As a Christian Therapist, I want to meet you where you are at. I want to listen and support you in gaining the insight and clarity you need to become unstuck in life. Minimizing symptoms of anxiety, depression, low self-esteem and self-worth. I use a mix of therapy modalities to help you shed the narratives that no longer serve you. Thank you for taking time to learn a little about me. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Certified Addictions Professional with over 28 years of counseling experience in clinical, private and educational settings. I practice Client-centered therapy. For those who are unfamiliar with Client-centered therapy it is based on the practice that the CLIENT is best able to decide what to explore and mark as a goal of treatment. I empower all my clients without compromising empathy. Whatever the reason any individual, couple, or family comes to me, I challenge their skillset to solve problems and restore resolve; not simply provide short-term solutions. The first step to achieve this is to build a rapport with essential empathy and unconditional positive regard.
I believe in relationships. Seems a little elementary but one's physical, mental, and overall wellness is dependent on relations that we have with each other. No matter how large or small one's family is, and/or social circle we were all meant to establish and grow relationships. No level of true self-reflection would escape this fact. I witnessed this to be true in all of my clients as with myself.
I currently reside Central Florida with my wife, son, and three daughters. As a family we enjoy an active lifestyle supportive of one another and the family dynamic.
I welcome the opportunity to work with you, feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

You are ready to feel calm. You are ready to feel grounded and at peace with yourself. Most of all, you are ready to rediscover your true, confident self. Hi,
I am Kamala, a FL and GA LMHC. I received my undergraduate degree in Psychology at Jacksonville University in 2003 and my master's in Professional Counseling from Liberty University in 2015. I have worked as a mental health counselor for five years. However, I have been in the field of helping people for 18 years, starting as a case manager at a homeless shelter and later as a special education teacher. What can I can say? People are my niche.
Helping individuals get through life's difficulties is my purpose. The thing about it is, we may not be able to live 100% symptom-free, but we can live productive, fulfilling lives even with some discomfort. That may sound daunting, but I think it's realistic. Do you know why? Because even when we get through one thing, another thing is somewhere on the timeline waiting. I'm here to help you get through your "thing" now and prepare you for your "thing" later.
Hope to meet you soon.
I believe everyone has the ability to find their strength and wellness. Sometimes it takes a little extra support to get you there and that is where I come in. With almost two decades of experience in the field, we will work together as a team to reach your goals. There is no timeframe to reach these goals and we will get there at your speed. I treat therapy like you are driving a car, you choose the direction and speed while I act as GPS and help guide the path.

A trauma-focused approach allows us to work gently and effectively with your experiences while strengthening your emotional stability and sense of control.

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, I’ve had the privilege of supporting adults through anxiety, depression, trauma, chronic illness, grief, and major life transitions since 2014. I earned my Master’s degree in Counseling and Psychology from Troy University, and my work is grounded in both professional training and a genuine belief that people deserve a place where they can be heard without judgment.
After years of providing in-person therapy, I transitioned to fully virtual care in 2020. Today, I provide accessible, flexible telehealth services to adults in Florida and Vermont, allowing clients to receive support from a place where they feel comfortable and safe.
My clinical work is also informed by lived experience. I’ve navigated grief, significant life transitions, and having cancer twice. These experiences are not the focus of my work, but they have shaped how I show up as a therapist—grounded, present, and respectful of the complexity of what people carry. I understand that healing is not linear and that sometimes strength simply means getting through the day.
I work with adults who may look like they’re managing everything on the outside while feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, anxious, or disconnected on the inside. My approach is collaborative, practical, and paced to your readiness. I draw from CBT, mindfulness-based strategies, trauma-informed care, and person-centered therapy, focusing on both insight and practical tools for everyday life.
Therapy with me is a space where you don’t have to perform, have everything figured out, or push through alone. If something in your life isn’t working the way you want it to, therapy can be a place to slow down, understand what’s happening, and begin moving forward.

I am a mental health counselor licensed in Florida with 5 years of work experience. I have experience in helping clients from all walks of life; these include stress, anxiety, anger management, motivation, self esteem, confidence, depression, and coping with life changes. I have served in numerous mental health settings like hospitals, private practice, treatment centers, and community mental health agencies. During these moments, I have worked with numerous populations such as children, adolescents, young adults, older adults, and elders (the elderly).
My therapeutic approach will continuously maintain a client-centered approach with subtle confrontational crossroads. This means that during the process we will have to monitor and check for willingness and accountability, due to its importance in the changing process. I believe that the client-counselor relationship works best with mutual respect, clarity, and compassion. Treatment with me will be tailored to meet your unique and specific needs. My existence with you in the therapeutic space is to allow you the space to grow, experience nurturing, and reevaluate your understood identities.
In life, taking the first step can be scary and uncomfortable. Let me remind you that seeking a more fulfilling and happier life takes courage, and if you have made it this far...I do believe that you have what it takes to get there. I am here to support you in the process, watch you grow, and stare amazed at the new awakened being that you will become.
