My name is Dr. Olushola Bakare, and I'm a board-certified Psychotherapist. I attended St Joseph College. I'm happy to help you today with any of your concerns. I enjoy empowering people and digging out their strengths. I don't ask fish to fly, neither do I ask birds to swim. I respect everyone's strengths and help my client recognize them. I love to highlight my client's strengths. I offer a safe, warm, therapeutic, judgment-free space for Adults (18+) and Older Adults (65+). I am sorry, but I do not accept clients who pay in cash. Also, every late cancellation or no-show accrues a late charge fee.
It is my ethical duty to officially terminate our therapeutic relationship when it is reasonably clear that the client is no longer beneficent, services are no longer required, counseling no longer serves the client's needs and interests, or Dr. Olushola Bakare, LMFT limits do not allow the provision of further counseling services.
It is the policy of Dr. Olushola Bakare, LMFT, that our professional relationship will be terminated after a one-month consistent lapse of meeting with a client. Dr. Olushola Bakare, LMFT, will attempt to notify you of this change in status as soon as possible after one month. My ethical duty is identifying, being available, and caring for current clients. It could feel awkward for our relationship to end, yet it is not meant to be discourteous in any way. I do not complete disability forms (Social Security, work excuse, FMLA, Court papers/legal papers, emotional support letters, etc).
NO COUPLE THERAPY OR MEDICATION MANAGEMENT, PLEASE!

My experience spans mental health, behavioral care, consulting, education, business, writing and more! I enjoy spending time with family and friends, fishing, sports, reading, writing, cooking and the great outdoors. I believe that we all have a story to tell and, while some parts are beyond our control (many health wise and otherwise for me which I have overcome), much of the narrative is determined by how we handle the challenges faced. I am motivated to help motivate and assist others to take the steps necessary in combating challenges and improving their quality of life.
Hello and welcome! I am a Licensed Individual Clinical Social Worker in DC (LICSW); and also a Clinical Social Worker in MD (LCSW-C). I received my Master's degree in Counseling Psychology in 1985 and my Master's degree in Social Work in 1999. I earned my LICSW in DC in 2002. In December 2025, I earned my Clinical license in Maryland (LCSW-C). I like talking with people--but more importantly, listening to people. To me, therapy is a block of time. It is an opportunity for people to talk to someone who is not a parent, brother, sister, spouse or even best friend. My goal is to listen to you and to help you consider options in your life.
Welcome! Take a breath — you're in the right place. My name is Chelsea ; I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker dedicated to helping individuals navigate life’s challenges with compassion, insight, and practical support. Reaching out for support isn’t always easy, but it’s a powerful first step. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, navigating a life transition, or simply craving a space to feel seen and heard, I’m here to walk alongside you. This is a space where you don’t have to have it all figured out — just come as you are. Whether you’re facing a life change, dealing with stress, or just need someone to talk to, you’re always welcome here. Together, we’ll explore how these experiences affect your well-being and what might be holding you back from the life you’re longing for. I bring warmth and clarity to sessions, working collaboratively with you using evidence-based techniques to support your goals. Together, we’ll process challenges, build skills, manage symptoms, foster self-growth, establish healthy boundaries, and create a safe, supportive space for your journey.
Starting therapy is a brave step, and you don’t have to do it alone. I’m here to support you. This space is for you — to feel heard, supported, and empowered. If this resonates with you, I’d love to hear from you.
I’m a therapist who believes deeply in the power of connection, compassion, and honest conversation. Over the past 30 years, I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside people facing trauma, ADHD, grief, and the many transitions that come with aging, and I approach each person’s story with respect and genuine curiosity. I work gently and collaboratively, creating a space where you can slow down, breathe, and explore what you’re carrying without judgment. As someone who has always shared my life with animals, I understand how grounding and healing those bonds can be, and I welcome clients who find comfort and strength in them too. My goal is to help you feel supported, understood, and empowered as you move toward a life that feels more steady, meaningful, and hopeful.
Outside of my work, I’m someone who finds joy in simple, grounding things. I love reading, spending time in nature, and making enthusiastic—but often less‑than‑successful—attempts at gardening. Building LEGO is one of my favorite mindfulness activities, and I enjoy attending local outdoor festivals, practicing quiet moments of mindfulness, and spending time with my pets, family, and friends. These parts of my life help me stay balanced, present, and connected, and they often inform the warmth and authenticity I bring into the therapy room.
I have more than 22+ years of clinical experience in both outpatient and inpatient settings, including private practice. I hold a Master's in Social Work from the University of Maryland School of Social Work. I am trained in Animal Assisted Play Therapy with my Coton de Tulear, Sophia. This breed is known as the "anti-depressant" breed because of their joy and playfulness. I may integrate lessons learned from this training, as appropriate. I have also been trained in EMDR, trauma informed care, transpersonal psychology, mediation, conflict resolution, and collaborative divorce.
