I believe healing begins by creating a safe and sacred space where individuals can fully reconnect with their authentic selves. I have nearly a decade of clinical experience and specialize in helping clients heal attachment wounds, navigate complex emotions, and reclaim their inner strength after trauma, grief, or significant life transitions. My therapeutic approach blends depth-oriented psychotherapy, trauma-informed care, and mind-body awareness, recognizing that true healing must involve both the emotional and the unconscious layers of experience. My style is warm but direct, and I strive to offer my clients a steady hand as they learn to navigate their inner world with greater self-trust, self-compassion, and emotional resilience. I work especially well with clients who feel “stuck” between who they once were and who they are becoming — offering the insight, patience, and guidance needed for profound transformation.

I’m excited to get to know you better! In the meantime, here’s a little about me, and my professional experience and training. I think one of the biggest challenges, after taking that first brave step of reaching out, is to find a good therapist that you connect with. In my twenty-plus years of experience, the therapeutic relationship is the principal reason that therapy “works” or “doesn’t work.” My therapeutic style focuses on first developing a strong therapeutic alliance in which you feel emotionally safe and heard without judgment. You’ve already come to the conclusion that something in your life is not working, and my task is to help you to identify the ways in which you’d like things to be different. From there, together we can create realistic, achievable goals that support those changes and move you toward the life that you deserve. I have a large repertoire of strategies and interventions, which include cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness practices, and motivational interviewing. Producing insights, strategies, and tools that you can use immediately is the goal of every interaction. I have extensive experience in trauma, anxiety, relationship issues (adult as well as parent-child), substance abuse, and co-occurring disorders. I have found that many people experiencing trauma or anxiety are helped by a combination of mindfulness and cognitive behavioral therapy. This teaches them how to tolerate their intense feelings and how to reframe unhelpful thought patterns that keep them stuck. On a personal note, I have been a LMFT since 1997 and have worked with a variety of clients in many different settings. I work Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Friday mornings. My latest appointment is 4:00PM ET When I’m not helping people, I can usually be found on the golf course. I look forward to helping you to make the changes you desire.

Have you tried therapy but just didn’t get anywhere? New to therapy and not sure what to look for? Have a great life but feeling unfulfilled, having trouble navigating important relationships, or experiencing strong feelings that seem to come out of nowhere? I’ve worked with clients to explore these and similar issues in the many years I’ve provided therapy. I have an uncanny ability to gently and compassionately challenge what may be happening, often leading to insight and a new found ability to make real and lasting changes so you can focus on what matters most to you: your family, your education, your career, your mental well-being. Whether you are dealing with Relationship/friendship issues, parenting challenges, workplace issues or unresolved conflicts, I listen with an understanding ear. I help people address intense anxiety, ADHD, and mild depression even when most components in life seem to be going quite well. Sometimes things aren’t working because, well, they’re not working. My clients include people from various backgrounds and situations, from intact families to those estranged or low/no contact in family status. I see clients employed as teachers, nurses, research scientists, a dentist, a CEO, an HR executive, a cheese monger, both new and seasoned “stay-at-home” care-givers and many people studying in college, graduate programs, or obtaining post-graduate degrees. Whoever you are, from whatever background, I listen intently to your story and can help bring awareness into what may be obstacles to living a peaceful, serene, healthy life. As different as people are, I have discovered that some of our patterns and dynamics are very much the same. You don’t have to carry your emotional pain all on your own. I can help.

When the burdens of our circumstances, relationships, or daily lives, in general, begin to weigh on our shoulders, finding help in a safe, therapeutic, non-judgmental space can begin to ease our heavy loads. My name is Caitlin Pierce, and I'm a licensed marriage and family therapist with 15 years in the field. I have spent the bulk of my career working with families and individuals in both office and in-home settings. I have a history of training and practice in trauma-focused counseling, relationships (family, marriage, parenting), stress/anxiety management, and I also am a certified personal trainer and nutrition specialist. With this specialization, I can support wellness and health-related concerns such as self-esteem, body image, and making lifestyle changes like stress-reduction or shifting priorities. My favorite part of being a counselor is watching the people I work with begin to see a new "story" emerge or a shift in thinking around their presented problems. I like to help clients unlock the parts of their minds that remain stuck in a particular way of thinking or feeling that keeps them from feeling their best. I believe that all of us are capable of change, whether we're 18 or 85, and with healthy support and guidance, there is hope to feel better. I aim to bring my clients a conversational, personal, and humanistic counseling style. I look forward to working together!

