I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker for ten years now. You will always know yourself better than I can or will.
From a philosophical and theoretical standpoint. I am overwhelming more of an attachment theorist, and have been known to use existentialism from time to time to help make sense of something. I guess the question that remains though is; can a butterfly flap it's wings in Brazil and cause a tornado in Kentucky, or are we all simply just products of our childhood and mirrors of our parents traumas?
The duality of life.
Attachment Theory vs. Chaos Theory. Both have value. I digress.
My goal is to provide a petridish in which you can explore your self. Safe. Contained. Yet completely in your control. The paradox being, you likely already have what you need. I'll sit with you while you find it. I can give you my clinical opinion, or diagnosis, and recommendations along the way as well if you'd like that. I can just sit and listen. I can play devils advocate. My job is to listen, empower, observe, and provide feedback when requested.
Hi, I’m a therapist who believes therapy doesn’t have to feel intimidating or clinical to be effective. I’m straightforward and down-to-earth. I’ll meet you where you are without judgment, help you challenge what’s keeping you stuck, and walk alongside you as you make sense of what’s working—and what isn’t. I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all therapy. I believe in real conversations, real growth, and helping you feel like yourself again (or maybe for the first time).
Whether you’re navigating anxiety, burnout, relationship struggles, or just trying to feel more grounded in your life, I’m here to help you reconnect with your strength, your clarity, and your sense of possibility.
You don’t have to be perfect or polished. Just bring yourself—we’ll take it from there.

Hi, I’m Shari. With more than 26 years of experience as a licensed mental health counselor, I believe every person has inherent worth that exists beyond their struggles, diagnoses, or life circumstances. At the heart of my practice is a commitment to seeing people through mercy and grace, recognizing dignity beyond dysfunction, strength alongside suffering, and hope even in life's most difficult seasons. These principles shape how I understand each client's story and guide the therapeutic relationship we build together.
I recognize that many of the ways people cope with anxiety, trauma, grief, or life's challenges began as creative ways to survive difficult circumstances. Rather than defining people by their symptoms or past experiences, I seek to understand their unique story, honor the resilience that has carried them this far, and help them build healthier patterns that support lasting healing and growth.
I also believe spirituality is a source of meaning, hope, and resilience that is distinct from religious beliefs or practices. Whether you identify as religious, spiritual, both, or neither, I respect your values and will thoughtfully incorporate them into therapy only if they are important to you.
My approach is collaborative, client-centered, and evidence-based. Whether you're navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, caregiver stress, chronic illness, relationship challenges, or major life transitions, my goal is to help you gain insight, build practical coping skills, and reconnect with your strengths so you can move toward a more meaningful and fulfilling life.

Hi, I’m Janet Crisp, MSW, LCSW, CSAT-C, a trauma-informed therapist and founder of NuYu Counseling Center. I help individuals, parents, and families heal from pain that feels too heavy to carry alone, whether that’s trauma, grief, anxiety, depression, betrayal, or addiction.
I specialize in trauma, sex addiction, betrayal trauma, abuse, and personality disorders. I also help children and teens who struggle with anger, defiance, or behavioral issues, as well as, parents who feel lost or disconnected.
My approach blends CBT, DBT, and Motivational Interviewing with compassion and accountability. You don’t need to have it all figured out, you just need to take the first step. I’ll meet you where you are and help you move toward healing, growth, and a New You. 🌱
I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida who works with adults and couples navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship concerns, life transitions, self-esteem, and emotional overwhelm. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that therapy should feel both supportive and practical.
I draw from person-centered therapy, CBT, ACT, psychodynamic approaches, mindfulness, and other evidence-based tools depending on what fits each person best. I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. Some clients benefit from learning concrete skills and strategies, while others need space to better understand their patterns, relationships, emotions, and past experiences.
My goal is to create a space where you can be honest without feeling judged, gain a deeper understanding of yourself, and work toward meaningful changes that actually fit your life. Whether you are feeling stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected, or simply ready to understand yourself better, we can work together to figure out what is getting in the way and what moving forward can look like for you.
Do you feel overwhelmed, depressed, anxious or have limitations in your ability to function presently? With 33 years of clinical experience, I have a significant number of skills and methods to help. Not everyone benefits fully from only one or even two therapy methods. I tailor my skills and interventions to each person depending on their needs, problems and comfort. Different therapy methods are researched as to the best outcomes based on what symptoms you are struggling with. I follow the research and start with the approaches that are well-studied and show the best results. If you are not feeling better after a few sessions, we discuss this openly and I introduce you to a different approach. I look at therapy as a combined effort with both of us working together to meet your personal goals. While I guide you, your feedback is regularly requested so you are benefiting. You will find that I am very honest, direct, non-judgmental, compassionate and genuine in my desire to help my clients.

Because sleep quality is critical to physical and mental health I am passionate about helping people get good sleep.
I received my PhD from Duke University and have been a practicing psychologist for several decades. I work primarily with behavioral sleep medicine because sleep problems are so widespread, and there are not enough specialists to meet the need. I have published several articles and a book on sleep and am the director of the insomnia course for the World Sleep Academy, as well as a member of the Outreach and Public Education Committee, Society of Behavioral Sleep Medicine. I continue working with people with anxiety, depression, and couples issues on a limited basis. The methods I use are evidence-based and trauma-informed. I am also an ordained member of the clergy (rabbi) and consider one's spirituality an important part of treatment for many, though not all, people.
I’ve practiced telehealth exclusively since early 2020. Most people appreciate working this way because of convenience. Therapy is not adversely affected, and I am even able to do hypnotherapy via telehealth.
