Stop. Unclench your jaw. Relax your shoulders. Breath. My practice is focused on decreasing negative mental health symptoms through a mind and body approach. My work relies on mindfulness and somatic practices that support clients of all ages. Mindfulness as a practice with children and adults supports emotional regulation and decreases anxiety. The intervention serves as a means to decrease impulsive behavior and reduce stress and anxiety. For children and adults with ADHD the practice can be effective in increasing attention and focus through the use of the senses, movement, and breath. Somatic practices can relieve symptoms caused by trauma and PTSD symptoms and anxiety and stress reduction. These interventions support emotional regulation and depressive symptoms by restoring movement and breath flow.

Having worked in myriad settings already since getting my LSW in 2018, and having been in helping professions since age 19, the reason I still love this line of work is due to the change one can bring to people's Worlds, in a way they may have never thought possible. Hey, I’m Nicole! I’m passionate about creating a safe, supportive space where you can feel seen, understood, and empowered to grow. My therapeutic style is both straightforward and compassionate. I believe in being honest and clear while approaching each person with warmth, empathy, and respect for their unique experiences. I draw from a variety of therapeutic approaches, including a Christian worldview, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Narrative Therapy, and Brainspotting. I tailor each session to your individual needs, recognizing that healing is not a one-size-fits-all process. Whether you’re navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, neurodivergence, or life transitions, I’ll walk alongside you as we identify your strengths, develop coping strategies, and explore new possibilities for your story. I believe meaningful growth begins when you feel safe enough to be yourself. My goal is to help you recognize patterns, build resilience, and develop tools to navigate life’s challenges with greater confidence. Therapy is a collaborative process, and I strive to create an environment where you feel supported while also being encouraged to grow. Outside of work, I would describe myself as a Type B personality. I’m laid-back, flexible, and approachable, and I value finding balance amid life’s demands. I love spending time with my golden retriever and appreciating the little things that bring joy to everyday life. One of my favorite places to recharge is the beach. I find something deeply healing about the sound of the waves, the openness of the shoreline, and the reminder that life moves in seasons. For me, the beach represents peace, reflection, and the opportunity to begin again. You don’t have to have everything figured out before starting therapy. You are welcome to show up exactly as you are!

Do you often feel overwhelmed with life? Or do you feel that something from your past is keeping you stuck? I can help with anxiety, depression, past trauma, negative self talk, relationship issues and more. I have found great success with walking along side the people I work with to help them move from where they are to where they want to be…wherever that might be! I’m nonjudgmental and accepting of all walks of life- LGBTQIA+ individuals are welcome. I didn’t get into therapy to “fix” people, I use my practice to guide and help find new ways of doing or looking at things. I love being able to track the progress my clients make when they utilize the skills we’ve talked about in session. I use a mix of Motivational Interviewing and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for most cases. For those suffering from PTSD, I use my Certified Clinical Trauma Professional training which includes somatic (body) work along with narrative work, all of which is grounded in the neuroscience of trauma. I have my Perinatal Mental Health Certificate as well, meaning I am aptly trained to help with anyone transitioning into new parenthood. I’m not overly concerned with labels and diagnoses, I’m just here to help you make changes to function and feel better day to day. If you think my approach sounds like it would help you, please reach out and we can schedule our first session to determine if we’ll be a good fit to work together moving forward. I am Becky Hunt, and I have had my LCSW for the past 7 years. I have been practicing for 13 years, 6 of those in community mental health and 7 of those in my own private practice. I feel as if becoming a therapist is a calling for me. Having grown up with significant anxiety symptoms, an OCD diagnosis, and some painful eating-disorder issues have created in me an overwhelming desire to help others navigate through this tough world. I am not unfamiliar with conflict and how uncomfortable it can be for some and have found ways to be bold and assertive despite the discomfort and pain. I have a faith that helps me gain insight and perspective on a daily basis and love helping others with some of the same principals and beliefs that strengthen me. I also like to laugh, when I can, about the absurdities of life; I believe is humor is an often overlooked coping skill.

