About me

I’m Jennifer Turner Taylor, a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and owner of The Rehab Concierge. I work with adults navigating anxiety, chronic illness, work-related stress, and major life transitions that may leave them feeling overwhelmed, uncertain, or disconnected from the life they want. My approach is warm, collaborative and practical, creating a supportive space where clients can better understand what they are experiencing, develop strategies that fit their everyday lives and rebuild confidence in themselves. At The Rehab Concierge, the goal is to help you feel calmer, more capable and prepared to move forward with greater clarity and intention.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin understanding what brought you to therapy. We’ll talk about what has been feeling difficult, how it is affecting your daily life, and what you would like to change or improve. You do not have to arrive with everything figured out or know exactly what to say. We will move at a comfortable pace, identify your priorities, and begin developing practical goals for therapy. My goal is for you to leave the first session feeling heard, supported, and clearer about what moving forward together could look like.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My approach stands out because I help clients understand anxiety, not just cope with it. Whether anxiety shows up as constant worry, overthinking, physical tension, fear of the unknown, or difficulty feeling in control, we work together to recognize the patterns that keep you stuck and develop practical ways to respond differently. I also understand that anxiety rarely exists in a vacuum, so we explore how work stress, chronic illness, relationships and major life changes may be contributing to what you are experiencing. Therapy with me is warm, collaborative and practical, with a focus on helping you feel calmer, more confident and better equipped to navigate everyday life.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal client is an adult who may look capable on the outside but feels overwhelmed by anxiety, overthinking, or constant worry on the inside. You may struggle to quiet your mind, second-guess decisions, anticipate what could go wrong, or feel physically tense even when everything seems “fine.” Anxiety may be connected to work stress, health concerns, chronic illness, or a major life transition. You are ready to better understand your patterns, learn practical ways to manage anxiety and feel more confident navigating uncertainty. You do not have to have everything figured out. You simply need to be willing to show up, be curious about yourself, and take small steps toward feeling calmer and more in control of your life.

My treatment methods

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I believe you are the expert on your own life. Rather than telling you what you should do, I take time to understand your experiences, concerns, values and what matters most to you. Together, we explore what may be getting in the way and identify changes that feel realistic and meaningful for your life. I provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you can speak openly, build on your strengths and move toward your goals at a pace that feels right for you.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to help you change your relationship with difficult thoughts and emotions rather than feeling like you have to eliminate them before you can move forward. For example, with anxiety, we may work on noticing anxious thoughts without automatically treating them as facts or allowing them to make every decision. We also identify what matters most to you so you can take meaningful steps toward the life you want, even when worry, fear or uncertainty shows up along the way.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help you understand how your thoughts, emotions and behaviors influence one another. When working with anxiety, we may identify patterns such as overthinking, expecting the worst, avoiding uncomfortable situations or constantly seeking reassurance. Together, we examine whether these patterns are helping or keeping you stuck and practice healthier ways of thinking and responding. The goal is not to simply “think positive,” but to develop more balanced perspectives, practical coping skills and greater confidence in handling situations that may normally trigger anxiety.

Motivational Interviewing

I use Motivational Interviewing to help you explore changes you may want to make while respecting that you are in control of your decisions. If you feel stuck, uncertain or torn between making a change and staying where things feel familiar, we work through those feelings without judgment or pressure. I help you identify what matters most to you, recognize your own reasons for change and build confidence in taking realistic steps forward. This approach can be especially helpful when anxiety or fear makes it difficult to make decisions or take action.

Multicultural

I recognize that your experiences are shaped by more than what brings you to therapy. Your culture, family, community, values, identity and life experiences can influence how you understand yourself, respond to stress and approach healing. I take time to understand what these experiences mean to you rather than making assumptions about what they should mean. Together, we consider the full picture of your life so therapy feels respectful, relevant and aligned with who you are.
