Before you go any further and read anything else, I want you to give yourself a pat on the back for making it here! Whether you got here on your own or with someone’s help, consider it progress because you cared enough to try. You are probably here because you realized that it is time for things to change. As your therapist I am not here to fix it. The fear, the anxiety, the depression, the pain that you feel is not uncommon. My role is to help you heal. Together we can work on reaching your full potential and reconnecting you to the person you know yourself to be. My name is Danica (duh·knee·kuh) Nestor. I am a Licensed Social Worker with extensive experience in various clinical settings ranging from neurosurgery/neurosciences medical social work to psychiatry, with a passion for breaking stigmas and normalizing the utilization of mental health services.
In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, utilizing an evidence-based personality test. This will help to break the ice, but more importantly help me to learn how to best communicate to you in a language you understand. If time permits, we will also dive into goal settings that addressed the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create tailored interventions and plans for us to work through together in our follow-up sessions.
My greatest strengths as a provider is my passion towards what I do. I am intentional about the services I provide and my clients recognize the authenticity in our sessions together.
I love working towards the empowerment of young adult men and women through intentional therapeutic services. My clients don't need to have all the answers, just looking for clients who are ready to do the hard work toward improving their lives. I can help you recognize and acknowledge the thoughts/feelings you experience, embrace those thoughts/ feeling rather than avoid or denying them.
I will use CBT to formulate interventions and tools that can help improve your over mental well being.
I will use the treatment method to help identify the emotions you are feeling and get to the root of where the particular emotions is derived from. This treatment modality promotes healing for those who may have experienced a major life change or for couples who are needing imminent salvaging of their relationship
Aiding couple navigate through their issues and helping them make decided on whether their relationship is repairable or not
I will help clients identify the solutions to the issues that may be preventing them from progressing forward
