I have 10 years of experience working with older adults, both men and women with providing psychotherapy. My therapeutic approach is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Mind over mood. I believe that everyone can change & grow at any time in their lives. I don't believe that there is a limit to human capacity. Together we will work to regain a sense of normalcy in the lives of those who I serve.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
I think the main reason we develop mental health issues is because they are unhealthy learned behaviors that we have picked up along the way. Which means that I think you can unlearn the faulty behaviors and replace them with healthy ones. During our session we will explore healthy coping mechanisms.

My ideal client would be someone who is open to change and willing to view different perspectives which allows for them to envision change is possible. A client who is willing to do the work and not expect change to happen simply because they show up to appointments. Mind over Mood makes change possible and restores power to the individual.
