LCSW, 20 years of experience
With a BA from Tulane University and an MSW from the University of Illinois-Chicago, I have been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) since 2000. My professional journey has been deeply rewarding, focusing on supporting individuals facing chronic illness, hospice care, depression, and anxiety. I utilize a strength-based approach combined with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to empower my clients. Throughout my career, I have developed a special affinity for working with older adults. My experience at Lutheran General Hospital and Alexian Brothers Medical Center, where I worked in case management and geropsychiatry, has honed my skills in addressing the unique challenges faced by this population. My passion lies in helping my clients navigate the complexities of loss and life transitions. I am committed to providing compassionate and effective psychotherapy, tailored to meet the unique needs of each individual.
In our first session, I will ask you about your goals and what specifically you would like to work on in therapy. Then together we will come up with a plan.
I know my clients have told me that they like having an objective person to share their issues with and that they appreciate my supportive and empathic personality. I am a good listener and will be honest with you about your concerns and goals.
I have spent a majority of my career working with older adults and addressing many of the issues that include loss of independence, illness, depression and anxiety. I also enjoying working with young adults to discuss you challenges in the workplace, parenting issues, caring for your older parents, and relationship issues.

Lauren is authentic, compassionate, solution-oriented, empathetic, present and flexible (just to name a few). She makes me feel comfortable to share my innermost thoughts, confident that I can attack them head on, and truly takes the time to hear and see me. She makes herself readily available in times of need and is flexible if I ever need to reschedule. I’ve had several therapists, but Lauren is the most genuine and knowledgeable one I’ve had. I can’t recommend her enough!

Lauren is the most empathetic, authentic therapist I’ve ever worked with. Her presence creates a rare, judgment-free space where I felt safe opening up in ways I never had before. Her thoughtful guidance helped me understand and shift lifelong patterns. I’m in a healthier, more grounded place because of our work together. She’s not only an exceptional therapist—she’s a truly extraordinary person.
Sometimes we are our own worst enemy. I will help you problem solve relationship issues with colleagues, friends, and partners. I will challenge your thoughts and give you other ways to look at situations in a safe setting.
