I am focused on sex therapy, working with people who have gender or identity questioning issues, issues with partners, kink/fetish/swinging related issues, or problems or issues with sex and sexuality. I see individuals, couples, and polycules. I have both book learning and practical, lived experience in many sex/gender/sexuality issues. I am a member of the American Association of Sex Educators, Counselors, and Therapists. I believe there is no single “right” way to experience desire, identity, or relationships. Therapy with me is an affirming, open-minded space where clients can explore who they are, what they want, and how to move forward with greater confidence, clarity, and self-acceptance. Outside of therapy, I enjoy spending time in the wilderness, thrifting or browsing rummage sales, and sharing life with partners and five and a half cats.

Hi, I'm Jonni Allen, from Houston, Texas, a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist and an Advanced Mediator. I received my masters degree from East Carolina University in Greenville, NC and my law degree from Washburn University in Topeka, KS. I started Pink Rose Therapy to help women reach their full potential. Through empowerment, support, and emotional development I have seen women achieve greater success in their career, higher reports of satisfaction and enjoyment from their interpersonal relationships and a genuine calm and peacefulness when enjoying their down time, allowing more time to spend on hobbies, side hustles, or causes with greater vigor and passion. I approach individual therapy as a partnership, where you and I both work on your treatment plan goals and checking in with how effective our work together is going. Each person is unique and has specific needs. Typically, I utilize cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) techniques to challenge your current assumptions about your situation. I specialize in people experiencing anxiety, adjustment concerns around life transitions, and personality disorders. I am trauma informed and can help you realize how past traumas are impacting your mental health today, and strategies to cope better and calm the mind and body. I am a single mom to three children one adult, and two elementary age.

I blend ACT, DBT, CBT, and embodied awareness to help people understand their thoughts, regulate their nervous systems, and build relationships and behaviors that align with their values. I’m someone who cares about real connection, steady progress, and creating a space where you can show up as yourself. I’ve spent years helping people sort through heavy thoughts, navigate big life changes, and rebuild a sense of direction. My approach is collaborative, practical, and values-driven. I bring structure when it’s helpful and loosen it when you’re ready to lead. My communication style is calm, warm, and straightforward — I make space for you to speak freely, slow down, or dig deeper when you’re ready. My background spans community mental health, integrated primary care, and work with people navigating some of life’s harder edges — chronic illness, trauma, and major life transitions. I’ve worked alongside people at a lot of different starting points, and that shapes how I show up: without assumptions, and without a one-size-fits-all approach.

I am a social worker with 25 years of experience supporting clients across the lifespan — from infants and their caregivers to older adults navigating later‑life challenges. My work is grounded in the belief that our thoughts are powerful drivers of our emotions and behaviors. When we learn to understand and reshape those thoughts, meaningful and lasting change becomes possible. Using Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT), I help clients harness the power of their thinking to influence how they feel and act in everyday situations. Many people have been taught to “just change their behavior,” and when that doesn’t work, they blame themselves. I guide clients toward a different approach — one that starts with the mind, not with willpower. In our sessions, I use analogies, real‑life examples, and practical tools that clients can immediately apply. My goal is for every session to end with one new tool for their toolbox, something concrete they can practice between sessions. And while the work is meaningful, I believe it can also be engaging — even fun — as clients begin to see themselves and the world through a new, more empowering lens.

