Hi, I'm Victoria, I've been honing my specialties for 30 years. I specialize in releasing trauma and old beliefs, rewiring mental habits to result in improved confidence, self esteem, clarity to follow dreams and goals. Since training in the bilateral therapies (EMDR, A.R.T., and Brainspotting) I've witnessed healing on a whole new level. Changing beliefs, thoughts and feelings that have been lifelong takes more than talking about, in my opinion. It requires change in the deep sub conscious, a place easily entered and "edited" utilizing these therapies, works much better and faster than only talking. This is my experience, and the reason why I specialize in these deeper, more sub conscious therapies. In addition, there are times when people prefer to talk, gaining much needed insight (light bulb moments) and releasing thoughts they don't feel comfortable sharing with others. Or, you need to problem solve, work through something cognitively. I practice other therapies that utilize talking as a main modality, too. The main priority is that you're comfortable. We will explore and find just that right fit, regarding modalities that work and also feel in sync with your needs.
While I need to collect some assessment (history) information, I like to get started and offer you something useful in the first session. Bilateral techniques to begin using, to process and digest stress and shift into a different feeling, to improve sleep and distract from thoughts.
I have always been told that I have great intuition utilizing these therapies, and I agree. I can sense which one to use and when. Always communicating with you, as to your comfort level with modalities, I utilize a custom made "menu" that works for you. The other piece that works well, is to teach you how to keep this going at home &/or at work. It takes a complete rewiring or habit change, and my clients report it's so much easier to transform when one can continue with new awareness and changes at home, with bilateral techniques (easy) to insert throughout the day, as you notice behaviors, thoughts, triggers or cravings that you want to change.
These therapies work for anyone, but especially, for those who have already done some work on themselves, and also, for those who are open to new modalities, and trying new interventions. Also, they are recommended for people who have a safe place to live and are in a relatively stable phase of life meaning, not in an abusive or other extremely stressful situation that invites crisis overload. These therapies can help prepare a person to leave bad situations, or enter into sobriety and receive help towards this.

Brainspotting
This modality is used to "dislodge" and release the trauma stored in certain areas of the brain.
EMDR
Utilized to release trauma through reprocess and reprogramming (talking about the trauma is not required) . And Similar to EMDR: Accelerated Resolution Therapy, A.R.T., known as "EMDR on Steroids"

Somatic strategies incorporated throughout most therapy modalities remove/release stuck emotions and trauma stored in the body
Internal Family Systems (IFS)
Most of my clients are working on Parts Work to heal the inner Self. This work is amazing, heals through awareness and then we add trauma processing as needed to turn trauma into Narrative Memory, like “reading a page out of a book” is how trainers explain it. And it is, just like that. The negative trauma emotion falls off during the re-process, and it becomes more of a neutral feeling without triggers.
