Life has a way of nudging us to grow, pause, and ask deeper questions—especially when things feel hard or uncertain. No matter your age or stage, those moments are part of being human. My approach to counseling is eclectic and collaborative, grounded in creating a space where you can show up as you are and feel genuinely supported. Together, we’ll sort through what’s going on, build tools to help you cope, and find ways to move forward that feel meaningful and realistic for you. I work with people navigating burnout, midlife transitions, imposter syndrome, anxiety, depression, and relationship challenges. I bring both clinical insight and a real, human presence to the work (and yes, sometimes that includes a little well-placed profanity). I’m especially passionate about understanding how our early family experiences shape the way we live, love, and work. I truly believe that when the right space is created, therapy can help you reconnect with yourself in powerful, lasting ways.

Hello, I’m Dulcie. Have you been struggling and wondering why it’s so hard to feel happy, have a positive outlook, and accomplish the goals you have for your life? Are feelings of disappointment, confusion, and failure contributing to problems with your emotional health and relationships? Do you feel like nothing will ever change so what’s the point in trying? Well, let me tell you why, you are worth it and it’s never too late to invest in YOU! I have many years of experience counseling great people just like you, working together to navigate life’s obstacles, find common sense solutions, and help guide and support you during life transitions. If you allow me to go on this journey of change with you, I will focus on a person-centered approach where your needs, goals, and objectives will be the roadmap for our work together. I will use evidence-based treatment techniques, largely based on Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help you identify and change patterns in thinking and behavior that may be contributing to your current dissatisfaction. But perhaps even more important than the therapeutic approach employed, I will endeavor to build a relationship with you by being present, genuine, honest, and compassionate. I have learned that the outcomes my clients achieve are often a reflection of the strength of our therapeutic relationship. So, are you ready to partner with me as you endeavor to overcome the situations, relationship challenges, or symptoms that seem to be barriers between you and your best life? Hello, I am a licensed professional therapist in North Carolina. My experience has centered on working with diverse populations, from military-affiliated, college, and community behavioral health and private practice. Working within these settings has allowed my involvement with various ages, genders, cultures, and life experiences. My theoretical orientation is Constructivism; therefore, I need to understand my client's life perspectives and how that has influenced their worldview. In working with clients, I also practice an integrated approach using constructivism, person-centered, cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, solution-focused therapies, and others. Person-centered focuses on the client and allows the client to process feelings and thoughts in a non-judgmental environment with unconditional positive regard. Cognitive-behavioral therapy focuses on the role of thinking in the process of influencing a person's feelings of well-being and how controlling thoughts can affect mental health. This approach maintains the link between emotions and behaviors in the cognitive process. The humanistic therapeutic method emphasizes the counseling relationship and the importance of quality, genuineness, positive regard, and empathy in the counseling relationship. Solution-focused therapy utilizes skills already present to help navigate current concerns, focusing on being present and checking facts on emotions and feelings that might direct reactive responses to stressors. Constructivism proves the space for cultural humility and openness to worldviews I might not have had the privilege to interact with previously.

In life, we all move through peaks and valleys. While the high points can feel expansive and full of possibility, the valleys often feel isolating, overwhelming, or unclear. My work centers on helping clients feel less alone in those difficult moments and more empowered to navigate them with confidence, clarity, and self‑compassion. I believe that our deepest aspirations—love, peace, fulfillment, and meaningful connection—begin with the relationship we build with ourselves. As we strengthen that inner foundation, we naturally create healthier, more authentic relationships with others. Therapy becomes a space where this transformation can unfold with intention and support. In my practice, I walk alongside my clients with a grounded, non‑judgmental, and compassionate presence. My first priority is to listen deeply. I want to understand what matters most to you, what you’re carrying, and how your experiences have shaped the way you move through the world. I strive to ensure you feel genuinely seen and heard from the very beginning, because healing grows from a foundation of trust and authentic connection. Together, we explore your inner landscape—your strengths, your patterns, your hopes, and the parts of you that may feel stuck or unheard. Through this collaborative process, you can begin to reconnect with your sense of self, develop healthier emotional habits, and move toward a life that feels more aligned and fulfilling. If you’re ready to step into a space where you don’t have to navigate the valleys alone, I’m here to walk with you.

For 18 years, I have worked alongside children and adults navigating some of life's hardest moments: anxiety, depression, trauma, family conflict, and more. I believe that when you invest in your mental health, you gain more control over your own life, and that is something worth working toward together. I am dually licensed in both North Carolina and South Carolina, which means I bring a depth of clinical experience across many settings. Using a blend of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person Centered, and Solution Focused Therapy, I meet you where you are and help you build toward where you want to be.

Hi! I’m Jada, a licensed therapist dedicated to helping individuals feel more grounded, confident, and emotionally balanced in their daily lives. I specialize in working with high-functioning people who may appear to have everything together on the outside, yet internally feel overwhelmed, anxious, or emotionally drained. I understand how easy it can be to get stuck in cycles of overthinking, people-pleasing, and constantly prioritizing others while neglecting your own needs. Many of my clients come to therapy feeling exhausted, uncertain, or disconnected from themselves, and are ready to make meaningful changes. My approach is warm, supportive, and direct. I aim to create a space where you feel comfortable being open and honest, while also helping you challenge patterns that no longer serve you. I believe therapy should not only provide insight but also offer practical tools you can apply in your everyday life. I am passionate about helping my clients build healthier boundaries, improve their relationships, and strengthen their sense of self so they can show up more confidently and intentionally in all areas of life.

I come from a first responder family, and it shaped how I understand the people I work with. I built my practice specifically for law enforcement, fire, EMS, dispatchers/911, and veterans — people who carry things most providers have never had to sit with, let alone treat. I'm not interested in being another therapist who nods along without understanding the job. I get it, and that changes what happens in the room. Not all the work is about the job, either. Plenty of clients come to me for personal issues — relationship struggles, childhood stuff, grief, anxiety, things that have nothing to do with the badge or uniform. Being from this world just means I already understand the context you're operating in, whatever you're bringing to the room. I use evidence-based treatments — including EMDR, Brainspotting, and Prolonged Exposure, among others — to help clients process trauma that others may not fully understand. I also draw on Critical Incident Stress Management and Psychological First Aid for cumulative exposure, not just single-incident trauma. Whether it's an officer-involved shooting, years of runs finally catching up with someone, or something from long before the job started, I know how to work with it directly instead of dancing around it. My style is direct and less formal. I'm not going to make you explain your job to me or treat your coping mechanisms as automatically pathological. I'll call things what they are and won't waste your time with fluff. I work entirely via telehealth — meet with me from home, your vehicle between calls, wherever gives you privacy. If you want a therapist who won't flinch and actually understands the world you operate in, I'd like to work with you.

Whatever brings you in—whether it is trauma, grief, dissociation, anxiety, or depression—my hope is to provide a soft place for you to land. You may feel stuck, overwhelmed, or uncomfortable in your own skin, but you are also resilient. You want to heal, but perhaps you have lost hope that true healing is possible. My practice is built on the belief that by increasing our "Window of Realness"—moving beyond just tolerating the world to fully engaging with it—we can discover our most authentic selves. I specialize in helping survivors of extreme life experiences and those navigating major transitions to claim back their power. From our very first interaction, you will feel acknowledged, respected, and empowered as a human being with valid rights and needs.
