Above all else I strive for authenticity in myself, my work, and my therapeutic relationships. I am very accepting of anyone who works with me and I encourage my clients to see themselves as the expert in their lives and their healing, while allowing me to guide them as they walk through the healing process in a way that is truly tailored to what they need and want from a therapist. I can be very free flowing in practice or offer more structured support. Most importantly I will be myself, so be prepared for humor, lots of questions, and someone will put your needs above all else during the time that you are in my office.
I will send you a ton of initial paperwork to be completed before our first appointment. The more time you spend on giving me as much information as possible on that paperwork the less time we have to spend during the first few sessions going over it and gathering details. I prefer to get started working on what you are currently struggling with as soon as possible. We will of course discuss typical therapy topics such as confidentiality and informed consent. I will also give you as much time as you need to ask questions about me and my process. Ideally you will leave that first session with at least one established goal for therapy and a better idea of who I am and how I can help you.
My comfort level with blending personal life experience and my professional training and education. I care more about my client's well-being and their overall success than I do about using specific techniques and modalities. My biggest strength is that I am an outside of the box therapist; meeting you where you are, in whatever way you need the guidance and support. I am comfortable with nontraditional lifestyles, relationships, and holistic healing. I make my clients feel safe being themselves because I show up as myself.
I specialize in working with adults who have experienced childhood and relationship trauma. I also have experience working with couples and individuals in poly/kink relationships or who are having trouble connecting intimately. I am looking to work with clients who are ready to dig in and do the healing work.
I provide IFS informed therapy to clients struggling with symptoms of past and present trauma. It is a more free flowing, talk therapy option designed to help you get in touch with all of the pieces and parts of you.
I have completed training in CPT through the National Center for PTSD. This is a more structured form of trauma processing therapy that helps to identify negative beliefs and thoughts patterns in order to alleviate symptoms of PTSD/CPTSD.
I work with couples to process past and present relationship trauma, as well as to establish skills and building blocks for healthier more communicative relationships.

Though paired by chance, Crystal is a great fit for me and what I want to accomplish.

I’ve only had one session but there’s already hope that is growing in my heart. I feel safe and not judged as we speak like two old friends. She has given me direct instruction so our time is valuable and we are moving forward. I am so thankful the VA has put me in touch with her as they were not able to get through to me like she has already which I think boils down to chemistry.

Crystal Fiorentino has been by far the most intuitive and attentive therapist I have met and believe me I have ran through my share of therapist. Our sessions feel more like I am venting to a friend and not just another veteran ID number. I appreciate her for paying attention to me, my needs, my faults and shortcomings and not making feel judged or making me feel like all the bad things that happened to me are my fault. She makes me feel noticed. I thank her for that.