I enjoy travel, meditation, Pilates, and reading.
As a therapist, I strive to create a non-judgmental space for my clients through warmth, engagement, and sometimes humor. It is my hope that my clients always feel supported by me, even when I challenge them to take accountability and change their patterns. I love to listen, learn, and form relationships with people from all walks of life. I have over 5 years of experience working with clients who struggle with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, perfectionism, disordered eating, and stress from work, school, relationships, and/or their families.
As we move through 2026, do you want to move differently? more positively? with less guilt?
Life is way too short to not believe in ourselves. Often when we face the challenges that are holding us back, head-on with a little bit of help; progress is not only possible - it is inevitable.
I am a fellow traveler in this journey of self-discovery, healing, and becoming all that I am meant to be.
If you are in a relationship and you know, you just know, that if you can learn to actually talk deeply with each other, then your relationship can bloom, I hear you and perhaps you need some coaching.
Is there a voice inside you that is saying "Life has more for me than this ?" I know this voice and the feelings of anxiety and depression that often results from our struggling alone. Change is not only possible, it is inevitable when we clear out the clutter in our hearts and minds. The journey from surviving to thriving is less intimidating when there is someone to walk with you.
My life experiences have brought me to this exciting place in my life - helping people to rediscover their inner gifts and become who they know they can be. I love helping people move forward in the Change process. Engaging fear, looking within, trying new skills, learning new ways to build self-esteem - this is the real currency of life.
Depression and anxiety will lift and become manageable.
Couples can do conflict well and become friends again.
You can make deep and lasting change in your life and pursue the career aspirations you dream of.

I use the newest advances in neuroscience to heal emotional pain, anxiety, trauma, depression and PTSD. These issues cannot be solved with TALK THERAPY as recent research has found that the emotional pain of past events is stuck and resides within your body and nervous system. Adrenaline is flowing through your system which is keeping you anxious. Research shows that we have to remove the trauma from your body-mind, reduce the adrenaline/cortisol, and only then activate your conscious medial cortex to "reframe and rethink" the issues. First we heal the body, then we will heal the mind.
I work with people of all faiths. I believe in a spirituality that transcends religion. With my guidance, you can transform negative energy into positive growth. You are unique, and your struggles have never been experienced by anyone else in the world. That's why I am committed to helping you on your journey towards finding meaning, purpose, and self-actualization. I will guide you towards a happier, more fulfilling life. If you are ready to take the first step towards a better tomorrow, please reach out to me to schedule an appointment.
I have developed a transformative program called Consciousness that helps individuals overcome feelings of sadness, anger, and loss. My approach acknowledges that crises can be opportunities to tap into hidden strengths and abilities, rather than mere setbacks that can break us. I will help you embrace a more positive, hopeful and energetic approach to life. You can learn more about Consciousness in my book Stay Woke and Ignite Your Soul.
The challenge you are currently facing is your special project or mission. You can do this. I will help guide you on your continuing journey toward self-discovery. Take the first step toward growth and a better life.

Hello,
My name is Tierra Evans. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Work Supervisor and Mental Health Clinician. I have been a licensed Social Worker for nine years and counting. I am a Texas native and have traveled extensively. I received my Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington. I specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), strengths-based therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and other therapeutic modalities. My passion is to nurture and cultivate positive energy and high vibrations throughout my life journey.
Services are provided within a short-term, goal-oriented framework. Treatment typically consists of 6–8 sessions. Progress is formally reviewed around session six, at which point the client and therapist mutually determine whether to conclude services, extend treatment for an additional time-limited phase, or pursue other appropriate options.
Hello, I’m Rosa Wright, a Board Certified Licensed Clinical Social Worker in MD and VA, and I specialize in freedom centered, culturally affirming therapy. With ten years of dedicated service work - especially supporting women, youth, and those on perinatal journeys- I bring deep, holistic experience to our sessions.
As a mother with a multicultural background, my personal journey informs my practice. I move beyond standard models to genuinely honor and navigate the unique cultural and systemic contexts that shape my clients' lives. I provide a confidential, trauma-informed virtual space for therapeutic growth in MD and VA.
I create a safe and accepting space for you to be yourself, openly share your thoughts, feelings and challenges as well as your goals, hopes and dreams. Life is stressful and difficult to navigate your way through on your own, and I will be there for you unconditionally; to support you, to encourage you, and to assist you in learning how to to let go of the struggles, the past hurts and regrets, the things that are holding you back from living the full and meaningful life you were meant to live. I will teach you the skills most were never taught that allow you to live that life.