Hello and welcome! I'm Jane. I'm glad you're here, and I'd like to tell you a little about myself. First though, I'd like to acknowledge you've taken the first step towards bettering your mental health because, let's be honest - starting therapy can be empowering, confusing, or scary, all at the same time. This is a big step. I strive to create a safe and welcoming environment that allows clients to explore obstacles with concerns related to anxiety, depression, and self-worth. I focus on helping clients develop new, more positive narratives about themselves that accurately reflect who they are. Our narratives are informed by our past, our childhood, our experiences, our internal and external environments, but sometimes, they can become twisted and inaccurate. So much pain can stem from this. I am here to help you develop your own narrative. Therapy can foster personal development in whatever way you may be seeking and help build the life you so deeply deserve. If that's what you're looking for, I'm here when you're ready to share. We will work as a team. I am a psychologist with ten years of experience working with a diverse range of clients. I received my doctorate from William James College. I've been I work with clients struggling with depression and anxiety, among other issues. My approach is collaborative and strength-based. I see therapy as a team effort, with the client-clinician relationship being one of the most effective tools in treatment. You'll find me to be empathic and genuine, and a little off beat. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the states of Arizona and Indiana. I received a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Purdue University and a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Christian Theological Seminary. I have had the opportunity to work in and gain knowledge from a diverse collection of settings that include elementary, middle and high school, hospital chaplaincy department, private practice and private agencies working with families in the child welfare system. Each of these settings has provided me with hands-on experience working with individuals and families in crisis, as well as those who are faced with navigating some of life’s challenges such as divorce, loss, and addiction. As a Marriage and Family Therapist, I love a systems approach, understanding that we do not exist in a vacuum, but rather are part of larger systems. I take a non-judgmental, warm approach to therapy and I believe in tailoring my therapy towards my client's individual needs. Together we will establish goals and design a path towards a healthier way of being. I draw from a multitude of therapeutic techniques that include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solutions Focused Therapy. Clients who work with me have a desire to change. Whether facing everyday challenges that are holding them back from living a fulfilling life or struggling with family dynamics that have caused distress or trying to navigate through grief, my clients can learn to use their insight to find new ways of functioning that better serve what they want from this life. My clients can see a future for themselves that brings peace, happiness and healing. The first step towards seeking help is often the most difficult. My name is Nadine Thompson, and I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the states of Rhode Island and Massachusetts. I earned my Master of Social Work degree, specializing in Clinical Practice, from Smith College School of Social Work in 1991. I also have post-graduate certification in Addiction counseling, multicultural practice, DBT, and Couples and Family Therapy. I've worked in many different settings with individuals and families who have a variety of personal issues such as depression/anxiety, stress, family problems, trauma/abuse, addiction, relationships/parenting, and more. Over the past 30 years as a clinician, my experience has taught me that the most important aspect of counseling by far is the rapport, connection, and comfort you feel with your therapist. Recently, I have come to really see the value in being able "to hold space" for clients to express their deepest feelings and possibly find the answers and direction that they need as they become more self-aware. We all want to be able to share our personal truths and be accepted and understood. I believe in the power of “telling our stories”, as a pathway to healing and resilience. Our work together may include you being able to see yourself and those around you more clearly and develop tools and strategies for creating change in your life.

Hello, I’m Carolyn, a Licensed Clinical Independent Social Worker (LICSW) at Grow Therapy. I’m so glad you’re here. Reaching out for support—whether starting therapy for the first time or finding a new therapist—can feel like a big step. My goal is to create a safe, compassionate, and nonjudgmental space where you feel comfortable, supported, and truly heard. I work collaboratively with my clients to explore what brings you to therapy and to identify meaningful goals we can work toward together. I strive to meet you where you are and support you at your own pace throughout the process. One of the most meaningful compliments I’ve received was from a client who shared that I made them feel “so special.” That reflects the heart of my approach—I lead with compassion and aim to help each person feel valued, supported, and understood, especially during difficult times. You may also occasionally see my Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Chloe, who sometimes joins sessions to provide a little extra comfort. You are not alone. I’m here to support you, and I look forward to meeting you and walking alongside you on your journey toward healing.

Motherhood is a profound journey marked by both beauty and upheaval. Whether your path to this moment has been long-anticipated or unexpected, the transition into motherhood often brings a whirlwind of emotions. Anxiety and depression during pregnancy and the postpartum period are more common than many realize, with maternal depression being the leading complication of childbirth. The shift from your pre-motherhood identity to caring for a newborn can be one of the toughest transitions you’ll ever experience. As a dedicated mental health professional, I am passionate about supporting individuals through some of life's most significant and challenging transitions. I offer various approaches, including talk therapy, art therapy, mindfulness and meditation practices, and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART). These methods are designed to help you express your feelings, redefine your identity, and find a sense of balance and well-being in this new chapter of your life.

The specialty filter is optional. You don’t need to check any boxes to see a provider. However, fit is very important when selecting an online therapist. If you have knowledge or experience to recognize what specialties you may need.

Finding a provider with a similar life experience can be beneficial because it can be easier to establish rapport and potentially be understood quicker and clearer.

Your first therapy session is for you and your therapist to meet each other and to ask any questions that you have about the counseling process. This is where you can expect your therapist to do the same as they will ask questions to gain insight into your specific situation. In this first session the therapist is doing their part to gather as much information so they can better assess if they are able to meet your therapeutic needs. Depending upon your provider's specialty, you may also discuss the methods the therapist will use. For additional information on therapy methods, please visit the Grow Therapy Help Center. Some people feel nervous before their first appointment, and that is totally normal! Coming prepared with a list of questions for your therapist may help. Remember, you're taking a brave step by seeking therapy, and it is okay to be nervous as you try something new.
