I am a compassionate and client-centered therapist who is dedicated to helping individuals navigate challenges related to depression, anxiety, and trauma. My approach to therapy is collaborative, supportive, and grounded in evidence-based practices that empower clients to better understand their experiences, build resilience, and create meaningful change in their lives. I integrate several therapeutic modalities in my work, including Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and mindfulness-based approaches. Through these methods, I help clients identify and challenge unhelpful or “stuck” beliefs related to past experiences, strengthen personal motivation for growth, and develop greater awareness of thoughts, emotions, and behaviors in the present moment. My goal is to create a safe, respectful, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard and supported as they explore difficult emotions and experiences. Together, we work to develop practical coping skills, improve emotional regulation, and cultivate healthier perspectives that support long-term well-being. I particularly enjoy working with individuals who are navigating trauma, stress, life transitions, and mood or anxiety-related concerns. Whether you are seeking to process past experiences, manage overwhelming emotions, or build new coping strategies, therapy can be a powerful step toward healing and personal growth.

I've been a mental health counselor longer than I was a person and when I discovered such I realized how to turn my life journey and passion for wellness and identity into a way of helping others find meaning, relief, and direction during life transitions and challenges. I am a psychotherapist and wellness expert who enjoys being a support and open ear for those in need of a safe space and change within their lives. With a diverse background in providing therapy and counseling services, I like to start with meeting you where you are at and seeing the path that you desire. I enjoy helping you find ways and strategies that support movement towards your goals or healing. I have a bag of tricks and skills to offer if that is what is necessary. I'd rather connect as persons navigating this big thing called 'life' by offering perspective through a lens of individualized strengths, personality preferences (e.g. MBTI), emotional regulation/stress management, and the dimensions of wellness.

Hello, I am Shaqueena. Are you tired of being tired? Do you feel that no one understands your situation or that no one can relate? Are you unsure if therapy is right for you? If you are here, then that means that you are ready and motivated to make some changes in your life. Seeking help can sometimes be tough, which is why I believe that we all experience things in our life that goes beyond our ability to cope and when that happens we need a little more assistance. As a licensed professional counselor, my ultimate goal is to first normalize seeking assistance by decreasing the stigma on mental health. In doing so, my goal is to assist individuals in their healing process, to empower individuals to become the best version of themselves and to help individuals to see that life is completely what you make it. I am a master’s level licensed clinical mental health counselor (LMHC), (LPC) and credentialed SUD Counselor (CASAC-A) (CADC II) with training and expertise in both Cognitive Behavior Therapy as well as psychodynamic treatment. I work with young adults and adults and have expertise in treating patients with depression, anxiety, PTSD, compulsive, addictive behaviors and domestic violence. I have specialized training in various evidence-based treatments for trauma such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). I hope to help patients learn effective ways to cope with stress, manage difficult emotions and communicate well with others. We have all acquired ways of coping that get in the way of our development, and manifest as emotional pain, such as anxiety and depression. I work with clients to identify and reduce these painful symptoms. Clients are then freer to use their energy in pursuit of their goals. I work with young, midlife, and older adults. I develop a safe and collaborative relationship with clients. In that context, I do short and long-term psychotherapy and train clients to use specific protocols to modify symptoms that are in the way of personal and professional functioning. My approach provides support, guidance, and education to help you become the best version of yourself and work towards achieving your goals. I consider it an honor to work alongside you, and I look forward to meeting you soon.

My favorite book of all time is Viktor Frankl's Man's Search for Meaning. One of the many wonderful things he says in that book is "When we are no longer able to change a situation we are challenged to change ourselves." I see our work together as a team effort. Each client I see has his or her own story and unique perspective on that story, and I believe that within that story are the seeds to healing. My approach to helping my clients is in seeing each of my clients as a whole person who is struggling with something, whether it is anxiety, depression, relationships issues, substance abuse, communication, parenting, trauma, etc. Most often, it is how we perceive a situation or a struggle that defines how we deal with it or respond to it. I hope that I can help you with whatever your struggle may be, and to help you rewrite your story. I am not here to "fix" you, The work is yours to do, I am a facilitator and I provide evidenced based treatments, support and accountability., I help you gain clarity by providing a safe place to put your struggles and a place to heal and improve your overall health and wellbeing. Ultimately, my job is for you to eventually not need me.

Is emotional upheaval getting in the way of moving forward with your life? I would love the opportunity to help you to sort through the sources of the emotions, help to make them more manageable, and help you to regain some sense of direction and progress for your life. Working toward more refined beliefs and understanding about emotions, circumstances, and responses to them can be helpful. In my roughly 30 years as a psychologist I have mostly worked with people who have problems with anxiety, depression, PTSD, anger, relationship problems, and aging issues. I have worked with ages ranging from elementary school to 70s and a little older. I have found that experience allows me to realize client needs more quickly than in my early years in practice, and hope to use this experience to your benefit. Note that online scheduling is limited, and my practice schedule is Monday and Tuesday from 1pm to 6pm, and Wednesday from 12pm to 5pm. If you need assistance with scheduling, please contact me via the Grow Therapy messaging platform. I typically respond to messages during regular business hours. My name is Erika Cuttray, I am a licensed clinical social worker in the state of Georgia. I have been working in the mental health field since 2014 shadowing and preparing to become a therapist. I am a graduate of Savannah State University School of Social Work in Savannah Georgia where I started my career. I started my work as a therapist intern at a psychiatric facility, graduated, and went on to become a child therapist. During that time I worked with families and their children, dealing with all types of issues from divorce to childhood traumas. Additionally, I have experience in working with children, adolescents, and adults in crisis coming from acute and psychiatric settings. In the past, I worked as a therapist on teenage girl units, and the autism unit as well as younger children and older boys. I was afforded the opportunity to assess children and adolescents in times of crisis and process unexpected life challenges. I worked with a team of qualified individual's severe and persistent mental illnesses through clinical assessments, risk assessments, intake assessments, and client evaluations. The main form of treatment modalities I like to utilize is cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavior therapy, I also utilize mindfulness, solution-focused and client-centered tactics. We will discuss strengthening communication and working as a team in therapy. My goal is to help you achieve your goals, lay out expectations, and help you utilize tools that will benefit you for the rest of your life. Working together we can achieve a great outcome for your life. Not just for today, but for the long haul. If you have any questions feel free to reach out to me.

I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor in Georgia with experience helping individuals reconnect with themselves and create more intentional, balanced lives. I work with clients who feel overwhelmed, emotionally drained, or stuck in patterns that no longer serve them, whether that’s in relationships, life transitions, or their own internal dialogue. Many clients enter into therapy feeling uncertain, disconnected, or weighed down by stress, anxiety, or unresolved experiences. Through our work together, clients begin to feel more grounded, more clear, and more in control of their lives. They learn how to set boundaries without guilt, manage their emotions with confidence, and show up in their relationships in a way that feels more authentic and aligned. My clients often leave therapy with a stronger sense of self, a deeper understanding of their needs, and the ability to move through life with greater peace, clarity, and intention.
