I have 12 years of clinical experience working with teens, young adults and adults. In addition to working with common mental health conditions such as anxiety, depression, interpersonal challenges, etc., I have broader experience working with children of divorce, trauma, grief and LGBTQAI+ populations.
We all have a fundamental need to feel known, cared for and understood and I am honored to have a career in which I can be that person for others. The therapeutic process is hard to explain and better to be experienced. As we feel known, cared for and understood by not only another but with time, ourselves, it’s a special kind of magic that can bring about deep healing and shifts.

Something feels off, but you can't quite name it. Maybe you're anxious, burnt out, or just going through the motions — doing everything "right" and still feeling disconnected. I work with people who are ready to slow down, get honest with themselves, and figure out who they actually are beneath all the noise.
I'm Shauna — a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Yoga Teacher with over a decade of experience in behavioral health. My approach blends evidence-based therapy with mindfulness and somatic practices, because I believe real healing happens in the body as much as the mind. Sessions are virtual, so you can do this work from wherever feels most comfortable.
I'm also drawn to the deeper questions — the ones about meaning, identity, and what you're really here to do. If you've ever felt like conventional therapy doesn't quite hold all of you, my holistic approach makes room for that — spiritually curious people feel at home here.
As a warm, positive, and energetic therapist, I bring extensive experience working with clients of all ages, from children and adolescents to older adults, across various settings. My approach is open-minded and adaptable, ensuring that each client feels comfortable and understood. Hi, I’m a therapist with 5 years of experience in the mental health field, including time spent working in a women’s correctional facility and supporting adolescents as a school social worker for the past 3 years. These roles have given me deep insight into the resilience of the human spirit and the importance of creating a safe, nonjudgmental space for healing.
Sometimes our thoughts and feelings can make it seem like they're "running the show." It’s common for life to get busy, new experiences to come into the mix, and for our old coping strategies to come back.
Many people struggle with mood changes, low motivation, or feeling stuck. My practice offers support for adults dealing with depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, trauma, grief, and LGBTQ+ issues. I use approaches like EMDR, DBT, ACT, and attachment-based therapy to help people find relief and build practical skills. My sessions are honest and supportive. Clients can expect a space where it’s safe to be open, work toward change, and learn new ways to handle daily challenges.

I received my Bachelor’s of Social Work degree from Florida Gulf Coast University and later earned my Master’s of Social Work degree from Florida State University. Before beginning my work in private practice, I worked in different mental health school settings and an intensive outpatient program. I also identify and work with members of the LGBTQ+ community and pride myself on creating a safe, affirming environment for everyone to be vulnerable and honest without fear of rejection. I spend my free time reading the latest romantasy novel, spending time with my loved ones, and crafting.
