I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker serving clients in North Carolina, Ohio, and Alabama. I earned my Master of Social Work degree through the Joint Program at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and North Carolina A&T State University and have spent the past 15 years working in a variety of mental health settings. As a biracial and bicultural woman of White and Native American heritage and an enrolled member of the Lumbee Tribe of North Carolina, I understand the importance of culture, identity, belonging, and lived experience in the healing process. I specialize in helping adults navigate anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, self-esteem challenges, family conflict, grief, loss, and caregiver burnout. I also have extensive experience working with trauma survivors, including individuals recovering from unhealthy relationships, emotional abuse, religious trauma and domestic violence. While I enjoy working with adults from all backgrounds, I am especially passionate about supporting women as they build confidence, strengthen boundaries, heal from past experiences, and reconnect with their sense of self. My approach is warm, collaborative, and down-to-earth. I believe therapy should be a space where you can show up as your authentic self without fear of judgment. I strive to create an environment where clients feel safe, heard, respected, and empowered to make meaningful changes in their lives. Many clients tell me they appreciate my conversational, down-to-earth style. While therapy can involve discussing difficult topics, I also believe healing can include moments of humor, self-discovery, and recognizing your strengths along the way. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, processing trauma, navigating a major life transition, or working to create healthier relationships, you do not have to face it alone. I am committed to providing affirming care for individuals who identify as BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, bicultural/biracial, neurodivergent, ability-diverse, and those from underrepresented communities.

My passion is to work with those who have struggled with the challenges of life; trauma, addiction, relationship issues, mood disorders, grief, attachment, career issues or any stress contributing to anxiety. They may have sought therapy in the past and have become discouraged, for whatever reason. The foundation of therapy is the therapeutic alliance. When one suffers various disorders, life becomes dull and motivation to live according to one's values instead of one's fears is threatened. It is critical that the therapist be attuned to the worldview of the client to facilitate healing, self acceptance and self compassion. Pain is inevitable while suffering is optional.

I’m a licensed clinical social worker who provides a supportive, collaborative, and trauma-informed space for clients to better understand themselves and create meaningful change. I believe therapy works best when it feels safe, respectful, and individualized, not rushed or one-size-fits-all. My role is to meet you where you are, help you make sense of your experiences, and support you in building skills and insight that translate into real-life change. My approach is grounded in trauma-informed care and informed by evidence-based practices including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), attachment-based therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Trauma-Focused CBT, and Child–Parent Psychotherapy when working with children and families. In practice, this means we may focus on understanding patterns between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors; strengthening emotional regulation and coping skills; exploring how past relationships impact present ones; clarifying values; or gently processing difficult experiences at a pace that feels manageable. I place a strong emphasis on collaboration and choice, ensuring you remain an active participant in your care. I work with adults, children, adolescents, and caregivers navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, relationship challenges, and emotional overwhelm. Many of my clients come to therapy feeling stuck, disconnected, or unsure why certain patterns keep repeating despite their best efforts. Together, we work to increase clarity, self-compassion, and confidence while developing practical tools you can use outside of sessions. Above all, my goal is to create a space where you feel heard, supported, and empowered to move forward in a way that feels authentic, sustainable, and aligned with your values.

I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Supervisor (LCMHCS) in the state of North Carolina, a National Certified Counselor (NCC), and an Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS). I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Provider (CCTP).I hold a Master of Arts in Professional Counseling from Liberty University (2013) and earned my Doctor of Education in Community Care and Counseling with a focus in Traumatology in 2022. With over 11 years of clinical experience, I have had the privilege of working across a broad spectrum of mental health settings. For the past eight years, I have supported active-duty service members and their families in an outpatient setting, providing trauma-informed care rooted in evidence-based practices. Prior to this, I worked in an inpatient facility with individuals experiencing persistent and severe mental illness. Currently, I also facilitate group therapy for adolescents in an acute inpatient setting, offering crisis stabilization and psychoeducation. I conceptualize treatment through the lens of Relational Frame Theory and approach therapy from a systemic perspective, always considering the broader relational and environmental factors impacting my clients. I strongly value mindfulness as both a personal and professional practice, integrating it regularly into treatment to support emotional regulation and present-moment awareness. Outside of my clinical work, I’ve been happily married for 20 years and am the proud parent of two teenage children. I share my home with two beloved dogs, a leopard gecko, and mud turtle. In my free time, I enjoy baking, crocheting, reading, and spending time at the beach—places and activities that help me stay grounded and connected.

