New to Grow
I believe everyone has the ability to find their strength and wellness. Sometimes it takes a little extra support to get you there and that is where I come in. With almost two decades of experience in the field, we will work together as a team to reach your goals. There is no timeframe to reach these goals and we will get there at your speed. I treat therapy like you are driving a car, you choose the direction and speed while I act as GPS and help guide the path.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
In our first session, we will focus on getting to know each other and narrowing down your goals, needs, and wants. I believe therapy is a path where each step gains new a new insight or perspective of yourself. Our first time together will begin that path and set the direction of where you want to go and how you want to get there.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
I have worked in many different fields over the years and learned the best way to help someone grow is to be straight forward and flexible. What this means is I will tell you what needs to be said and heard, not what someone wants to hear. Therapy is about challenging our thoughts and beliefs that have been holding us back and finding new ways to look at our life and what we are going through. Being flexible means we will change and adjust our approach based on what you need. Every person is different and together we will find the tools that work for you, not a cookie cutter approach.

I work with those that feel stuck, confused, or unable to get out of their own head. I work with a number of things that bother people such as sadness, anger, feeling uneasy, and unsure of themselves. My goal in therapy is to help you feel more like yourself. I believe that you are the expert of yourself and you know yourself best.
Solution Focused Brief Treatment
We focus on your goals through directed counseling, looking at your strengths and how to work toward building the tools that will help you meet your goals.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Through CBT, we look at how our thoughts impact our actions and what steps will help shift to a more positive outcome.
