Greetings! I am Amina Omar Ali and I congratulate you for making this important step in changing your life for the better. It can be difficult decision and the work that follows in not easy, but with an open mind, and practice, you will get where you want to be. My job is to facilitate your journey into self discovery, and help you find and attain what you want. Therapy is about you, and the work you do will determine the success you have in therapy. Let me assure you that coming to therapy does not mean you are "crazy" or weak. It takes courage and strength to open yourself up to a stranger and do that deep dive into your vulnerable self. Be proud you have made this choice, and recognize that with a little help you can change your life.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In your first session, we will get to know each other, I will ask many questions, and we will have discussion about what you want to address and your goals for therapy. I sometimes give actionable items for you to practice outside of session.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I am working in this field for 24 years now. I have worked with diverse demographics, worked in case management, and social services. I enjoy getting to know my patient and help them fit the pieces of the puzzle together. I feel that loving oneself is the first part toward healing.