Many of the women I work with are extremely capable and successful in their careers, yet they feel frustrated that food seems to be the one area of life they cannot fully control. Emotional eating often develops as a response to stress, exhaustion, or emotional overload. In our work together we explore the deeper patterns driving these behaviors so you can develop a healthier relationship with food and feel confident in your body again. I also provide specialized coaching programs for clients who want to go deeper into transforming their relationship with food and building sustainable health habits. Using my signature Release It Now!TM 5-Step Process, I help clients heal from the inside out — restoring peace, self-worth, confidence, and emotional resilience. When you heal the emotional roots beneath your behaviors, lasting freedom follows. How I Help: The Release and Heal It Now!TM 5-Step Process This isn’t a quick fix. My journey into therapy began when my daughter was diagnosed with ADHD at a young age. As I learned more about how to support her, I realized how meaningful it would be to help others navigate similar challenges. That experience inspired me to become the kind of therapist I had wanted for her—someone who listens deeply, meets clients where they are, and helps them feel truly understood. Hello! I am Susan. Are you feeling stuck in life and defined by past traumas or mistakes? Do you find these issues affecting your ability to establish quality relationships? Does anxiety or depression feel like a constant companion? It is my goal to meet each individual where they are at in life and learn their story so that we can address the core issues and not just treat the surface symptoms. I work from a strengths-based approach as we identify barriers to progress and create a path forward to overcome those barriers. I love to meet each new client and feel humbled to bear witness to their stories and their healing. Seeking therapy can feel so intimidating. It takes great courage to face the memories and issues you may have avoided up until now. When we meet, it will be your goals and values that guide treatment. I will allow you to set the pace so that the process feels tolerable. It is one of the greatest privileges of my life to walk with others through hard places. If you're dealing with anxiety that won't let up, a life change that's left you off-balance, or relationship tension that keeps getting in the way — I can help. After 10 years as a school social worker in St. Louis, I know what it looks like when people are overwhelmed, and what it actually takes to move through it. Today I work with adults navigating similar territory: the pressure that builds quietly, the transitions that feel harder than expected, the moments in relationships that leave you stuck. My focus is on making therapy practical, grounded, and worth your time.

With 17 years of experience in diverse therapeutic settings, I bring both depth and perspective to my work as a psychotherapist. My training is rooted in evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), with additional expertise in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Over the course of my career, I have had the privilege of helping individuals navigate depression, anxiety, stress, and the complexities of relationships. I have a particular interest in supporting women’s mental health, drawing on my clinical knowledge and life experience to create a therapeutic space that is both compassionate and effective. I offer a mature, steady presence—one that balances warmth with skill—to guide clients toward growth, resilience, and meaningful change.

Hello and welcome! Congratulations, you’ve taken the first step by recognizing you need support. Counseling is extremely personal, and finding a good fit is key to success. I offer you over 20 years of experience working in the mental health field. I have an undergraduate degree in Psychology with a minor in Chemistry (2001), and a graduate degree in Community Counseling (2006). I have 12 years experience working in a non-profit organization offering psychoeducation, group, individual, family, and couples counseling from pre-school to adult within agency, school and court settings. During that time, I spent over 7 years supervising and mentoring interns, supervising other clinicians toward licensure, as well as managing staff and developing clinical programs. In 2011, I took a leap fulfilling a dream by opening my private practice specializing in gifted and twice exceptional/neurodiverse individuals. Outside of work, I volunteer (2003-present) with the National Council on Youth Leadership helping to challenge high school juniors and seniors to broaden their leadership skills through experiential learning opportunities. I am an active parent to three and serve on the PTO board of my children’s elementary school. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family outdoors (gardening, hiking, biking and kayaking), crafting (quilting, painting, and paper crafts), and reading.

My goal is for you to feel heard, leave sessions with clarity, and begin making meaningful progress from the start. I specialize in working with adolescents and adults who are navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, and life transitions. Many of my clients feel stuck, overwhelmed, or frustrated by patterns they haven’t been able to change on their own. They’re often looking for more than just a place to talk.My style is collaborative, client-centered, and goal-oriented. I use evidence-based, skills-focused interventions, with a strong foundation in person centered and DBT-informed strategies. Together, we’ll focus on building emotional regulation, strengthening coping skills, and creating real, sustainable behavior change. I believe everyone has the power to heal within themselves and can benefit from counseling.

Your first therapy session is for you and your therapist to meet each other and to ask any questions that you have about the counseling process. This is where you can expect your therapist to do the same as they will ask questions to gain insight into your specific situation. In this first session the therapist is doing their part to gather as much information so they can better assess if they are able to meet your therapeutic needs. Coming prepared with a list of questions for your therapist may help. Remember, you're taking a brave step by seeking therapy, and it is okay to be nervous as you try something new.
