My name is Beth Rivet and I love hearing people's stories and helping them feel better about themselves! I have been therapist for 25 plus years and I want to help you! I have worked with clients of all different backgrounds with many different traumas and situations. Whatever is preventing you from moving forward in your life- that is what we need to figure out and sort out. I want to help my clients identify negative thoughts and maladaptive behavior patterns and understand the day to day impact. Understanding what you can and can't change is part of this equation as is recognizing how your thoughts impact your feelings about yourself and those around you. I want you to be the best version of yourself that you can be and I would love to help you find your way there. Promoting self esteem and self confidence by teaching positive coping skills, mindfulness, psycho-education, and self regulation are an essential part of my practice. I hope you will be brave and take that difficult first step to make a positive change in your life. I would love to be your partner in this endeavor. I can't wait to meet you!

I am a compassionate and attentive Licensed Mental Health Counselor fluent in both English and Spanish. My dedication lies in guiding individuals toward clarity, renewed hope, self-compassion, and effective coping strategies to navigate life’s challenges. I strive to create a nonjudgmental and supportive environment where clients feel motivated and safe to prioritize their well-being and pursue the lives they desire. Driven by a profound curiosity about life’s complexities, I earned a bachelor’s degree in Deviant Behavior and Social Control, followed by a graduate degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from St. John’s University. I have specialized training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Perinatal Mental Health, equipping me to support a diverse range of client needs. With over a decade of counseling experience in various settings—including inpatient mental health hospitals, higher education, and community counseling centers—I have developed a warm and accepting approach. My goal is to help clients understand their challenges and implement lasting solutions for positive change, empowering them to embrace their journeys with confidence and resilience.