Many people appear "fine" on the outside while internally struggling with anxiety, intrusive thoughts, overwhelm, self-doubt, perfectionism, relationship challenges, or feeling stuck in unhelpful patterns. You may find yourself overthinking, emotionally exhausted, disconnected from the present, or constantly putting pressure on yourself just to keep up. Therapy can help you slow down, better understand yourself, regulate emotions more effectively, and change patterns to create a greater sense of balance, clarity, and connection in your life. I help clients gain self-awareness, stop obsessive compulsive cycles, manage anxiety and overwhelm, regulate emotions, improve relationships, and break free from unhelpful patterns. I offer in-person and virtual therapy. In-person therapy is available on Monday's at my office in South Tampa. I create a supportive, non-judgmental environment where you can openly explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences and work to make lasting change. If this sounds like work you're ready to engage in, book an appointment or contact me to set up a consultation call and we'll see if we're a good fit!

I believe meaningful change begins with understanding ourselves rather than judging ourselves. As an experienced behavioral health clinician, my approach is honest, collaborative, and practical, blending evidence-based approaches with compassion, and authenticity. Together, we'll explore your experiences, develop practical tools, and identify meaningful changes that align with the life you want to live. I work with older adolescents (16+), and adults from diverse backgrounds, having supported individuals across outpatient, community-based, and inpatient behavioral healthcare settings. While I welcome clients of all genders, I'm intentionally building a specialty in helping men navigate the unique pressures of masculinity, relationships, fatherhood, identity, burnout, life transitions, and perfectionism. My extensive experience working across a variety of behavioral healthcare settings has also given me firsthand insight into the unique challenges faced by healthcare professionals, including nurses, physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, therapists, paramedics, EMTs, and other emergency responders. I understand the realities of chronic stress, secondary trauma, compassion fatigue, burnout, and the emotional weight that often comes with caring for others. Whether you're navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, life transitions, or simply feeling stuck, I aim to provide a space where you feel heard, understood, appropriately challenged, and supported. We'll move at a pace that reflects your individual needs while working toward greater clarity, healing, and lasting growth.

As a social worker, I consider "the whole person" and the systems impacting them to offer a positive therapeutic experience. I support clients of all backgrounds to address various issues including depression, anxiety, stress, trauma, substance abuse, relationship and family conflicts. I specialize in working with children and teens ages 6-17 years old. I utilize play therapy and mindfulness techniques to help children communicate their feelings, explore their world and resolve conflicts. I also specialize in working with adults in trauma treatment using CBT, DBT, Solution Focused, Acceptance and Commitment & Skills Development. My biggest passion is helping empower individuals to find their own greatness. Do you want to discover the best ways to manage your emotions and cultivate self-control for yourself, your family, your community? If you seek support and guidance, interested in thriving, I invite you to reach out for consultation. I am a good support for those who need it.

Hi! I'm a dually Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist (LCAS) working in the Raleigh NC area. I received my Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) and Master of Social Work (MSW) from the North Carolina State University and have been practicing for 7 years. I love what I do, I left a successful career when I was in my mid 40's to go to college so I could become a social worker. I became a LCSW because I lost a partner when I was in my early 30's and a LCSW helped me navigate a new beginning and changed my life forever.

Welcome! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 15 years of experience helping others cope with day-to-day stressors and past troubling events. Coping may involve identifying and reframing long-standing negative thoughts and assumptions or identifying our core values and goals, which can make frustrating or uncomfortable situations more manageable or put them into perspective. Seeing ourselves and our thoughts, issues or non-ideal behaviors for what they are can lead to greater self-awareness and the ability to offer ourselves the same compassion and understanding we give others. Our stuff is just that- stuff. Stuff we have accumulated along the road of life. Those things may impact us, but they do not need to control or define us. Learning to see ourselves in this more neutral and accepting way leads to greater self-esteem and decreased self-doubt and negative judgement. This in turn makes change more possible.

The specialty filter is optional. You don’t need to check any boxes to see a provider. However, fit is very important when selecting an online therapist. If you have knowledge or experience to recognize what specialties you may need.

Your first therapy session is for you and your therapist to meet each other and to ask any questions that you have about the counseling process. This is where you can expect your therapist to do the same as they will ask questions to gain insight into your specific situation. In this first session the therapist is doing their part to gather as much information so they can better assess if they are able to meet your therapeutic needs. Depending upon your provider's specialty, you may also discuss the methods the therapist will use. For additional information on therapy methods, please visit the Grow Therapy Help Center. Some people feel nervous before their first appointment, and that is totally normal! Coming prepared with a list of questions for your therapist may help. Remember, you're taking a brave step by seeking therapy, and it is okay to be nervous as you try something new.
