Do you feel like you’ve lost the version of yourself that used to trust your own instincts? Are you exhausted from walking on eggshells?" I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) and Certified Alcohol and Other Drug Counselor (CADC) specializing in Trauma and PTSD, Narcissistic Abuse Recovery, and High-Conflict Relationships. With over 20 years of experience, I help adults navigate the 'invisible' wounds of emotional neglect and toxic dynamics—whether the source is a partner, parent, or friend. Using a blend of Adlerian insight and CBT tools, I specialize in helping you exit 'survival mode' and reclaim your reality. My background in treating complex trauma, chronic mental health, and co-occurring substance use allows me to see the full picture of your experience. By exploring the early patterns and survival scripts that may keep you feeling 'stuck,' I provide a safe, non-judgmental space to deconstruct gaslighting, process the unique grief of these relationships, and build unshakeable boundaries. I am currently deepening my expertise with a specialized certification in Narcissistic Abuse Recovery to ensure you have the most effective, trauma-informed tools available to rebuild a life that is entirely yours.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
Healing begins with being heard. Our first session is a structured yet warm space for a brief introduction and intake, but the core of our time is dedicated to your story. We will identify the specific challenges you are facing and begin to outline a roadmap for your restoration—focusing on the mind, body, and spirit. Using a blend of deep insight and practical CBT tools, we will work together to help you find the clarity to see the truth again.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
20+ Years of Trauma Expertise. I have spent two decades helping clients transcend high-stress environments and traumatic experiences, including those involving the legal system and incarceration. This has given me a "no-nonsense" yet deeply empathic lens. My dual-certification as a CADC means I can help you navigate not just the emotional wounds of abuse, but also any addictive or self-sabotaging patterns that may have developed as a way to cope with the "fog."
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I work best with adults who are ready to move from 'survival mode' to a state of true restoration. If you are struggling with the invisible wounds of emotional neglect, trying to break free from a cycle of narcissistic abuse, or looking to overcome the anxiety and 'stuckness' that follows toxic dynamics, I am here to partner with you. My ideal client is someone seeking to understand the deep-rooted patterns of their past while gaining practical, evidence-based tools to change their present. Together, we will work to deconstruct the scripts someone else wrote for you and ensure your thoughts, boundaries, and perceptions are once again your own."
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
While I am primarily trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you manage the immediate symptoms of anxiety and trauma, I am Adlerian at heart. This means our work is a blend of 'the why' and 'the how.' Through an Adlerian lens, we look at your 'Style of Life'—how your early experiences and family dynamics shaped your view of yourself and your place in the world. This is essential for understanding why you may feel 'stuck' in certain relationship patterns or cycles of emotional abuse. Once we understand those roots, we use the CBT toolkit to challenge the scripts someone else wrote for you. We work on practical strategies to reframe your thoughts, set unshakeable boundaries, and reclaim your autonomy. My goal is to provide a therapy experience that is as deep as it is practical.
Adlerian
Adlerian-Integrated CBT Healing from emotional abuse requires both understanding the past and changing the present. Using an Adlerian-integrated CBT approach, I help you deconstruct the 'family constellation' and childhood patterns that influence your current relationships. We then work to replace 'unhelpful' thinking and survival behaviors with empowered choices, helping you restore your self-esteem and sense of belonging.
Trauma Informed Care
My practice is rooted in Trauma-Informed Care, which means your emotional safety is my first priority. I understand that healing from narcissistic and emotional abuse requires a specialized lens that recognizes the 'invisible' wounds of trauma. Together, we work at a pace that feels secure for you, focusing on rebuilding your sense of control, choice, and autonomy while ensuring you never feel re-traumatized by the therapeutic process.

Kim is phenomenal. I have been seeing her for over a year. I have truly learned about myself and how to handle and cope with situations from a different perspective and mind frame (which has been a game changer). I feel safe with Kim which also very important to me.

Reached out because I thought I needed to deal with grief but we were able to explore other pain points occurring. Kimberly is extremely smart, open minded and provides a safe space to communicate. This is truly her calling .
