectations for therapy and what goals you would like to accomplish. I will introduce you to the type of work that we will be doing together, and exploring to make sure that we are the best fit to be working together. No experience is needed on your part, and I will be happy to guide us both through the process!
I provide a blend of therapeutic intervention designed to explore both how your family systems, previous trauma, and other developmental struggles inform your current problems. With this, I combine a practical and solution focused approach to finding a new way to move forward!
The only requirement to be successful in therapy is the desire to change. Change is difficult but possible and together we can find the best path for the changes you seek in your life!
I operate from a humanistic and person centered perspective, utilizing CBT and MI techniques to explore how our current struggles have their roots in skills that were once adaptive and useful. We will explore how these target behaviors began, the ways that they currently impact your day to day life (both positively and negatively), and how we can develop new approaches that highlight these positives while reducing the negative impacts.
