I graduated from the University of Miami with a Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling, I’ve helped numerous people who struggle with a variety of mental health diagnoses including depression, anxiety, trauma, complicated grief, amongst others. Then it was off to Central America. My eyes were wide open! I loved to experience different cultures. And my curiosity for differences never went away. A college mentor told me about the field of social work. So I got my MSW and thus began a new career. After years of working in the field and at various occupations, I decided to join DOD and become a Clinical Social Worker for the Navy. After 14 years of government work, I went into private practice. Now I'm here and I love it! It isn't everyone who can love what they do and do what they love.
