Hello there! My name is Carrie and I’m an LCPC from the state of Illinois. I’ve been working with kids and families for over 17 years. Kids love me because I’m weird, I don’t take life too seriously and I love to have fun! Parents love me because I’m real, I’m supportive and I understand that life happens sometimes. I believe that kids are pretty much perfect but the world gets in the way sometimes. I’m good at helping bring back the balance. I’d love to help if I can!
I’m a collaborative therapist who believes therapy works best when it feels like a partnership. You’re the expert on your life — I bring tools, perspective, and support — and together we figure out what helps you move forward.
I work a lot with trauma, depression, and anxiety, and I know how heavy those experiences can feel. Whether you’re overwhelmed, stuck in negative patterns, carrying past pain, or just exhausted from holding it all together, therapy can be a place where you don’t have to do that alone. We go at your pace, and we focus on what actually feels useful to you.
My approach blends CBT, DBT, and EMDR, along with other strategies depending on your needs. Some days that might look like learning concrete coping skills, other days it might mean processing deeper experiences, or just having a space to untangle what’s going on. I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all model — therapy should fit you.
I’m also a strong LGBTQI+ affirming ally and am committed to creating a space that is safe, inclusive, and judgment-free. All parts of you are welcome here.
My goal is to help you better understand yourself, build tools that actually work in real life, and feel more steady, confident, and in control of where your life is headed.

Hi there, I'm Ashley.
Have you been feeling anxious, depressed, or stressed? Are you struggling to manage a physical condition and accept the impacts these struggles have on you and your relationships?
I help support individuals with emotional challenges as well as those dealing with acute and chronic physical pain/illness/injuries. Together, we can work towards accepting these difficulties and identifying effective coping skills, which will help in healing and regaining a sense of hope.
Evidence-based therapies I utilize include CBT, DBT, ACT, and MBSR depending on your unique needs and goals.
If you're dealing with anxiety, stress, sadness, loneliness, and the many difficulties that accompany physical pain/illness, I'm here to help. Seeking therapy can feel scary and overwhelming; yet is also a courageous step. I offer a safe, compassionate, non-judgmental space for you to heal and grow. I look forward to working with you and helping you to achieve your goals.
I work with clients who are struggling with grief, anxiety, depression or trauma. I also work with clients who may need assistance in processing everyday life stressors and want a supportive therapist whom they can confide in who will also challenge them and assist with problem-solving.
I also work with those facing reproductive challenges. As a compassionate and empathetic therapist, I understand the complex emotional and psychological impact that infertility and miscarriage can have. I can:
• Support you in maintaining hope, peace and positivity while navigating uncertainty and help you build resiliency as you work through obstacles.
• Help you to recognize and access your deeper intuition, so you are better equipped to honor your body, spirit and mind with the highest intention throughout your journey.
• Work with you on increasing clarity and purpose around your fertility journey.
• Utilize a holistic approach to address integrative lifestyle strategies that may be beneficial to your fertility path.
• Assist you in addressing relationship difficulties that can arise out of the stress of fertility challenges, help you develop strategies to increase intimacy with your partner and foster healthy communication.
For women and men who have experienced reproductive loss:
• The devastating and seemingly invisible pain of losing a pregnancy is unique in that it involves not only the loss of your baby, but also involves the loss of the future - and there is no accepted way to mark that loss. Sometimes it seems that friends and family members expect the person to move on quickly. Partners often grieve differently - and for men, the trauma of miscarriage is often overlooked. Also, some women may suffer guilt or shame associated with the loss that doesn't tend to occur with other types of grieving.
• There is no universal template for grief. Together, we will address your unique needs as you work through your grieving process.
I have worked in the mental health field for over 8 years learning skills to pass on to clients. My goal is to help clients create plans to succeed on their journey. Together we can find the obstacles that stand in front of you and work to overcome them. I strive to help clients find the “why” behind their actions and help them see what is helping and what needs to change to succeed.
