LCSW, 7 years of experience
Having worked in myriad settings already since getting my LSW in 2018, having worked in helping professions since age 19. The reason I still love this line of work is due to the change one can bring to people's Worlds, in a way they may have never thought possible. I am client-centered and focused on making it so my clients don't need therapy anymore, by freeing them of mental maladies that many internalize instead.
During initial sessions, not necessary just the first, I always give clients the opportunity to build rapport and tell their story, as unveiling ones issues can truly be daunting for those new to therapy at all or returning to therapy once more. Expect to be listened to.
Through holding people to account and utilizing strong Evidence-based practices in my work, I have aided hundreds of individuals in ridding themselves of curable disorders such as PTSD, Depression, Anxiety and more. I focus on teaching people things that work, while making sure it works for them specifically.
A client willing to learn and to be held to account will work best with my therapeutic style, though ambivalent individuals will be guided and treated with person-centered kindness all the same. If you want change, let's find out what that means for you.
CBT has been the primary EBP modality that I have utilized since graduation, due to its degree of efficacy and client-centered accountability.
Having received my certification for TF-CBT in 2019, it has become the primary modality utilizing CBT techniques I have used to aide dozens of individuals through traumas both great and small.
Nearly all therapeutic needs at times require aide from family, be it directly or indirectly, and I have utilized Family Therapy to great effect during my years of practice.
Though I am newer in my the utilization of ACT (2 years), its concepts coincide well with other practice modalities I utilize, and aide individuals when CBT at times bewilders.
