New to Grow
Navigating life’s challenges can feel overwhelming, especially when difficulties arise unexpectedly. While we cannot prepare for every curveball life throws our way, we can strengthen our ability to respond with resilience and clarity. Ineffective communication and a lack of healthy boundaries can strain even the strongest relationships, often leading to stress and misunderstanding. I expect my clients to strengthen their self-awareness, advocate for their needs and leave therapy with a toolbox of learned coping strategies to support existing and future challenges. As a licensed mental health counselor with over 15 years of experience, I support individuals in understanding their triggers, gaining deeper insight into their mental health needs, and developing practical strategies to move forward. I integrate cognitive behavioral therapy with DBT informed techniques to help you focus on what is within your control and to cultivate a more fulfilling, grounded life with a focus on present moment awareness and acceptance of thoughts, emotions, and sensations to work through overwhelming or negative thoughts. I strongly believe in a solution focused approach; my goal is to build rapport with my clients, identify strategies that provide resolution, teach them to my clients and allow them to practice them in real life situations. I aim to create a safe and supportive environment where you can build confidence, resilience, and meaningful change through empathy, humor, and a realistic perspective . I look forward to partnering with you on this journey toward achieving your next goal.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin building a comfortable, supportive foundation for our work together. I'll ask you some background questions to understand patterns, strength, and what daily life looks like for you. We will discuss what brought you to therapy and explore personal goals. I'll explain my role as a therapist as well as my approach to upcoming therapy sessions to help you obtain those goals.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
My eclectic approach is unique because it allows me to tailor therapy to you—your story, your needs, your pace. Instead of relying on a single therapeutic model, I thoughtfully combine evidence‑based techniques to create a personalized experience that feels supportive, practical, and genuinely effective.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
My ideal client is someone highly motivated to change, honest with their feelings and world view. Therapy can be challenging and uncomfortable. Individuals that work to develop self-awareness and willingness to take responsibility for their growth.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is one of the core approaches I use to help clients understand their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors—and how these pieces interact. In our work together, CBT provides a structured framework that helps you build insight, develop practical skills, and create meaningful, lasting change. We will Focus on building awareness, understanding thought patterns, and challenging unhelpful ones.
Eclectic
Understanding that therapy is not a one size fits all process. When developing treatment strategies, I draw from multiple evidence‑based modalities rather than relying on a single framework in order to focus on individual strengths and needs. This allows me to tailor the therapeutic process to each client’s unique needs, preferences, and goals. I integrate Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) techniques to help clients build practical skills for navigating intense emotions, improving relationships, and increasing overall resilience. DBT is an evidence-based approach that blends acceptance with meaningful behavior change, allowing individuals to better understand their internal experiences while learning new ways to respond to them.
