My past career includes: clinical professor of social work, college campus therapist, mindfulness based stress reduction therapist at Duke Center for Living, integrative health center therapist helping support those with chronic stress, pain, and health issues, and years in private practice. Together, we create an environment for deepening your self-understanding, empowerment, and growth.

Whether it is anxiety, depression, grief/loss, burnout, relationships, family conflict, parenting issues, or managing emotions, you are desiring something different, and better. Because life is a journey and not a destination, how YOU define your past, identify YOUR present, and see YOUR future is important. Life will not stop happening in the journey; however, you get to decide and define what wellness is for you.

Hello, I'm Amanda. For over 20 years I've walked alongside people through every kind of mental health journey—from crisis moments in psychiatric hospitals to steady, hopeful growth in outpatient settings.
My favorite thing is helping adults rediscover their strength, heal old wounds, and build lives that feel lighter and more joyful. I bring a calm, creative, down-to-earth energy to every conversation.
I'm also a mom, grandma, and wife—balancing real life just like you do. Those experiences help me truly connect with people from every background and walk of life.
I help high-functioning adults who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or constantly “on.” On the outside, things may look fine—career, responsibilities, relationships—but internally, you’re dealing with stress, anxiety, burnout, or self-doubt that won’t turn off.
My clinical background includes training in fast-paced, high-expectation environments where effective, evidence-based care was essential. I use approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), EMDR, motivational interviewing, and mindfulness-based strategies to help you understand patterns, build practical skills, and create meaningful change.
I began my clinical work as a Behavioral Health Officer in the U.S. Army, where I worked in high-stress operational settings. While that experience gave me a strong understanding of pressure, burnout, and performance demands, my work today is focused on helping adults in all walks of life navigate similar challenges.
My approach is collaborative, practical, and grounded—I aim to create a space where you can be yourself while doing real, meaningful work.
I am dedicated to helping people heal holistically from past traumas, anxiety, depression, anger or relationship challenges. I use a very effective treatment modality called Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to help people heal from traumatic memories, negative beliefs about themselves, or past situations in one's life that have caused them emotional pain. In addition, I teach people how to manage their thoughts and emotions using mindfulness, mind/body, meditation practices, and cognitive behavioral methods. For those who are interested in healing their mental health naturally through changing their life style habits, I have training in how proper nutrition, sleep and exercise can help improve one's brain health, and therefore improve their mental health.
I am a Mental Health Counselor with almost 20 years of experience providing therapy to diverse populations. I have worked with clients who have dealt with a wide range of concerns including but not limited to depression, anxiety, stress, and self-esteem issues. My hope is to partner with you through a therapeutic journey that leads you to a happier and more fulfilling life. My therapy style is compassionate, warm, and engaging. It is very important to me to respect and empower each individual to enable the confidence needed to make life changes. My approach combines humanistic and cognitive-behavioral therapy, in which we will work together to identify and reframe negative and unhelpful thoughts that may be affecting the way you feel.
My name is Keesha, and I am a licensed clinical mental health counselor (LCMHC) with over four years of experience in the field. My work has primarily focused on substance addiction, where I have provided individualized therapy to support clients on their journey toward recovery. Through compassionate care and evidence-based approaches, I strive to empower individuals in overcoming challenges and achieving lasting personal growth.
I bring both clinical experience and personal understanding to the therapy room. I’ve navigated my own mental health struggles and I am a survivor of suicide loss. These experiences deepen my commitment to meeting clients with empathy, authenticity, and respect. I have worked with men and women of all ages. I have worked with veterans and active duty members as well. If you’re ready to take the next step, I’d be honored to support you.