Welcome. As a board-certified Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a decade of professional experience, I have chosen to dedicate a large portion of my practice to the unique needs of older adults as evidenced by my completion of the Mental Health and Aging Level 1 Certificate through the Center for Mental Health and Aging. I deeply respect the decision to seek guidance during significant life changes. My expertise is focused on helping clients successfully manage the challenges that often come with aging, including adjusting to retirement, coping with the loss of loved ones, navigating health diagnoses, managing difficult family dynamics, and finding strategies for better sleep and reduced worry. I also treat adults 18 and older who are experiencing relational stressors, life transitions, grief and loss, anxiety, depression, and insomnia.

My name is Nichole Epperson, but I go by Nicki. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Indiana and the owner of Transcendence Mental Health, LLC. I have over 10 years of experience providing mental health services to individuals and families struggling with emotional, behavioral, and psychiatric symptoms. I earned my Bachelor's Degree in 2015 then went on to obtain my Master's Degree in the field of Social Work at the University of Southern Indiana. I have gained experience in the field by networking with numerous community outreach programs and other community mental health programs. With this being said, I have also become gravely aware of the mental health crisis affecting our community. The goal of Transcendence Mental Health, LLC is to help combat this crisis and help those in our community rise above these obstacles by providing specialized therapeutic services with the understanding that you are the author to your own story, and your story is not over yet!

Anxious? Worried all the time? Having panic attacks? Well, you're not alone and I can help! In recent years, anxiety has become one of the most common mental health concerns out there and it can leave you distracted, breathless, overwhelmed and feeling out of control. Symptoms of general anxiety, panic disorders, health anxiety, OCD and PTSD can be difficult to navigate, especially when you feel alone and don't know where to start. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, a Licensed Clinical Addictions Counselor, and a Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional. I have been in the counseling field for almost 30 years. I've worked in private practice throughout that time but have also worked in the criminal justice and community mental health settings, helping people with anxiety, depression, and addictions. I work primarily with adults using cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and solution-focused therapy. I like helping people learn the neuroscience behind anxiety and build skills to manage it better. I love seeing people take back some of the power they feel they've lost to anxiety or helping them see the light at the end of the tunnel in depression or addiction. Taking the first step is one of the hardest, but things can feel better for you.

I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has spent over 20 years working in community mental health, crisis intervention, and private practice. That experience has given me a deep understanding of what people actually need to feel better — not just textbook answers, but real, practical support that meets you where you are. You'll work with someone who has seen a lot, judges nothing, and genuinely believes in your capacity to heal.

You may be trying to keep things together while feeling anxious, down, emotionally exhausted, or unsure how to get back to feeling like yourself. Maybe past experiences are still affecting you, relationships have become difficult to navigate, or you're struggling to understand why you keep reacting in ways you don't want to. For teens, this can look like withdrawing, feeling misunderstood, struggling at school, or having emotions that feel difficult to manage. For parents, it may mean trying to support your child while also feeling unsure of what to do next. I work with those navigating depression, anxiety, trauma, and relationships. I have been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker for many years with a variety of work experiences including; Inpatient Psychiatric Social Work, individual and group therapy in Addiction treatment, and high school counseling with teens and parents.

The specialty filter is optional. You don’t need to check any boxes to see a provider. However, fit is very important when selecting an online therapist. If you have knowledge or experience to recognize what specialties you may need.

Your first therapy session is for you and your therapist to meet each other and to ask any questions that you have about the counseling process. This is where you can expect your therapist to do the same as they will ask questions to gain insight into your specific situation. In this first session the therapist is doing their part to gather as much information so they can better assess if they are able to meet your therapeutic needs. Depending upon your provider's specialty, you may also discuss the methods the therapist will use. For additional information on therapy methods, please visit the Grow Therapy Help Center. Some people feel nervous before their first appointment, and that is totally normal! Coming prepared with a list of questions for your therapist may help. Remember, you're taking a brave step by seeking therapy, and it is okay to be nervous as you try something new.
