LCMHC, 19 years of experience
New to Grow
My name is Dr. Brandon Lowe and I'm a licensed mental health and addictions therapist. I have a doctoral degree (2024) in Christian counseling and a master's degree in Rehabilition and Mental Health counseling (2013). I've been in the counseling field since 2006. I've worked myself up from a behavioral health specialist to doctoral status within my 19 years in the behavioral health field. Over the years, not only did I acquire higher education but most importantly experience.
During my first session I love to build rapport. I never expect individuals to open up to clinicians that they are not comfortable with. I have a big personality, and I love to use it. I want my clients to feel safe with talking with me.
I use a multifaceted approach to my therapeutic practices. I don't believe one therapeutic approach works best for all individuals. I'm a very knowledgeable and experienced therapist, meaning it doesn't take me a long time to adapt and use the appropriate therapeutic method that may work best for each individual situation.
I've spent nearly two decades of serving individuals with different needs and challenges. My ideal client is the client that is open to change and being able to view their situation from a different perspective. I just ask that my client at least attempt to meet me halfway, we travel the remaining distance together.
I use a multifaceted therapeutic approach (many treatment methods) however MI is used to reduce confrontations, helps with self-awareness, and empowers clients to solve their own problems.
I use CBT to help clients with processing their decision making. Rational vs Irrational thinking process.
I used DBT to help clients with understanding and process their emotions. I use this method more with individuals that are diagnosed with personality disorders, depression and anxiety disorders, or any other areas where emotions are elevated.
I have been practicing sex-based dysfunctions, addictions, and sexual aggressive behaviors for the past 7 years. I have a Certified Sex Offender Treatment Provider national certification that allows me to treat SO which many have some type of sexualized defiant behavior.
Throughout my 19 years of providing therapy, I've been heavy involved in providing trauma therapy. Helping individuals with processing (CBT) their trauma to be the best individual they can be, is often a goal I set for trauma survivors.
