My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Although I like to tailor sessions to fit the need of the individual client, CBT is the most commonly used treatment method in which negative patterns of thought about the self and the world are challenged in order to alter unwanted behavior patterns or treat mood disorders such as depression and anxiety.

Marvia is an amazing therapist. She truly listens to everything I’m going through and makes me feel heard and understood. I’m so grateful I found someone who genuinely cares and takes the time to support me.I always look forward to our sessions because she gives me hope that things will get better. She encourages me, helps me see my strength, and reminds me that it’s okay to take things one day at a time. Because of her, I’m starting to believe that I can heal and feel good about myself again.

Marvia is an excellent therapist that really takes the time to listen and lean into what you are sharing. Each session is unique but yet builds off of previous sessions. I look forward to my sessions and highly recommend Marvia if you are looking for a therapist that goes over and above!
