Hi! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in MA and NH . I have a master's degree from Boston University and have been working in the mental health field for 17 years. I have experience working in Homelessness/Transitional housing for Women and the unification of their children, Partial and Inpatient Psychiatric Hospitalization (individual and group therapy and case management ), Crisis Intervention, Palliative and Hospice Care, and providing individual and couples counseling with a virtual behavioral health organization as well as in private practice.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, we will start with getting to know each other, delve into your history (personal/family , medical, mental health, substance use, work/education) and then we will look at the issues that are most pressing to you currently. We will then identify your goals for therapy and this will help me tailor a plan for follow up sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Having worked many years in the field of mental health, I have seen the benefit of creating a trusting relationship of positive unconditional regard and thereby helping clients to navigate the challenges they face and equip them with the skills they need to improve their lives.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Over 5 years experience treating clients via behavioral virtual health using CBT techniques by identifying common thinking issues and applying adaptive techniques coupled with using behavioral strategies

Motivational Interviewing

I have used this approach for many years with clients seeking change in their lives but question having the ability or strength to do so. . MI is a collaborative , goal oriented therapeutic approach and is helpful when ambivalence is high and confidence is low.

Positive Psychology

I use Positive Psychology to help people identify quality of life, happiness, gratitude, resilience, positive traits, interests and how this applies to physical health