I provide tools, techniques and strategies designed to unhook you from your busy mind, and all its stories it tells you that are upsetting, triggering and disempowering.
When you learn how to unhook and let go of disempowering thoughts and realign back into the present moment, back to the YOU you truly are, you step into your power, as the present moment is where you make conscious choices in how you want to be and show up in the world, instead of letting your thoughts and uncomfortable feelings make that choices for you.
I have lived a life much like most of my clients. I have experienced hardships and achievements, sadness and joy, and disappointment in myself and in others. For most of my life, I have been lucky enough to somehow “figure it out” on my own. At one point in my life, I made a commitment to myself that no one should have to “figure it out” on their own. We all need to have someone who is committed to helping us out when we are at our most vulnerable.
I’m a builder by nature—flexible but relentlessly committed to helping you move from stuck to steady progress. My style is laid back but no-nonsense because therapy has to be functional for you. With years of experience, I’ve learned certain things are true for everyone – we all want to feel the stability the comes with owning our circumstances and achieving our goals. You’ll learn to trust your problem-solving skills because I’ll show you how to assess the situation, identify the steps you need to take and see real, meaningful change. Will there be unexpected twists and turns in the process? Absolutely but you’ll be fine because you’ve got a plan as unique as you are. Let’s talk about it!
I am a solo single mother, solo private practice owner, and licensed clinical social worker – certified (LCSW-C), with more than 20 years of experience in the Mental Health Field working with a variety of mental and emotional issues such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, anger and stress management, childhood/adolescent developmental stressors, and life transitional stages.
The remarkable moments and the the difficult ones ( in some obvious ways or in subtle ways that sometimes sneak up on us) can cause us to go through life merely surviving or struggling, often feeling alone. It doesn't stop there. Often the life and soul work is also challenging (but rewarding process) , that can make you feel alone too!
My role is to fill in that gap. You do not need to be alone. The work should be experienced in a safe, loving, and understanding environment. As a holder of your pain, your hope, and your light, let me stand by your side and empower you to face obstacles and challenges. Let us go beyond surviving this life, but healing our hearts and mind so we can love and enjoy the moments we have right now, the best we can.
Hi
I am Asia, but not like the continent. Think Aseeyah!
I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) based in Maryland I received my Masters in Clinical Psychology from Loyola University Maryland, and my MBA from UMGC. I have been practicing for 6 years and have been in the mental health field for over 14 years.
I am also a Goodwill Career Coach and Navigator.
I help those in transition figure out how to live their best and fabulous lives. I would love the opportunity to do the same for you.
I believe therapy works best when it feels human, safe, and real. I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who enjoys walking alongside people as they sort through life’s challenges and begin to understand themselves more clearly. Many of the individuals I work with feel anxious, stuck, disconnected, or unsure of their direction. My role is to help you slow down, gain insight, and move forward with greater clarity and confidence.
My work is grounded in Internal Family Systems (IFS), Gestalt therapy, and Bowen’s concept of differentiation. In simple terms, that means we explore your thoughts, emotions, and patterns with curiosity rather than judgment. We look at the different “parts” of you that may be in conflict and help you develop the ability to stay true to yourself while staying connected to others. Over time, this often leads to healthier boundaries, stronger relationships, and a deeper sense of balance.
I value honest conversation and believe meaningful growth comes from awareness paired with action. Therapy with me is collaborative and compassionate, but also practical. I want you to leave sessions with insight you can actually apply in your daily life.
On a personal note, I’m married and a proud father of four adult children. I enjoy traveling, spending time on the golf course, and continuing to grow both personally and professionally. I believe growth doesn’t stop at any stage of life, and I try to live that belief myself.
If you’re ready to understand yourself more fully and create lasting change, I’d be honored to support you in that process.

I hold a doctorate (Ph.D.) in Psychology and a Master's in clinical social work. I am licensed as a clinical social worker in Florida, Maryland, Nevada, Virginia and South Carolina with 37 years of professional work experience. I have experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, coping with addictions, relationship issues, & family conflicts. I have authored two books (Bad Therapy Good Therapy: And How to Tell the Difference; and Grow Up, America!); five booklets; and thousands of articles, as well as a self-help column, "Life's a Beach," published in Gannett newspapers since 2005. My primary goal is to help you help yourself. I will guide and coach you, not tell you what to do. We'll reason and think our way to what makes sense together.
Hello! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have been in private practice for the past two years. However, my clinical experience goes far beyond that. I have worked in an inpatient setting, as well as along side of victims of domestic abuse. I love working with teen and women specifically. I have done a good bit of family therapy as well as crisis intervention in my previous clinical work. I feel passionate about empowering my clients and meeting them where they are in their journey toward meeting their own personal goals.
